You all wake up in a cave, the only source of light is a torch hanging on the wall next to a wooden door.
You can hear water running down the cave wall on the opposide of the cave than the door.

When you look around you recognise the other people, you have had a dream about them, and the more you think about it the more you like to work with them... To raise your own name.

You have no idea why and how you got here, you just know you need to do something evil.

Everyone

I'm sorry for the bad intro, but I lost all my notes.

"How I loathe being corporeal," the fiend noted, his dark eyes gazing across those who were before him. How he ended up here of all places was confusing, and beyond his current understanding.

These people - they were allies, some how, he knew that - but why?

"Everyone," he said simply, "I will be establishing a mind-link with at least one of you, and then I am doing some scouting."

Iun

A huge figure, something between an ogre and a deformed orc, jumps up from the ground and grabs a ridiculously long spear from the ground in one fluid motion. His only other weapon is a thick bow on his back and he is completely unarmored; the simple garments he is wearing offer little protection.

"Does anyone know where we are or how we got here?"

The creature's pronunciation is impeccable, almost artificially so, but every word seems carefully chosen one by one so that the flow of his speech is broken at several points.

Hearing the unidentified voice, Kirtok stirs. Unfurling his wings slowly and carefully, he sees the intimidating forms of the creatures before him and vanishes in a black glimmer. He is certain they will be of use to him, but for now there is no reason to draw their attention.

Kheldar Onysu shakes his head groggily.
Where am I? And who are these rubes?
He stands up, accessing the situation. It seems everyone else has arrived by the same means as he. Taking charge of this situation might be advantageous.

"Gentlebeings, greetings to all. If anyone can point to who brought us here, that would be splendid. I'm sure we all have questions for him."

As you open the door, you are dazzled by the sunlight, after you have regained your vision you see that you are in a forest, maybe on a mountain, a river floads from up hill and down next to the cave, turning left around it and past you.
The only way you can go from here is to the left, the river blocks all other ways, and the mountain seems very unsafe to climb.

Stretching his wings, Kirtok invisibly flies upward and perches on the top of the nearest tall tree, trying to find any familiar landmarks.

Kirtok.

You see that the forest spreads far in every way, but you also spot a little village at the bottom of the mountain.

Edit:
Whats ur flight speed and manuverability?.

megabyter5

30 ft. flight speed, average maneuverability, but only 1 round of flight at a time. 30 ft. glide speed, too.

Kheldar sighs.
Why am I always surrounded by imbeciles?

He turns to the fiend who at least seemed like he was capable of reasonable communication.

"You might as well link with me friend. What do you call yourself?"

Obrysii
2010-11-15, 07:30 AM
"I assume you, I am not an imbecile," Xandar Vicious said, shifting out - in the sun his mortal frame looked exceedingly weak - "One moment - I mush shed this body and take on a more useful form."

"With everyone's consent I shall mindlink with you, so as to keep communication up."

If they consent, he begins to weave his supernatural power.

He looked to the ogre, looking for any weapon - and once he found one, he would 'pop' - shifting into an ethereal form, pushing his essence into the weapon, and granting it additional magic, based on what it had prior.

As Xandar is lawful, he'll grant the weapon that the half-ogre has, assuming he has one, +4 worth of different powers.

Iun
2010-11-15, 08:03 AM
The half-ogre thinks for a moment (a rather strange sight) before he answers.

"If you must."

When Xandar disappears and his spear somehow seems different, he asks over the mindlink, >where are you? What have you done to my weapon?<

The spear is a shock spear +1, so will it gain more abilities until it is a +4 weapon or will it gain abilities for a total of +4 and become a +6 weapon?
And who chooses the enhancements, you or me?

Obrysii
2010-11-15, 08:19 AM
Xandar attempts to manifest mindlink on the half-ogre, and if it is successful, speaks into his mind: "I am a fiend of possession - and I am communicating telepathically; I can enhance your weapon to the fullest of my abilities - enhancements to its power. In order to foster friendship, how might you like it enhanced?"

It adds +4 - either I can make it a +5 shocking spear or give it other abilities, like firey or whatever, up to a +4 bonus in total. So it can become a +1 shocking firey spear of returning, or whatever, or a +5 shocking spear. It's up to you what happens but the total extra bonuses I can apply is limited to +4 altogether.

Iun
2010-11-15, 08:27 AM
>Make it stronger. And sharper.<

Let's make it a keen shock spear +4. A simple choice for a simple creature.

Obrysii
2010-11-15, 10:01 AM
The edge of the blade seemed to sharpen, glinting with greater potency.

"It is done. So long as I reside within it it shall be difficult to harm me - and I shall make it stronger; however, when necessary I will need to leave your blade, at which point it shall return to normal."

Xandar Vicious - prone to helping those with his lawful nature, sought only his own personal power; specifically, at present he wanted to find a source of adamantine - such a source, forged into a statue, would give him a potent body to possess.

Iun
2010-11-15, 10:22 AM
"Let us see, then. Krchdar."

As the strange-sounding word is uttered with far less difficulty than any other the creature has spoken so far, several bolts of electricity begin playing around the bone spear.

Satisfied with the effect, he attacks the nearest tree at three points, each blow as fast as lightning, and even more powerful.

Syke

You hear a voice, whispering "Does a tree make a sound when falling, and there is no one around to listen?, Take care or the woods will be your enemy.."

You also spot something moving in between the trees, about 50ft further down next to the river.

