Ok, so I'm trying to make a huge sized non-humanoid. According to the SRD this makes his armor cost eight times as much. Does this mean that a mithral breastplate would cost 200x8+4,000 GP (5,600) or would it cost (200+4,000)x8 GP (33,600)?

probably. that would require a lot of mithril.
thankfully enhancements dont multiply up, its just the raw materials.

I think it's the 200x8 +4000 version.

I think the last case. It is a lot of mithril and that is technically part of the armor's cost.
You could try to argue with the DM to double only the non-mithril cost due to having an unusual creature, add that to the mithril cost, then multiply that total by 4 for size.

I just checked the SRD. The prices for mithral armor are straight up +'s: +1000 for light, +4000 for medium, +9000 for heavy. No rules for size categories, therefore it is added on after the size adjustment. 200x8 +4000.
