Hi, I was just wondering what a world map of the OotS world would look like. Could someone post some maps so I could get an idea?

Here you go. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0639.html)

(It's in the 12th panel.)

Thanks, that should help. Now all I have to do is find out what is on the other side of the world...

I don't think there is anything.

UNLESSSSSSSSSSS the world V's Familiar saw in the rift was, in fact, the OOTS world, in which case the other side presumably looks something like this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0672.html).

But yeah, assuming it's not (because that would be weird) I think there's only the Northern Continent, the Southern Continent and the Western Continent. The other side is presumably blank. Or, y'know, not drawn to conventional globe standards because they're pretty confusing.

Yeah, now all we need to do is make a world map using the strip where V killed the dragon and the one showing a map of the western continent. So, we know Gobbotopia is in the southern continent and stretchesd up to the isthmus, where I would presume the mountains are.

There's a bit of map in Don't Split the Party too. Azure City/Gobbotopia is located just about where the 4th downward pointing bit of lightning in 639 crosses the coast, just about the centerline of the hemisphere.

There was an awesome thread a while back where people were creating maps themselves and updating them based on new information as each strip was published.

Unfortunately, reviving this strip means that it would get locked for "thread necromancy," which I actually think is a shame.

I think that it's better to be able to revive an old thread if you have something new to add to it, rather than have to keep creating the same thread over and over again, with people saying the same thing over and over again.

I'll see if I can find a link to the old thread later when I have time, so people can at least read through it.

Edit: Here's the thread to which I referred (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5171). It hasn't seen action since January, so if I understand the forum rules correctly, posting in it now will probably just get it locked, but it's got some fun stuff to read.

Well, that is pretty helpful. Now I'll just add political boundaries to the world map

You could always ask permission to resurrect it. You never know, the answer might even be "yes"

As a general rule of thumb, threads which catalogue information (as opposed to discussion threads) don't get locked when a new post is added after a period of inactivity. In my utterly unqualified opinion, posting in that thread would be fine. I've certainly never seen any threads like that ever get locked, in any case.
