This afternoon my friends and I will have a copy of Minecraft (each) and I am currently hoping to find a porgram to record my screen, in-game sound and my own voice so I can do a Let's Play. Can anybody suggest any freeware that I can use to do this?

You could use Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/). The trial version only saves screenshots in .bmp form though.

Oh wait, you want video. The trial version of Fraps only records for 30 and has watermarks.

Try Camstudio (http://camstudio.org/). I used it for a playthrough of Banjo-Kazooie and it worked pretty well. You'll have to fiddle with the codecs and such to get the best quality.

I actually tried Cam studio and wash shocked to find that it recorded 13 seconds of video with a file size of 34MB.:smalleek:

Edit: I did meddle around with the settings a bit but I really need the higher quality constant-stream video.

Uncompressed video is massive like that. You can encode it later to shrink the file. I don't know if any recorders will encode on the fly because it's so CPU intensive it'll lag the hell out of your game.
