This is not my Prc. In fact it is very old, I found it at least three or years ago in the now defunct(F-you Wotc!) Prc. PeachOrchard on the old Wotc-D&D forums. I am posting them now because the chicken Master reminds me Just So much of this. I Am also doing my best to make sure that the post its self looks as much like the original as possible.

The Eggplant Master

Preface: I had this in mind before Shavit’s post, and no ideas were inspired by him. For this PrC, anyway. He did give me some ideas he might soon regret… Muahahahahaha!

Preface 2: To Shavit, and Kaelan (Door), and Ahmed, and Shaul, and Waffi, and Ewi… I miss your stupid funny ways, and MY stupid bizzare adventures. I miss people who can’t escape mighty pins, and fireballs to the face, and people who are exploited by grasshoppers, and people who yell “It’s… SOVELISS!” at every second NPC they meet; I miss people that offer emperors Tea with Nana out of a rusted helmet, I miss people who talk with whiny gnomes (“my children, my poor, hungry children!”)… I miss you guys.

Oh, and some of you still owe me money. :smalltongue:

And now… the Eggplant Master

Eggplants are rather large, and deep-purple in hue. Usually considered just an edible (well, sorta edible) vegeteable, some (utterly bizzare) people believe that eggplants, contrery to all existing evidence, are cool.
And so, they learn to use it in surprising ways…

Also, because camels don’t eat Eggplants, and eggplants don’t eat camels, Eggplants Master have unique and marvelous powers with camels. Indeed, not a few murderous trolls or goblins looked with contempt at an Eggplant Master, armed with many an eggplant and nothing else, when a camel appeared and changed the picture completely…

Skills: An Eggplant Master gains 4 skill points per level, plus Int mod.
Bluff (“Eggplants are cool! Really!”), Climb (“My, that’s a BIG eggplant!”), Craft, Handle Animal, Heal (to undo the damages of the eggplants), Intimidate (“I have an eggplant and I am not afraid to use it!”), Knowledge (Nature), Profession, Ride, Survival.

Eggplant Proficiency: Eggplants are big and hard. Which means they hurt. In the hands of an Eggplant Master, eggplants deal 1d6 (1d4 if small) bludgeoning damage per succesful strike, x3 if a crit, and are One Handed.

Throw Eggplant: At 2nd level, the Eggplant Master may throw his eggplants. They have range increment of 10 ft and deal same damage as per Eggplant Proficiency.

Eggplant Shape: Once per day per level of this PrC, the Eggplant Master may assume the shape of an eggplant. This may be enhanced with further powers of this PrC; see below. As an eggplant, he is smaller than tiny (smaller than a cat), can’t move nor talk nor, infact, do anything except see (30 ft away, with darkvision 30 ft), hear (like a human), and feel (things that touch the eggplant).

Camel: The Eggplant Master may reach into his breastpocket and take out his pet camel, which he can ride for 2 hours per level of this PrC. This works just like the spell Mount, only with a camel, and the Eggplant Master’s caster level equall his levels in this PrC.

Animate Eggplant: The Eggplant Master may choose a single regular Eggplant (or himself, when in Eggplant Shape). The Eggplant may now move with a speed of 10 ft. He may animate one eggplant per level per day, for up to one round per level each. Animating an eggplant takes a Standard Action.

3ggl>14n7z r t3h ROXXORZ! (=Eggplants are teh roxxorz! =Eggplants rock) Any Eggplant the Eggplant Master use is considered a Magical weapon at forth level. At 8, he may add one other ability to it (silver, fire, good, and so on). This ability, once chosen, never changes and applies to all eggplants used as weapons, and only while used as weapons by the Eggplant Master.

Eggplants For Ever: Any and all Eggplants on the Eggplant Master’s person do not decay.

Dire Eggplant: Once per day per three levels, an Eggplant Master may use his Animate Eggplant power to animate a Dire eggplant. Dire Eggplants have the same statistics as a Dire Ape, only instead of claws they use them leaves they got on top.
If the Eggplant Master wishes, he may trasform himself into a Dire Eggplant- this costs him one use of this ability and one use of the Eggplant Shape ability. All uses of this ability take a Standard Action.

Summon Camel*: While this is called “Summon”, it is in fact a calling effect. This ability allows the Eggplant Master to use his affinity with camels to hurt his enemies. Despite the fact camels spit, bite and kick, Eggplants Masters found a better way to use them to hurt their enemies.
Once per day, an Eggplant Master can call a camel. The camel appears above the head of a single target. The target must be within close range of the Eggplant Master, and the camel materializes 10ft. above the target for each level of, "Eggplant Master," the summoner has taken(60ft. at 6th level 70ft. at 7th., level, ect.). Once a target is chosen a camel proceeds to promptly fall on the unfortunate individual. This deals falling damage (1d6/10ft.) to both camel and target (target may make a Ref save for half). If there isn’t enough room for the camel, he falls a shorter distance, but deals the same amount of damage because, in such cases, this power simply Calls a fatter camel. There must be at least 20ft. of empty space above a target or else an Eggplant Master can not use this ability on it.

