Time to end this in an incredibly over-the-top manner!
I Sacrifice my Legionnaire to summon Alector, Sovereign of Birds, I then use my Draogn Control Technique to equip him with Dragunity Phalanx, who promptly summons itself. The two monsters then tune to form the strongest monster I have: Dragunity Knight - Barcha (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dragunity_Knight_-_Barcha), who equips himself with both my Phalanxes and a Darkspear, who power him up. He is also empowered by the Dragon Control Technique, rasing him to 3400 Attack Points.
A huge dragon rears up, ridden by an equally ferocious rider.
Barcha then destroys Dark Simorgh, doing enough damage to win the duel!

((Good game! That Bottomless Trap Hole at the very start turned the whole affair around - if Shura had succeeded, I would have synchro summoned Brionac, discarded Mist Valley Baby Roc to bounce something, getting Baby Roc so I could synchro summon Stardust, then removed Mistral and Soldier so I could summon Dark Simorgh, then activated Future Visions, then Anti-Spell Fragrance, thus causing a rather complete lockdown.))
