sorry for not knowing the proper terms, but why such a tiny box to compose posts in? could it be adjusted? are there other options that could be implemented? if so are they bandwidth hogs, or is there no way to include an option to switch between them and this size is to protect people posting from tiny tiny screens?

There should be arrows at the top right of the "writting box" above the smiles. It should fix it. Otherwise it can be a resolution/screen problem. Maybe.

Not sure about everyone else, but at least for me you can click and drag the bottom right corner of the reply box to enlarge it.

Huh, never knew about that. Could be useful.

I think that that's the browser, cause I heard Chrome can do that, but I can't in Firefox.

Ah, I'm on Safari at the moment. It lets me make my reply box like this:

Mmm, recursive.

Oh hey! That is neat!

Yeah, it would be nice if that feature became more common.

In most cases, unfortunately, you need to use the arrows in the top right corner of the grey box.

Mmm, recursive.

It would have been, if he had pretyped out the image's URL. I was dissapointed.

Mine is big enough.

But still not up to xkcd standards.

Well, that's even less recursive. On a related note, woot! I'm not the only Opera user on the forums (btw, you might want to apply that update).

Just applied, also, wasn't trying for recursive, it was just a convenient screenshot.

Try pressing CTRL and - (minus) keys at the same time.

That's usually the shortcut for 'zoom out', which would make the text box even smaller. I think you meant Ctrl + (plus sign) there.

Wouldn’t help much on a relative space level, since it would be zooming the text and probably images (depending on browser) as well.

And this shortcut, while common across most browsers does have the potential to vary across systems.

I was considering photoshopping the image and putting the URL in but that was too much work. :smalltongue:

By using photobucket, you can just get the url of an image you have up already, then change the name at the end to what you know you'll use.

By using Skitch, I can choose the area of my screen shot, place the circle, and post/share it within (literally) 10 seconds. Did I mention I didn't want to put much work into it? :smalltongue: :smallwink:

That's cool. I didn't know that I could do that. For most of my homebrew, I write it in Word or Excel, then C/P it to the writing box for formatting & posting. Very cool. :smallcool:

Color me impressed. :smallcool:
