I'm trying to make a character based on a minion master. Basically this guy is a dwarf (or warforged, haven't decided) who is a master at creating golems of various types for combat. The level is 27 so I was hoping anyone could help me with classes that would work best for this character.

Straight Artificer would work.
Well, gay artificer would work as well.
You could just swing both ways. *drumstunt*

D&D 3.5 thanks for reminding me to put it up on the title.

Well then, artificer is a nifty one, but a Shaper/Constructor (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040625b) or a wizard/effigy master should fit the bill, too.

I would suggest a Warforged Artificer who uses the replacement levels and grabs the Craft Construct feat. Arfiticers normally only get Craft Homonculus which is good, but won't allow the creation of non-homonculus construcst that you might be interested in.

If you were a human I would suggest the Heir of Siberys prc.

There are other feats from the Eberron books which allow improved constructs or homonculi that might interest you.

Um well, for all the classes you recommended, could you site and possible link to where I can look them up please? I'm not very familiar with some of the classes outside of the SRD. ^^;

Artificers are from the Eberron Campaign Setting.
