Especially divine, but what casting classes are there aside from wizard that use INT? Just wondering.

Well, there is the Psion class or other related Psionic classes, but that is not really "casting." Also I just learned about the Archivist which is in the Heroes of Horrors book. He is mostly an Int caster. Int decides DCs and if you can cast a particular level, but Wis determines your bonus spells. He learns spells just like a wizard, but uses the cleric spell list.

There is also a feat that can change your primary casting stat to Int, but I forget the exact name. It is from a Dragonlance book.

Archivists (HoH) are Divine Casters that use INT as a casting stat. They do use Wisdom for bonus spells, though.

Duskblades are arcane spontaneous INT-based casters.

Factotums can cast "spells" as SLAs and have healing powers, but I don't know if they count as spellcasters.

Add to Arcane: Death Master.

Add to Weird: Factotum and Savant.

Add to Psionic: Psychic Rogue, Lurk, Marksman.

Any divine caster can also take Academic Priest (from Legend of the Twins) to change their spell casting stat to INT. Save DC's aren't affected, though, so you're still tied to WIS or even CHA for that.

There's a companion feat in the same book, Dynamic Priest, which changes spellcasting to CHA instead. Spirit Shamans in particular benefit from this, as they start out WIS for spells but CHA for save DC's, and the feat drops WIS altogether.

Yep that was the feat I was trying to remember. You can do the same with Archivist. You can be an Archivist and take Academic Priest and Int would be used for everything.

The spells they add to their prayerbook from levels have to come from the cleric list, though.

There's also the hilariously ill thought out Lost Tradition feat from the 3rd party Bastards & Bloodlines: make ANY stat your primary casting stat. Even STR, DEX or CON. :smalltongue:

And good flavor synergy with the various types of Ilumian that make that stat the basis for bonus spells.

That's utterly fantastic.
Set Str as your primary casting stat

War Hulk, do you mean? Hulking Hurler is great for abusing a STR score but doesn't give you a better one.

Can goliaths/half-giants become war hulks or does one have to eat RHD+LA to get into the class?

Because otherwise, it's just... not gonna work. Wait, doesn't half-ogre or half-minotaur increase one's size to large on a medium base creature? So that'd be LA+1 + caster levels + war hulk. Nifty if you want nasty DC'd 1st or 2nd level spells, I guess.

Exactly...even without Lost Tradition, Illumian + Cancer Mage + Festering Rage = ni bonus spells (ni STR).
