View Full Version : Falling stars once again try invasion, tonight!
I would have expected a topic already, but since I failed to spot any I guess I'll make it.
Tonight, that's the night from the 12th to the 13th there will be a large meteor shower, sources quote 60 to a hundred visible falling stars per hour.
I'll leave it to somebody better informed than me to explain how why and when exactly, but I'll be watching for sure!

My friend texted me this morning to tell me about it, and about how we're going to do our typical late night picnic in the middle of the field.
Its exciting =)

i love being a night owl.
I'll probably end up walking down to the bay to get away from the infernal streetlights.

Well, didn't catch them last night. Ruddy England - always rains when the Persids and Leonids come round...

i wanted to go. Is it still to late for night on the 13th? I know it is supposed to be from Jul 23 through Aug 24th is when you can see the Persieds. The peak was yesterday, but I think tonight would be good as well.

well, it was good, but people in israel were realy expecting to litterely, a rain of meteors, when lots of em comeing at once. (why should i pay to enter a field full of young children yelling that 'they cant see' instead of camping in a dark lone field?)