"After that. Somebody said something, like this:'Does a tree make a sound when falling, and there is no one around to listen?, Take care or the woods will be your enemy..'"

Strangely, Sykes' voice imitation has a better flow of speech than his normal talk.

Obrysii
2010-11-15, 01:05 PM
Antigamer, correct. That is standard English tendency. I use quotations AND italics to represent speech in a mindlink.

Good - that should demonstrate my usefulness to the group - in at least the power to enhance this weapon; my true abilities are not yet revealed the demon thought to himself - smiling inwardly.

"I should think we need to find a way to disguise any sense of inhumanness within the group - and head into the village to determine where we are," he called to the group through his mindlink.

Iun

Sykes looks in the general direction of the sounds coming from the descending Kirtok before the ogre's left hand reaches toward his own face as he starts walking along the only path possible.

"You all seem rather useless to me at the moment."

>Except for you, maybe<, he adds towards the one possessing his weapon through the mindlink.

"But for some reason I feel one of you might be the one I have been searching for."

>And how do you suppose we disguise someone of my size as a human?<

He gives you a mug o' ale "It will be 2 copper pieces, please"

Kheldar laughs, takes a pull, and sets the mug down.
"Which way did your disappearing girl and her guardians go?"

It was during this conversation that Xandar manifested his mindlink with his companions, saying with a cold mental voice, "Why do we care about some child and her guardians? It seems a waste of my considerable person to spend time on a trivial pursuit."

The Antigamer
2010-12-03, 07:12 PM
"And do you have any other ideas spear? I figure whatever happened to them is more interesting than this dump."

Iun
2010-12-04, 04:06 PM
"Are there other settlements in the area? Is their any mayor, sheriff, or any other type of government at all here?"

Sykes' brows have been furrowed for a few minutes, and now you know why; it seems to have cost him quite a bit of concentration to get these two questions out.

"As the path to a larger city-state, a place where we can find real power - a place where we can buy real influence," the spear sneered into the minds of those nearest him. "I do not think we should waste our time in a loathsome little village."

The Antigamer
2010-12-05, 06:11 PM
"Weren't you listening? These imbeciles arrived the same way we did, they have no idea where they are."

"I'm sorry to tell you that I do not know that, since I've got transportet here 10 days ago" He answers Syke.

The Antigamer
2010-12-06, 05:15 AM
"See, what did I tell you?"

"And the direction of the missing persons, goodman?"

Iun

>Please ask him what his exact plans are. I hope he does not simply want to play hero,< Sykes requests of the one possessing his spear.

"They went the opposite way of the mountain, they said that they would walk the ground around the village, but that they no matter what would come back after 5 days.."

The Antigamer
2010-12-07, 01:18 PM
"Off we go then! I'm sure we'll find them safe and healthy. Come along troupe!"
With that, he swirls his cloak, and exits the building, taking the mug with him, headed in the direction opposite the mountain.

Once outside, Sykes voices his doubts out loud:

"Why would you help some strangers too weak to survive in the wilderness. And why should I help you?"

The Antigamer
2010-12-07, 01:40 PM
Kheldar sighs.
"Always give the impression that your intent is more honorable than it actually is. That way, if it just so happens that you are able to fufill what you said you would, while completing what you meant to do, you have an easy cover, and a possible reward. I'm not after the kid, fool. I'm after whatever held them up. And if you want answers, you'd better come with me. The reason we're here is not in some abandoned town, but out there, most likely protecting itself from intruders."

Iun

Sykes nods, apparently very satisfied and even a bit impressed with that answer.

"Very well, I will follow you."

Kirtok appears from the shadows, gives a quick nod to the bartender, and begins walking to the exit. As quickly as he appeared, he is gone, vanishing just before leaving the building.

Xandar said nothing - as befitting his position as a field of possession, he was good with simply existing, waiting to act when the moment was right.

As the spear of their front-line warrior, he was carried along with the group - waiting, biding his time. He had acted a bit foolish, and perhaps was ashamed of that; but he was glad to be leaving the town - even if it was on a fool's errand, it was still a potential means to acquire more power.

You leave the city and moves out to an open field, (I take it your following the road?), the road divides and heads in two directions, one seems to end up in a forest far ahead and the other one seems to go around the village and back to the mountain.

The Antigamer
2010-12-09, 03:14 AM
Kheldar discards his now-empty ale mug on the side of the trail, and continues on towards the forest.

Sykes follows, eyes and ears open for anything like the monster they encountered earlier.

After a few hours, you now find yourselves at the entrance to the forest, the darkness inside seems almost unreal.

This assumes the darkness is not magical. If it is magical darkness, ignore the rest of this post.
"If any of you have trouble seeing the trees", Kirtok says, "I suggest you stay behind. I don't want any dead weight tagging along."

The Antigamer

Kheldar gives a little half-wave flick of the wrist to the voice, and enters the forest.

As soon as you enter the forest everything goes black..
You can see nothing, not even the free fields outside, every step, every sound you make sounds extrodinary high.
But you can't hear anything else than what sounds you make.

Once again, is this or is this not magical darkness? If it is nonmagical, Kirtok can see perfectly fine.

I ignored your post as you said I should if it was magical darkness, and truely yes it is magical darkness.

"It seems to be a magical darkness - I am accustomed to this, and unless it is greater than it appears, those of us with the ability to see in the blackness should be fine - such as myself," Xandar said - again focusing his visual capacities in all directions.

Too bad, I wanted to see how cool a weapon I'd get to wield. That and the whole calm monk / crazed berserker mix.
