This thread is made for playing chess in, in case the title wasn't clear enough.

For convenience, this is the starting setup:

The gilded lord, Duke Purnar, in all his majesty rides onto the battlefield in a palanquin hoisted by a pair of mud covered peasants.
"Charge!"
A pair of dirty farmers wielding pitchforks runs forward, as much away from Purnar as towards the enemy.

Count Raspael bares his fangs as he smilingly overviews the battlefield. He pulls back his satin cape, reading his sword for the battle to come and already feeling the sweet scent of spilled blood.

"And so begins the dance..."

He motions for the harried villagers to charge.

The glutinous friar lumbers ahead, sword in hand.

A dosen maidens in fine robes and golden jewelery dance out, two in the center carrying a bejeweled box.

The assault from the posse continues. One peasant with eyes wide in fear runs up beside the holy man, jabbing with a badly notched sword at him.

A skeletal steed prances out from the ranks, it's rider dressed in plate and wielding a heavy morning star. The animated steed prances in place, eager to attack.

OOC: Of course, no problem. Should something else come up, feel free to drop off; it's a benefit of the medium to be able to reply later ^^ Just notify me and we can finish up further on.

"Yesssss..." Dressed in a black evening gown, the vampire Countess blaze eerily fast across the battlefield, her fangs extended and her eyes gleaming purple.

The holy man charges, and with one swing of his sword bring the knight of its horse. The second swing shatters it's skull.
Bishop B3 takes knight E6.

"You are getting annoying." The Count hisses, taking a step to the side.

The holy man draws a stake and charges. He puts it threw the countess's chess, and sprinkles her corpse in holy water in prayer.
