Ahoy Mateys! I had an idea that a pirate, well privateer, campaign would be super spiffy. For that, I need rules for ship to ship combat, boarding actions, and (hopefully) cannon and other weapons of the high seas.
What books would have such., oh Playground? Any homebrew that has been played and found worthy is also acceptable.

I think Stormwrack has some good stuff on nautical vessel combat...

Stormwrack is obvious.
... and that's about it.

There aren't really any other helpful books out there.

I'm a DM so if I were to make rules they would be simple, so I would have to do less work.

I would just treat the boat as a creature and give it HP.

-3/4 health the captain or crew have to make sailors checks to keep the boat afloat.
-same at 1/2 except the checks are harder.
-same at 1/4.
-0 hp the ship is so broken there is no way to sail it.

If a check fails, the boat starts to sink in a number of rounds depending on how big it is.

Another good book to get would be Swashbuckling Adventures. More specifically the book "Ships and Sea Battles" if you are just wanting a compendium on boats.
