An epic level bard can take Improved Spellcasting until he has 9th level spells, then take Epic Spellcasting. Does the psychic warrior have a similar recourse to get access to the psionic variant of Epic Spellcasting (or is that simply not possible without 20+ levels in some other class)?

I don't think there is a psionic equivalent to Epic Spellcasting, but psychic warriors can take Improved Manifestation just like psions can.

there is: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/psionicPowers.htm

But as a Psychic warrior you must be able to manifest a 9th level power and I donīt know about anything that would allow a psychic warrior that, the psychic warrior powerlist stops at 6 and the feat that grants you excess to other powers is max powerlevel -1.
Even the epic psychic warrior only gets +1 power to each powerlevel known...

/edit maybe some alternative classfeatures grant another list with 9th level powers and a progression to that? duno

There's an ACF that adds higher level powers to your list, but it doesn't give you any means to learn powers beyond your class maximums (even if they get added to your power list).

Maybe try and make it mirror the way bards, paladins, and so on get epic spells?

Something like "Must take the Improved Manifestation feat once for every level below 9th the maximum level of power you can manifest is".

Just spitballin' but what about a 1 level Ardent dip? There powers are based on ML instead of character level, IIRC.

Wouldn't help. Your Ardent ML, which is used to determine the max level power an ardent can manifest, would still only be 1.

Hm... are there metapsionic feats that raise the effective level of a power? If so you could do something like the Sanctum Spell/ Krau Sigil/ etc. tricks to raise its effective level until you have powers that count as 9th level.

No, there's no equivalent to heighten power other than a power's built in augmentation, which doesn't actually raise the power's level. (This is frequently addressed during comparisons of arcane magic vs. psionics - the latter has a bit more trouble getting around globes of invulnerability.)

I brought this up at brilliantgameologists as well, and it would seem the only viable solution would be to an in-house conversion of another feat originally meant for spells. Heighten Power (not a bad idea, btw) would actually meet the requirement in one shot, since you can augment up to your manifester level, and anyone who's got 17+ manifester levels can manifest something equivalent to 9th level powers.

(Conversely, the game balance of such a feat, allowing the psychic warrior to get epic seeds with two feats whereas a bard needs four, would be rather questionable.)

Game balance at Epic Levels is questionable in the first place. More so than at normal levels, anyway. I say go for it. If you can convince your DM to allow the homebrew conversion, more power to you.
