I was thinking about Optimised characters and found this. quite obviously, this makes a good example of the power difference between well-built and poorly-built characters

And the point is?
Posting a youtube link in a thread is pretty much the best way to ensure I won't bother watching the video.
It will not, however, prevent me from posting in the thread if I am bored enough.

Psh. The difference between optimized and unoptimized is the difference between Emma and the dead Guard. Optimized guy survives and can land hits; unoptimized one busts his first saving throw. Conqueror is the BBEG and he's screwing the rules.

Ok then, this one but skip ahead to the middle:

I was discussing with some friends how these could all be represented as E6 characters (I'm Nate, Joe is horrible at optimizing):
Joe: "It's a 6th level character versus a 4th level character."
Jimmie: "No, they're both 6th level, it's a character you built versus a character Nate built!"

I don't see why Achilles and Hector would be the same level.

Achilles was also a templated beast of a man. With like, DR.

DR 9001/heel ?????
Which would mean that only heels get through his DR. I don't think that some guy got up and beat him with his heel...

Damage immunity except on critical hits, and an inability to get fortification.

Meh thats the closest i could get, theres no realy mechanic for hit location specific damage reduction like that in D&D.
