What exactly are the rules on this? We're not allowed to immortalize, I understand, but are we still allowed to use their material and stuff? Do we have to go ask for permission from the staff before we use any homebrew?

As long as you don't say "Oh wasn't XXX amazing, it's such a shame they got banned" or start new threads about it or something to that effect then it should be fine. You're using it for the resource, not the creator.

If you're just going to use it in a game, or talk about it, then I don't see how there would be a problem (unless you start talking about the poster).

If you want to crosspost the material to another forum or a wiki, or repost it in a new thread, then you'd have more of a problem because you'd need their permission first, so you'd have to find a way to contact them off-site.

Sheriff of Moddingham: Pretty much this. Using it is not a problem, and discussing it is not a problem as long as you discuss the material not the person.
