Not at all :smallbiggrin: Yeah, Keldorn is awesome. In fact, I think I remember reading about a Keldorn same-sex romance that was cut from BG II(although there's a chance it may have been a mod, but i'm fairly certain it was cut content), which would have been both awesome and revolutionary if they had left it in because it was:


a male same-sex relation(in 2000, when there were few, if any gay options in games at that time, and that fact that he's so different from the 'gay option' norm; i.e a young, sparkly, pretty-boy elf for girls to squee over, as opposed to, y'know, a man)
intergenerational(there's a reason I included him in the sexy grandpa batch.)
controversial(because he was married)

I used to be pretty deep in BG scene and this is the first time I hear about something like that. I've heard about a mod that would make Keldorn a viable romance for female PC, a mod that has been discontinued, I believe. But a same sex romance for PC? That's a first.

Fascinating. It showed up for me apparently because I had the picture in the cache from having visited the main page. When I tried to save the linked image to my hard drive, it saved the error message and not the image that I had on the screen. Had to empty the cache first before I could save the actual image on the site. :smallbiggrin:

But now it should show correctly, in all it's glory.

Here's the background of it:

"The story behind this picture is simple. It is very similar to the Chinese Yen and Yang philosophy. The idea is to encapsulate the characters of what a good man would have. The dragon symbolizes power/strength, wisdom, confidence and leadership. The woman symbolizes compassion, commitment, empathy and control. The chain links the two parts together, though it is frail enough that the dragon knows it can sever the link anytime. The chain is gold so it symbolizes not only the link, but the importance/value each places on the chain. The dragon knows it can break the chain, but the gold reminds him that he needs the woman to be whole, so the dragon keeps the link whole on purpose. Even if the dragon breaks the chain, it would be at the smaller end and there would always be the larger portion attached, so he would always have the reminder that there was supposed to be more there where the chain is. The size differences are meant to remind me that it isn’t 2 halves, rather the largest part being the dragon, with a smaller portion of the whole being the woman. The woman values the link because the dragon provides safety and security and helps keep things in balance. Hence the name "perfect man"."

I found bits of it pretty dodgy, but then the person who wrote it said it's not meant to represent a man and a woman or a relationship or whatever, but rather the whole thing embodies a single, ideal, person. So that made a bit more sense to me.

Yeah. He may be an evil scheming son of a wolf, but he also embodies one of the three forces of creation, favored of Din. And in Windwaker at least, he's shown to be, if not a good man, at least a noble one.

As for the King of Red Lions and the ghost and wolf-Link, I don't think they're placed where they are because of their alignment, but because of their origins. While the King is now a talking boat, originally, he was a mere man, and so is placed among the other "mundane"/Hyrulian people. The ghost and wolf-Link, while good creatures, are spawned from dark energy unwillingly thrust upon them, and so are placed at the bottom.

I like the 3 goddesses at the top. Also, I'd forgotten exactly how much nightmare fuel that darn moon provides.

I'm fairly sure his permutation wields a trident in Link to the Past. His shadow surely does in fight against Nightmares in Link's Awening. His Phantom in Ocarina of Time also wields either a trident or a staff in Ocarina of Time - though I think you're correct that his human form as shown in the picture never wields it. :smallsmile:

EDIT: Also, King of the Red Lions is not among the ordinary people, but in a row with mystical figures who've served as mentors or companions to Link. But who is that little creature before Midna?

Nah, she is rather pretty, plus I'm trying to avoid 'sexy but oh so horribly stupid' untill I exhaust all other resources, and of course; sexy and sensible tend to be mutually exclusive for the most part.:smallmad: Although now I'm not sticking to a 'wimmens in armour' theme anymore, so I can post some decent(in both senses of the word) artwork involving non-stripperiffic women that still look good.

And note that I didn't say attractive; I said sexy. I find strong, confident warrior women(y'know, the ones that wear armour designed to actually protect you, not scream "lookit mah boobies!") to be quite attractive myself, but generally not sexy. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. Sexy is something that should be special, not thrown onto every living thing that has breasts. In my opinion, you wouldn't be turned on by a woman in a suit of full-plate(sensible full-plate, mind you) unless you had a fetish for it; same me with me and suits. A good-looking guy in a equally good-looking suit makes me go Aah Aaahn~ (http://i.imgur.com/mIxwq.gif) but that's because it's a fetish for me, not inherently sexy. Attractive? maybe, but not sexy.

@ Renegade Paladin - Thanks for the effort, but unfortunately not quite right. The class attacks with the darkness itself, and not any elemental energies. The fourth one is close, but even that looks like she is gathering light, rather than darkness. And I guess I should have specified unarmored. :smalltongue:

Those are some promising ones, thanks! The first one has the right feel of commanding the darkness but feels a little too modern, personally. I'm digging the creep factor of the little red riding hood one, and while she isn't expressly commanding the dark, it could still pair well with the class. The third one obviously has the best feel of actually commanding darkness, but the extra oddities, like the floating eyeballs, throw it off a little for me.

What, you can't have druids who focus in environments below the ground? There's an environment down there that the druids can represent and protect, they just tend to be focused on fungus and slimes, as well as the occasional burrowing creatures. The druidess, Galeena, from ye olde Mt. Zogon comics that were in Dungeon magazine was an excellent example of an underground druid.

The antenna eyebrows are a Warcraft thing. Haven't really seen them elsewhere.

Other than the white hair, which is actually quite uncommon in night elves compared to blue, green and purple, drow are quite unlike night elves. For one thing, night elves never have obsidian skin instead of shades of blue, are far taller than humans rather than shorter and their facial features are much more exaggerated compared to humans, where as drow only have rounder features and slightly leaf-shaped ears.

EDIT: Also, while it doesn't matter for females, night elves tend to have lots of facial hair, while drow cannot grow any.

Yeah, almost certainly a "normal" troll from the Chaos Wastes (there is no such thing as normal in the Chaos Wastes, but you get the idea).

Now, a request of my own, or two to be precise.

First of all, something suitable for a character portrait. Male Human Rogue/Swashbuckler, wearing a shain shirt and generally oriental clothes. The most important thing is his "nice hat", a fez (preferable purple with green details, but most anything fez-like could have potential to work). Weapons does not need to be shown, but if a short sword or two (or a longbow) are visible, it's a plus.

Second request, pics of halfling or gnome lasses. There has been woefully few of those, and I have something of a thing for the small girls... er, that came out wrong, let me restate it. Something for the small, but adult, women...

Finally, pic tax. Apologies for the fact that all are reposts from earlier threads (or perhaps even this one), but this is my major source for fantasy girls...

Getting ladies to suddenly and inexplicably feel the need to take off clothing is perhaps one of the better uses for Craft Wondrous Item. I know if my society were falling into ruin, I'd try to get something like that snuck in there. The adventurers with female party members would forever sing of my glory.

However, if you look closely, you notice that the tattoo which had previously been covered by those pesky pants is of the same design as the carving on the lower center of the statue, so she's trying to get a look at both. Making physical contact with an object you're focusing on isn't exactly odd.

It's from the last (I think) issue of Dragon magazine, it's a spellcaster using their one feat so that the spellcaster tattoos their spells unto their body instead of having a spellbook. My guess is she's checking to see if her tattoo matches the spell on the statue.

Character concept: Evil wizard who uses slave girls as spellbooks. Even better as a GM villain, because then a good-aligned party wizard gets to be all conflicted about whether or not to take them for himself. On one hand, awesome spells. On the other hand...yeah, there's more than a couple issues there.

Also, I've got one or two swashbuckler-y types below, though I'm doubt they're what you're looking for. But wait, oriental swashbuckler? That's gonna give a lot of different results depending on who you ask, and it'll be a rare find either way. Can you be a little more clear?

That's why you record the spells in a normal spellbook and promise to erase them from the girls afterward so others won't exploit them. It's Win-Win. :smallbiggrin:

Preferably, though not required, male. Light or unarmored. It can't be wielding a normal weapon, but should have some kind of shimmering energy weapon. The class is a mix of monk and soulknife, and adapts the mind blade feature. Additionally the person (humanoid, please) should be in obviously excellent physical condition. An appearance of wisdom or understanding would be a plus. Preferably not in an anime style of art, but if you have a good one I won't turn you down.

OMG, psylocke is freaking perfect! :smallbiggrin: I can't decide between the second and third pictures! The second gives of a calmer, wiser edge, but the third is more dynamic and aggressive.

I'm looking for a better picture for a class i'm homebrewing in the Base Class Contest - The Nightmare Sculptor (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10505773&postcount=3). It's basically a spellcaster that has "I'm so bonkers I can kill you." as a class feature.

The other one? I've always wanted to make an Epic Destiny, but I could never find the right picture. The name? The Paradox God. As long as it looks god-y and paradox-y, it should do.

There is a warning, y'know. And believe you me, I saw much worse things when I was searching.

Pre-post edit: It just dawned on me: When Fran does an operation(usually proclaimed by her shouting "Begin the operation!"), she usually has her extra arms(it varies between two to six extras). Now imagine that picture plus said arms and a rather grisly medical tool in each hand.

Oh, and by the way, that character is Fran, from the manga Franken Fran. She's a mad scientist who's only goal is to preserve life at all costs, and I do mean at all costs. Doesn't sound bad, you say? Well, She'll save your life whether you want to or not, even if death would thousands times more merciful because she literally cannot comprehend taking a life even as a mercy-killing. Did I mention she has medical skills a step away from raising the dead and the mind set of a five year old? Yeah, you won't walk away from it without feeling at the very least nauseous at some point. I well recommend reading it.:smallamused:

My request: I'm currently playing a human Invoker. It was bad enough trying to find a suitable picture of a guy in mail wielding a rod with a staff in the off-hand. Now my DM's gone and given me a shortsword with a silver flame blade which is usable as a rod. I've been working on an image of my own for him using a different style; but if somebody finds a good image, that would rock. I could spend months trying to get this one just right.

My first thought was "She's made of crystal?" and was followed by "I wonder how that would look...maybe some sort of transparent bluish crystal, photoshop should be up to the task..." and then "Wow, that'd actually be pretty awesome!"...
It was only upon looking back at this very post that I noticed the extra A. :|

Miscast_Mage...angels and touhou on a single page, and a substantial number of very good images of such of which I have not seen before. Much adoration and frantic right clicking ensued. And Serps wonderful bunch of faeries only contributes to easing my massive wing fixation.

Ok, got a tough request for you guys.

I need images of an elven steampunk techmage, BUT, one that is not enhanced in any way. By that I mean, one that just makes magitech stuff and uses it, but doesn't graft it onto themselves or anyone else. This is a... annoyingly hard image to find, actually.

Examples:
This guy is no good due to implants, but the aesthetic is what I'm shooting for, just less "I AM HALF CYBERNETIC".
