Hi, Just bought this game for a friend and need some clarification:

1. Belkar has the ability to do +1 Wound to other players with his Daggers of Doom IF the card is "boosted". He now gains the schtick Leaping Attack which gives him +1 attack and +1 range with his Daggers of Doom. Does this also activate the boost on the Daggers of Doom card thus giving him the ability to wound players for +1 wound. Or is the only way he can get that +1 to wound boost is if he has an exact duplicate of that card. The only examples given are with duplicate cards, not other types/sources of boost.

2. More on the above. If Belkar has one Daggers of Doom and 3 Leaping Attack cards what is he getting:
* +3 boost to attack/range (+1/Leaping card) AND +3 wounds to players? Rules say that boost cards can boost a card multiple times so does he get +1 wound PVP for ANY type of boost card laid on the original card?
* +3 boost to attack/range BUT ONLY +1 wound to players (since the +1 wound is only on his main dagger card it only gets boosted once by a "different" type of card that boosts The Dagger card but would get boosted multiple times if he had a duplicate Dagger card.
* +3 boost to attack/range AND NO extra wound to players - this implies the only way that Belkar gets the PVP +1 wound boost is if he has an exact duplicate of that card and other types of boost cards (like the leaping attack) only boost the specific items they state and do not count as activating his main schtick boost.

3. on Fireball, this is an Area of Effect spell with an area of 2 monsters and a range of up to 4 rooms. It is not something like a bow/arrow which can be shot at range and hit only 1 target. So....If Vaarsuvius is standing in a room by herself the next room has 1 monster, the room after that is empty and the room after that has 1 monster...can she throw a Fireball to the furthest range and get the closer monster as well in order to meet her limit of 2? Or does Fireball only work in 1 single room only. This is open to interpretation as the Area is given in "monsters" and traps also work out to multi-room range as well. Obviously all other rules would apply normally so if the first room in the above example had 2 monsters in it, she could not get the top one in that room, skip the bottom one and also skim the monster from the last room. figure this is probably a "no" but have to check.

Thanks!

Hi, wonder people are still getting this game!

You only activate the boost with the same card name or loot that boosts it. Leaping attack gives a different kind of bonus (and pretty good one!)

2. More on the above. If Belkar has one Daggers of Doom and 3 Leaping Attack cards what is he getting:
* +3 boost to attack/range AND NO extra wound to players - this implies the only way that Belkar gets the PVP +1 wound boost is if he has an exact duplicate of that card and other types of boost cards (like the leaping attack) only boost the specific items they state and do not count as activating his main schtick boost.
Correct interpretation. Leaping attack only gives the boost it has written on it.
