for me it would be a 1970-73 chevy vega wagon. After after 73 they changed the front end and I dont like the new fronts. They were good little cars that were easily adaptable and many people changed them for racing, new bigger engines ect. My father has owned a 73 vega wagon since January of 1975. Love that car, very simple, easy to work on. Much like me.

If you want more of a personality to car I would probably be a 80's chevy s10 pickup 4x4 with the 4.3l v6. Little old and beat up, not that great to look at, but reliable for anything.

Depends heavily on the car -- our old 2002 Kia Rio died as soon as the warranty ran out. Gave us hell for a few years before my mom bought a new car.

Knowing my car, I think I might be able to get five or so more years out of it, but it's a miracle that it managed to pass safety inspection this year (albeit with some repairs).