Sabich: Using nothing else but two medium sized Eggplants (or one large one), the Eggplant Master may attempt to create some Sabich (kind of Eggplant salad). This attempt takes a full half an hour and the Eggplant Master must make a Profession (Cook) check DC 20. Faliure (if not below 10) indicates he has Sabich, though ordinery one. 20 or above indicates that anyone eating from this Sabich (it serves three) is cured of all diseases and poisons. 30 or more indicates that the Sabich also heals 1d6\lvl in this PrC. He may create one Sabich per day.
Sabich may be kept for up to three days, but then it goes all icky.

Camel In Predicament: Once per day, in addition to usual Summon Camel, the Eggplant Master may call a camel who is already doomed, and so his death wouldn’t cahnge much. Roll a 1d6 to see from which predicament the camel was taken:

1: This camel, if due to a young red’s breath weapon, a poorly aimed Fireball or a thrown lantern, has cought on fire. In addition to regular camel damage, it deals 5d6 fire damage.

2: This camel, if due to stupid driver, unsafe footholds or a trigger-happy mage’s Grease spell, was falling rapidly. His speed is far higher than one would expect. Ergo, it hits harder. It deals 5d6 points of extra falling damage.

3: If because of a white dragon, a bizzare camel-targeting cold-mage, or simply a trip to the tundra, this camel is frozen. Thus, when he hits his target he shatters, peppering the surrounding 10 ft with frozen camel shards. This deals 3d6 points of damage to anyone (but the target) 10 ft (or less) away from the target.

4: Someone didn’t look exactly what he gave this camel as feed. The camel has a dreadful case of gases, and passes a spectacular wind when it hits his target. Treat this like a Stinking Cloud spell cast by a 5th level Wizard, whose point of origin is the camel’s body.

5: Someone really liked this camel, and fed him. A lot. This camel is less a camel and more a hunch-backed hippo. When he falls, he deals 3d6 points of mass damage to his target. Worse yet, the target is buried under it’s insane girth, and has to succed in an Escape Artist check (DC 20) to get out of this uncomfy situation. Until he succeds (or someone else takes the camel off- Str check DC 30, or Str check DC 18 to give the poor mate a +5 to his check to Escape, if it occurs within one round of the Str check). (And in case you wondered- the camel’s predicament is his high cholesterol).

6: (4me1 10r<l!11shiftonelols! (=Camel Lord!) This is a Camel Lord- he takes no damage from the fall, and fights his target to the death. If the target dies, he is a regular camel in all respects, and can be used for anything you could use a regular camel for.

Shaul, Eggplant Master of D00M!: The Eggplant Master have reached the pineacle of Eggplant Mastery he may animate one more Dire Eggplant per day, his Dire Eggplants fight like Dire Boars, he may create one more Sabich per day, Summon an extra camel, AND he may Create one eggplant per day. Also, any eggplant he uses as a weapon is now a +3 weapon.

Ph34r!

This PrC is dedicated to Shaul.

So, is this balanced?

*Re-poster's notes:

1.) When actually playing a character with this Prc. Profession(farmer) could and should probably be substituted for Profession(Eggplant Grower) skill listed in the Requirements section of the listing.
2.) When originally posted in the Wotc, Prc, Peach Orchard the Eggplant Master's Summon Camel class ability was listed as follows:

Summon Camel: While this is called “Summon”, it is in fact a calling effect. This ability allows the Eggplant Master to use his affinity with camels to hurt his enemies. Despite the fact camels spit, bite and kick, Eggplants Masters found a better way to use them to hurt their enemies.
Once per day, an Eggplant Master can call a camel. The camel appears 10 ft*lvls in this PrC above the head of the target (who must be at close range for the Eggplant Master), and proceeds to promptly fall on the poor target. This does 1d6 per lvl of the Eggplant Master to both camel and target (target may make a Ref save for half). If there isn’t enough room for the camel, he falls a shorter distance (min 20 ft, though), but deals the same damage because, in such cases, this power simply Calls fatter camels.

3.) All of the O.P.'s spelling and/or grammar errors were left as they were originally posted for posterity's sake.

I loled that's as simple as it gets, but it seems usable if whoever you're playing with doesn't care.

Sabich should give a moral bonus.
I'd go with anything cooked with eggplant personally.

I am glad you both like it, and I might agree about the sabitch, It couldn't hurt in any case, especially considering that this PrC might be slightly underpowered form the get-go. I am not sure how I feel about editing the PrC, though because it was not mine to begin with. I am mealy re-posting it.

What is the board's opinion on this?

From what I see, it is unclear what exactly an animated eggplant's stats are aside from the movement speed, how many hp the Eggplant Master has while in eggplant form (if it changes at all) nor his AC, and how high the magical bonus from 3ggl>14n7z r t3h ROXXORZ! may be (speed eggplants?).

Also, obligatory link (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167862) to the Chicken Master you mentioned (and in whose thread you linked to this one). :smallwink:

this is actually a goodpoint, I think that at one point it actually used to say that the animated eggplants fought like apes, but as it is writen nowI would just follow the rules for animated objects, since the o.p. said that the eggplants are smaller than small, use the rules for animated fine objects. As for "eggplant shape I think it would work like treeshape, so, no additional hp.
