View Full Version : So just how backwards-compatible is Pathfinder

So I was considering buying into Pathfinder finally (there isn't going to be a new edition any time soon is there?) but was wondering just how easy it is to use both your 3.5 library and the Pathfinder books without losing balance. For instance, how would the classes from Tome of Magic perform in a campaign where they were playing alongside pure-Pathfinder classes? Would it be balanced? How much tweaking would be needed?

The binder should be just fine. Tome of Battle imports easily too, as does Magic of Incarnum. The stuff Pathfinder has the most trouble interacting with is all in Core.

It's pretty easy. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ is the core pathfinder srd. dreamscarred holds the beta for psionics (and they are awesome). Compatibility is super easy to convert. As said, the bigger deals were all already done in core.
