I am completely new to the wizard class, and although I read all I can in the internet (including the batman guide), I am sure some of you guys have played this build or a variation of it before. Do you have any tips for me, specially at low levels? How is my Feat selection?

I was thinking about leaving 1/4 of my spell slots open every day (empty or as uncast spells from the day before) so that I can wait and see what kind of encounters I'll be having before preparing what I'll need in 15 minutes, is that generally a good idea?

I rolled insanely high stats too (pure luck), this is how I distributed them (counting racial adjustments): Str 11, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 20, Wis 16, Cha 14.

I'm aware I'm probably not going to be great in the earlier levels, but since I have a nice Dexterity and I am a Sun Elf, I'm probably going to be using a longbow as much as I can.

At low levels? Not really worth it to leave a spell slots open in my opinion.
1st level scrolls are very cheap (buy or scribe a couple of useful ones magic weapon, protection from evil, comprehend languages, mount, ray of enfeeblement, silent image, tenser's floating disc, shield).

With that high Int, I'd say load up on spells that require saves (color spray or sleep).

Sleep and Color Spray rule low level combat, basically.

Looking at future levels then, how is my Feat selection? Anything you guys would recommend I change?

The classic selection of awesome 1st/2nd level spells:

- Sleep
- Color Spray
- Grease
- Enlarge Person
- Silent Image
- Wall of Smoke [SC]
- Benign Transposition [SC]

Along with the obvious:
- Protection from Evil
- Mage Armor
- Shield
etc.

- Web
- Glitterdust
- Pyrotechnics
- Alter Self
- Arcane Turmoil [CM]
- Invisibility
- Blinding Color Surge [PHBII]
- Jaws of the Moray [Storm]

And defensive:
- Mirror Image
- Invisibility
- Alter Self (yes, yes, I know I'm repeating; they're multi-use)
- Resist Energy
etc.

And yeah, some feats you might want to consider:
- Elven Spell Lore [PHBII]: If you want bonuses to Dispelling.
- Arcane Disciple [CDiv]: With that much Wisdom, you could get a huge array of spells with this one.
- Arcane Mastery [CArc]: Taking 10 on Dispel-checks is huge if you plan on using them more.
- Planar Touchstone [PlH]: Bind Catalogues of Enlightenment to gain a Domain granted power; Inquisition-domain grants +4 Untyped to Dispel-checks.
