OK, so last game my lawful evil dragonfire adept ran afoul of a dragonborn paladin that was 5 lvls higher then he was alone. Long story short I need a new character.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever played the Master of Masks PRC as I'm looking at writing up a bard going into it.

I have a character that the DM allowed to take Master of Masks as a base class. She's kind of half-NPC, though, so that's why.

Anyway, Master of Masks is basically being able to do a ton of things, but none of them super-duper well. Kind of like Chameleon. I think. Some of the abilities from masks are great, though. Also, if you're going Bard, it better not be spell-focused. Their spell progression is sorely lacking.

Well it goes without saying that I’ll be taking the practiced spellcaster feat so I’ll be a 14th level bard (10 levels of bard by 20th level) casting at level 18. I also think that the Mask of the Archmage does something to help my spells out as well.

I’ll give you all the back story for this character when I get him. I'm thinking of going human, changeling, or elf for my races as they all seem to fit what I want to do.

think i'm going to go changling beguiler 10/ master of masks 10 and play up the spy/assassin roles.

...just my 2 cents: if you want to play up on the versatility aspect of MoM, you could try Bard 2/Binder 3/Mom 10/Binder 5...

If I'd been reading the Iron Chef threads back then, that's what I would have submitted...:smalltongue:
