My players shall now proceed to ignore this thread. Shoo!

I'm presently DMing a campaign that started at 1st level (presently at 2nd, nearly at 3rd), and I'm in need of build advice for some of the BBEGs that I'm presently envisioning.

My players are capable of optimisation, however they seem to have not done so this time around (that may change later). Regardless, these villains should pose challenges for the party at the appropriate level, so that the fights would be challenging and not a piece of cake for either the players or the villains.

As for sources, all books open save for things from Dragon magazines.

Specifically, I'm asking for class/feat/skill (and possibly equipment) selections for these three:

#1 LE Sharakim (Races of Destiny) Lich Arcanist. The main BBEG, and I'm thinking of wizard, however I'm absolutely stumped when it comes to what sort of wizard build would be best, bearing in mind he should be able to solo a party of four to five PCs who are probably going to be a couple of levels lower than him.

#2 LE Half-Elf* Noblewoman. I'm thinking of a Gish build of some sort, I did consider Sorcadin but I'm not sure if it works for the character or not. She will be supported by several mooks, so her build doesn't need to be capable of holding out on her own against the party. I'm thinking of Archer of some sort, with magic mixed in. (there was a fascinating build for the Arcane Archer that someone posted at one point, I forgot whom though.)

*Race chosen because it fits the story, not for optimisation, I will most likely refuse to change the race should anyone suggest it. :smallwink:

#3 NE Yak Folk Ur-Priest. Assuming the info here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85318) is used as the base with which to work with. All I really want is for this character to qualify for the Ur-Priest and be able to take it all the way to the end. Soloing the party is probably how he will be fought, though he might have a Djinni slave as help.

Any and all help appreciated, thanks.

What levels are these BBEGs supposed to fight the PCs? It's going to make a big difference on their builds whether they fight the PCs at level 5 or level 15, for example. That said, I'm going to assume higher levels and suggest accordingly.

Arcanist: Abjurer/Master Specialist/Initiate of the Sevenfold Veils.

Being an Iot7V means that he would have the defensive capabilities to solo an entire party. He should stack on lots of buffs such as Greater Mage Armor, Superior Resistance, Greater Blink, etc, and be very hard to kill. For offense, he should always open up with a Chained (from Metamagic Rod) Greater Dispel Magic or Chained Reaving Dispel on the PCs, then rely on Necromancy debuffs (such as Enervation) as well as Conjuration battlefield control spells (like Black Tentacles). His undead minions (from Animate Dead and Create Greater Undead) would handle the rest.

Noblewoman: Cloistered Cleric archer (with Knowledge Devotion, Elf Domain, and War Domain), Ardent, or Ranger 2/Warblade/Eternal Blade archer.

The cleric build just wants to buff up and then unload some arrows. If the power level needs to be higher, add DMM: Persist. Ardent would provide a psi-gish option, and can get all the powers you want via Substitute Mantles. Take Zen Archery for both. The Eternal Blade option isn't strictly magical, but is pretty good and can be quite strong with a semi-magical flavor.

Ur Priest: LA 2/RHD 5/Savage Bard 1/Ur Priest X

Savage Bard gets you the +2 Fort needed as well as all the skills. He can take Education at 1st level to make all Knowledge skills class skills as well to help in that department. For combat, do the standard Clericzilla routine and beatface.

Higher levels, assume BBEGs will be fought around levels 15-19. (15 or so for Noblewoman, 16-17 for Ur-priest, 18-19 for Lich)

Thanks for those, the Lich looks particularly interesting. As far as LA goes, it can probably be forgotten for the Yak Folk in terms of building it as it's a villain and not a PC.

Where is Eternal Blade Archer from?

Where is Eternal Blade Archer from?Eternal Blade is from ToB. It's elf-only PrC by the book.

Hey, has anyone done a monster class for Yakk folk?
