Hello, playground.
So, I have a player wanting a 'fire fairy' for my game.
Does anyone know of any LA+0 fey (I just know the kiloren)? Or of any fire-related fey with a listed LA?

Domovoi, Frostburn pg. 122. Small Fey (Fire). LA +2, 2 RHD. Produce Flame and Pyrotechnics at will; Flaming Sphere 3/day. +2 Natural armor, +2 Racial to Escape Artist & Grapple. Low-light Vision. And some fairly awesome stat modifiers: +4 Dex, Int; +6 Wis, Cha; +2 Con; -2 Str.

Hm, looks good. I'll show this to her. Thanks.

If you're not building a druid then include either the drow race or half-fey template for the faerie fire SLA. Just because. EDIT: Darn, the above race is already fey. But technically the template doesn't say you can't apply it to a fey for a "half-fey, other half also fey" situation :smalltongue:

Both are LA+2, so kinda hard.

Darn, there's always UMD or a dip. The race and template aren't bad, though, but only if they fit the character concept.

I agree, I agree.
A wand would be optimal.

You could refluff a killoren, feytouched or half-fey sorcerer (or warmage, pyrokineticist, or whatever) as a fire fey.

There are a few other LA +0 fey other than killoren.

Jermlaine, MM2. Stats make them unsuitable for anything except a Wis-based caster, although a fire-based druid is doable.
Faun, Deities & Demigods. +2 Dex, -2 Wis, -2 Cha. Bleh.
Duskling, Magic of Incarnum. A totemist with a few fire-based soulmelds would probably work very well, although trying to explain the whole Incarnum system to a new player

There's also the Fire Mephling in the Planar Handbook... LA +1, but if you want fire, well, boy-howdy.

In Unearthed Arcana/SRD, there's traits for "Races of Fire". Stats for fire elves and fire hobgoblins are the only ones given, but the traits could be applied to any base class without much impact on LA.

Well that's not true, exactly. I have a Jermlaine Swordsage in my RL campaign.

I thought they were outsiders.
But kiloren of fire might work. Thanks.

Impossible at level 1, but thanks for the suggestion.
