(Very sorry to interrupt your Duel, but it's only now that I've noted tgva's use of Soul Rope.

Soul Rope, as per rulings, & being a Normal Trap Card that doesn't alter ATK &/or DEF or state that it can or should be activated in the Damage Step, can not be activated during the Damage Step, which is when monsters are destroyed by battle.
