I want to play a mad (read: crazy) gray jester (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7988336&postcount=92) 4/warblade 7//invoker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153863) 11 for a gestalt monster game. I'm thinking of a darker, more maniacal Fool from King Lear as an inspiration. I may have him talk in rhyming couplets, or even limericks. I'm looking for suggestions for items an insane character would use, and perhaps some mannerism suggestions if you have them. I'm not looking for the most optimized items, rather the most flavorful, but items that cast hideous laughter or do charisma drain/damage would definitely be alright. Thanks to any and all suggestions!

Have at least one item that can use Prestidigitation.

That's a good plan. Wasn't there a necklace that allowed unlimited at-will uses of prestidigitation floating around somewhere in the splat books?

I wish! But no. You can get unseen servant at will with a Collar of Perpetual Attendance (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fools/20030401c).

In Champions of Valor (p. 64), there's a Faith Token that allows you to cast prestidigitation twice per day, but you have to worship Garl Glittergold.

Yeah, I knew about the collar, I love that item. I'll look more into prestidigitaion tonight.

Any ideas for items that go well with insane characters?

Obligatory plug for Shax's Haversack (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148101). Plenty of whimsical toys to be found in there. The mayhem you can do with just Chaos Flasks or Shapesand is substantial.

lol, Shax's havarsack is how I normally go about equipping all of my characters. So versatile, so many options.
