How do I get my hair like Don Draper?! Currently it looks like this

Also, how the heck do you pull off that awesome 'wet' look?

First, you must chase your dreams. Press Z to make your wishes come true.

Second, that (to my eye) looks mostly like use of hair gel. And possibly naturally glossy hair. Or naturally unruly hair.

Given the era Mad Men is set in, Don Draper's hair is probably achieved using Brylcreem! Don't know if you can even still get that...

If not, pomade is still available.

this is something i can wax lyrical about

you will need (depending on your hair type - how thick/fine your hairs are) a comb or a brush
product - a contentious subject
patience

i would recommend a haircut first and foremost - go to either a) a barbers run by a really old guy b) a barbers run by rockabillies c)someone with similarly rad hair to don draper who can recommend you where they get their hair cut. These are the only three groups of people to trust to do a DECENT short back and sides. Its mind boggling to know how many barbers and hair dresses can mess up such a classic.

in all fairness - if your hair is the length it is in that photo, you'll be fine, but any longer and the sides get a bit tricky

product-wise: brylcream is a good 'starter' product. Its not difficult to style with or wash out. My only problem with it is that you will have to carry a comb on you as the holds not that strong so you may need tp flick the odd hair back into place
you can go with wet look gels too i guess but their not my cup of tea
pommades will be your friend

youtube "pompadour" and you'll find a shedload of how-to videos. Don draper has similar hair to many greasers, just a bit flatter than a traditional pomp, so its all in how you style it. Personally i go for a more 1940s clark gable esque look with my hair, so i can vouch that it works

Do it by shaving your hair off.

It'll work in time, trust me.

no need to shave it all off - just get a DECENT short back n sides
