So, as the thread title states, I'm looking for anti spyware. I don't have a problem (yet), but I'm using Avast!, which I realized doesn't do anti spyware, so why wait for a problem to arise?

Spybot Search & Destroy.

That doesn't appear to link to anything, but I'll look at it.

Er, what makes you think Avast doesn't do it? Their product page would disagree:

That doesn't appear to link to anything, but I'll look at it.Here's (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/) a proper link to Spybot.

I prefer MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (http://www.malwarebytes.org/). I'm given to understand some kinds of malware can subvert this program. However, I have not encountered this problem. It has solved every issue I've come across, and it plays better with other software on my machine than Spybot does.

Respectfully,

Brian P.

I use Spybot primarily and Ad-Aware for things it doesn't catch.

I use Spybot primarily and Ad-Aware for things it doesn't catch. This is what I do, too, though Malware Bytes is also highly regarded and worth looking in to.

Heh, I see what I did there. I put "Sbybot Search & Destroy" instead of a URL
