Ok, a long time ago I asked my friends if they could have any three spells as a SLA 10-Spell Level per day, what would they choose? Basically this got him thinking about it and he is making a pseudo D20 Modern game.
We are going to be the expert class (pathfinders version, if anyone cares) but use the D20 Modern information for skills, equipment etc. 10 point buy by PF again. DC is set off of a stat of your choice for each SLA. Each SLA needs a different stat. Furthermore you get a stat bump and a feat each level, but since human is the only choice you loose the extra feat and skills.
As for my character I haven't really worked on his whole backstory yet, but he is going to be a cha type, most probably a con artist. The world is set in 2011 (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture) and we are the only one or some of the few with these powers. It is either green rocks (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GreenRocks) or the regular MacGuffin (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacGuffin). He said we can choose if it magical or psionic source that did this, but mechanically its no different from what I know currently.
So I'm wondering what SLA abilities I should choose. All of core is basically approved, but anything with costly exponent is going to be enforced. I can choose from SpC and the Advanced Player Guide for pathfinder, but since he doesn't know those spells well he is going to approve each on an individual basis.
TL;DR: What three spells would you choose for a con artist type?
I'm leaning towards Shadow Conjuration Greater(3/day), Heal(4/day), and PAO(2/day).
I know major creation, teleport greater are already chosen by some other people. No clue about anything else.
*edit* Also in order: Dex, con, and cha. That for purposes of DCs only.
*Additional edit* For those unfamiliar with dark matter, think MIB, Torchwood, or X-Files.
