Or just look at the whole thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=9270196).

Remember! We have two categories of voting for common voters, and one just for the entrants: Playground Favorite, Best Characterization, and Wish I'd Thought of That! So remember to list your vote for both categories! Entrants are allowed to vote for themselves, but that's usually poor form, and you're encouraged not to unless you truly believe yours is far and away superior.

Playground Favorite: This is the basic one. Any member of the playground who wishes to will vote for whichever entry they like the best. Whoever gets the most votes wins.

Best Characterization: For this category, voters are to vote for whichever entry they think has the most distinct characterization of the spellcaster who invented the spells. Anybody can make a set of themed spells - like Otiluke's spheres - but through the variety of spells he left us with, we can really understand that Mordenkainen was a mage who enjoyed luxury, safety, and seclusion, with a penchant for conjuration. While backstory can (and should) be a factor for this category, it should mostly be based on what the spells alone tell us about the caster.

Wish I'd Thought of That!: Only the entrants are allowed to vote in this category. Entrants will PM me their vote for whichever entry they wish they had made themselves. Maybe you really liked the fluff behind it and wish you'd thought it up; maybe you think the fluff is dumb, but one of the mechanics really caught your fancy and you wish you could've used it in your own creation. Whatever! Pick the one you most wish you'd thought of!

Playground Favorite: I've got to go with Kuthar on this one, both for blending the Sublime Way with the Art and inspiring my own work in this contest. Props, zagan!

Best Characterization: I've got to hand it to PId6 with his Luck spells. Although, I originally just saw them as another cute little luck mechanic, looking again at the spell lists that these spells are on makes one wonder how much of Edward's luck was divine inspiration, natural prowess, or just plain dumb luck.

Playground Favorite: The Bookkeeper's Spellbook Very good fluff and blend multiple source of power very well.

Best Characterization: On the Life and Times of Edward the Sly really well done using and underused mechanic and with very good fluff.

Playground Favorite: The Subtle and Sneaky Spells of Synosto Septimus, by PairO'Dice Lost. Nothing much to say, really, other than that I really like the spellbook. My favorite spell is Synosto's suitability shroud.

Best Characterization: On the Life and Times of Edward the Sly, by PId6. I love the luck components, and I love the last spell, edward's replenishing luck, especially. Great spells, and I can almost see Edward's character sheet right now.

Playground Favorite:The Bookkeeper's Spellbook. The interaction between spells and various other power sources is interesting.

Best Characterization:Synosto Septimus.

Playground Favorite: Kuthar's Spellbook by zagan. I like the mechanics that merge arcane magic with the Sublime Way, and it's fairly well done in general.

Best Characterization: Gotta give this one to Bibbuluh's Spellbook by playswithfire. The spells are all fairly hilarious in nature, and give a very good portrayal of the man behind them as well.

Playground Favorite/Best Characterization: As he created a set of spells and a character that inspired me to do some homebrewing of my own based around the Bookkeeper, my votes here pretty much have to go to Thrice Dead Cat and his Bookkeeper's spellbook.

Alright, bump for more votes! And I may extend the voting period if we don't get some more pretty quick. I've been kinda bad about keeping this thread visible, it's totally my fault.

Alright, while I would've liked more, we really did get a decent amount of votes. And man, did we have a close race! I had to claim and execute tie-breaking responsibilities for both Playground Favorite and Wish I'd Thought of That! Speaking of which, I decided to give zagan honorable mention, seeing as he'd tied for both of them.

Next contest will be up soon!
