The peace between Chalym and Tujivaro has been long standing, given the history between the two countries. It began when the old King of Chalym died and his son took over some twenty years ago. Since then there have been many peace treaties and compromises passed, easing the tension between the two countries and increasing the amount of trade between them.
Just over a week ago, the kings from both Chalym and Tujivaro are meeting in the capital of Garganth, a neutral location, to talk of a more serious, permanent peace between the three countries. The King of Garganth, despite wishing to stay out of this, has appointed an advisor for the peace negotiations.
Now, Chalym and Tujivaro are under the rule of the children of the two absent kings, in what is presumably a test of their skill at running the country, even if only for a few weeks.
