In Thunderbird, I have three root folders. Each of these three has an Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Trash subfolder, and the Local Folders root folder also has an Outbox subfolder. The two that are not Local Folders were created automatically when I imported from Outlook Express, and are each for a mail account. (The folder names are the e-mail addresses themselves, and they have envelope icons, wheras Local Folders has a computer icon.)
I want to create another root folder like those two. How do I do it?

Also... How do I get rid of tabs entirely? I've set my settings to "open messages in a new window". The tab is just taking up valuable screenspace. I have the quickfilter bar off, and don't need the icon to turn it back on. That icon and a single tab are all that will ever be on that row, and I'd rather simply not have them there at all, and be able to see more of my inbox instead.
