Audacity Quick Question

Hullo all. I'm learning how to use Audacity in conjunction with my new JamVox recording device. I've been trying to layer guitar, bass, and vocal tracks, but have one issue:

Is there a way I can play a previously recorded track while recording a new one? For example: I record a guitar track, trim it, and then record a bass track while listening to the guitar track with headphones?

depends entirely on headphones and mic. the mic on my gigaware set always picks up the speakers if i don't adjust the minimum volume on it.
