The darkness collapses and air snaps back into the space that had been vacant, blasting dirt from the grave.

She opens it and loads the single chamber with a small flask; she stands over Din's body and fires. It dissipates to mist on contact.

She frowns, not quite wanting to anger the rising deity but still wanting his or her attention.

And in a place visible from the church, she sets up a pole about half the height and the same girth of a telephone pole. On it she hangs a large whitegold spur, then puts a platform about six feet in diameter on top of it, with an umbrella sprouting from the center to keep the snow off.
And there she sits.
