I am about to DM my first game (starting Sunday) and I need to know what are the best downloadable tools or best sites to visit to help make my job easier...

A monster creator stat block generator would really help actually...

Can anyone point me in the direction of tools such as these?

I smile  (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcgen/) :smallconfused: (http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tools/d20encountercalculator.htm) (http://www.monsteradvancer.com/)

EDIT: Maybe I should point out that each smiley is a link, just a thought... :smallwink: (http://www.rptools.net/index.php?page=community)

If it's 4E then you have things like Character Builder and Adventure Tools at your disposal, but you need to pay for them.

Monster monograph from here (http://www.superdan.net/dnd3.html) is the OGL monsters in very nice statblock form, if that makes it easier

Kaww's already given you a link to penpaperpixel which is a very useful site

Finally: donjon (http://donjon.bin.sh/) which can be frustrating but has a few useful things!

The encounter calculator is particularly useful, and I hope this helps you. Remember, a fight with several lower-power creatures is more difficult than one big bad.

What's the campaign theme, story, etc.?

Is me laughing unclear in any manner?
Also FyreByrd mentioned it as well...
