Sorry I took so long, forgot I still needed to declare these.

2xPotion of Faith Healing (Sam Jones, Jr) -100gp
Potion of Resist Energy (Acid) from a Duskblade -50gp
9xSling - 0gp
10 Sling Bullets - 1sp

Reserve the right to react to more purchases from Krunk.

Assuming no more purchases, Goltoth starts in B-11 with a potion in each hand and 10 loaded slings, a flail on his belt, and 2 more potions. Shield is left outside the arena.

Refs:
Potions in hand are Resist Energy (Fire) and (Acid). Potions on belt are Faith Healing

No more purchases. I shall start.

Ah yes, the lovely starting with LOS and LOE Rivers Arena. That right there is why they don't make maps like this anymore.

Just curious how you're still standing between that 13 point KFB and my eagle attack...I don't see rageclaws on your sheet :smallconfused:

Shifter Ferocity does basically the same, but it only works when shifting, and since he could only do so on his turn I think you indeed took him down. Tad anticlimatic, that's Rivers for you

...

Wow I never expected that to make a difference, so I had always treated it as Rageclaws. Last time I fight on Rivers I guess. :smallannoyed:

Good match.

High Ref Sallera

Krunk takes the initiative and the victory.

well, you could have used tents, a carriage or other big objects to block LoE in the beginning to give you some buff time. But it's rather bad that such things are necessary to even get your first turn

Nonsense. We shouldn't have a lot of maps like this, but I like that we have the one. Besides, if you don't like playing on the map, you don't have to. Same way that I'll likely never fight in Clouds again.

Yeah, River's still one of my favourite arenas. The occasional first turn kill doesn't really detract from its appeal.

hustlertwo
2010-09-29, 04:24 PM
I daresay that is part of the appeal, if only because such things are so rare in Arena.

Master_Rahl22
2010-09-29, 06:05 PM
Oh I'm sure such things are part of the appeal, especially for the kind of "let's see if I can cast 9th level spells at character level 1" type arcane casters that occasionally get built. I have no interest in those kinds of characters, hence I'll probably avoid Rivers now.
