As you finally, with the knowledge you have gained today, fitfully fall asleep...

You bolt awake, fearfully... knowing you dreamed of the changling Empress and then realize nothing bad has happened to you. The dreamweaver didn't find me... you think as a stone-cold voice whispers in your ear. "You know the mistresses secrets. Now you die..." The snick of a blade being drawn behind you catapults you into action.

Blackblood

You know that the thing you fear the most is that the one man you have every truly trusted would betray you. As you leap from out of bed, you turn and stare in shock and dismay as Malcolm evilly grins at you.

Malcolm laughs maniacally and with each laugh the very walls shake - as if in a massive earthquake - and crumble away into dust. The ceiling above begins to drop on you both, but fades away into nothing before it reaches you.

You find yourself on a windswept mesa. You, your bed, and the Betrayer the only inhabitants. The noon-day sun burns relentlessly in the sky above.

Malcolm advances on you with murder in his eyes and swings with his full strength.

Emerald Razor with Power Attack (4): [roll0] vs. Touch AC

I have already seen the darkest corners of my mind dreamweaver. You have no place in them, Begon!!
Saetsu strikes out with his spiked chain to trip his opponent

Melee touch attack [roll0]
ability check strenth [roll1]
dex [roll2]
not sure which one im supposed to use for an opposed roll for tripping
If i fail my opposed roll and my opponent gets to counter trip, i will activate my Ring of Four Winds as a swift action for the +2 AC against the attack

Blackblood throws his weapons to the ground and bares his throat. "Have at it, then, cur. It was always going to end like this, anyway."

The dreamweaver shows you no mercy and strikes your exposed throat with it's sharp, spikey chain.

Coup degrace with Power Attack(4): Automatically hits and deals double damage. Make a Fortitude save equal to 10+damage dealt, if the damage doesn't kill Blackblood outright.
Damage: [roll0]

Not realizing this was a ruse, you've lured the dreamweaver close. The short sword, taken from the guard, is well hidden behind your back. A Coup degrace provokes an attack of opportunity. Resolve that, then your normal attack.

Rules stuff

You make a melee touch attack.
Then an opposed Str check vs. your opponent's Str or Dex (whichever is better). You get an additional +4 for Improved Trip and another +4 for each size category larger than your opponent.

On a successful trip, you get a free attack against that opponent (who is now prone) at +4 to hit.

Didn't you used to have Improved Trip? Did you switch it out for Darkstalker?

Opposed check:
DEX: [roll0]

You fail to trip your opponent.

Saetsu:

The dreamweaver attempts to counter-trip you.

Rules stuff

After a failed trip attempt, the defender may immediately react and make a Str check opposed by your Dex or Str check to try to trip you.

Since no attack roll is necessary, no need to activate your ring.

Strength check for trip: [roll0]
Saetsu Dex check: [roll1]

If the trip attempt is successful, you can drop your weapon to avoid being tripped.

You are not tripped.

Disarm is a normal attack + those extra items you listed. So you should be at a +17 to hit. And you normaly only want to 5' step back, otherwise you would provoke an AoO.

Through the intense pain, Saetsu puts all his focus on the task at hand, the utter destruction of his opponent.
Your entertainment for the evening is over Dreamweaver, My mind is the Last place you should have come to.

Inky blackness, shadow given physical form, flows out of the ground from where Saestu and the Dreamweaver are standing and surrounds them both completely in an instant, taking only seconds to fill the entire plain with moving, writhing shadow.

HIPS [roll0]

Pitch
The dreamweaver concentrates and the mesa turns slightly bowl-shaped. He stomps his foot and water gushes from the ground that almost instantly fills the bowl a foot deep.

Easily seeing (no roll needed) where you are standing, Malcolm charges you with a Battle Leader's Charge:

Attack: [roll0]
Miss chance due to invisibility: [roll1]
Damage: [roll2]
Crit confirmation: [roll3]
on Crit: [roll4]

You know with certainty that your invisible head just barely missed getting separated from your body as Malcolm's attack swooshes past your ear.

Thinking furiously , Pitch realizes he desperately needs to put distance between him and Mal's apparition ...smiling grimly to himself as he turns to flee Pitch thinks ...Thank the gods, this is only a Dream..Cypher would never let me live this down...
Round 3
Pitch abandons stealth for the moment and runs 4x base movement moving 160ft away from the apparition. Pitch has total concealment from Mal due to invisibility and barring some manuever /feat/ Warblade goodness I am unaware of avoids attack of opportunity as per PH pg 152 total concealment.

Pitch

Like a futuristic airplane on a straffing run, puffs of water splash behind you with each step. Carefully taking aim, Malcolm unleashes an arrow made entirely of acidic energy at you. Focusing his will, he wills it to unerringly strike you for a critical hit.

Opposed Will check:
Dreamweaver: [roll0]
Pitch: [roll1]

If dreamweaver wins the battle of wills, then you are hit with a critical hit.
If not, normal attack with miss chance for invisibility.
If hit, duration is 2 rounds for Melf's Acid Arrow.

Ranged touch attack: [roll2]
Damage: [roll3]
On Crit Damage: [roll4]
Miss chance for invisibility: [roll5] 1-50 miss

The arrow sails past you harmlessly.

Cypher

OOC: It being pitch black, required changes to the dreamweaver's action.

The dreamweaver let's you enforce your will. The plain is indeed pitch black. Instead, he concentrates and heavy, dark clouds begin releasing their moisture. Each drop hits and disintegrates into a small burst of glitter. Malcolm turns toward you and begins a Battle Leader's Charge.

Attack: [roll0]
Crit Confirmation: [roll1]
Damage: [roll2]
On Crit Damage: [roll3]
Extra damage from charge: 10

Malcolm's blade slices across your arm... dealing out 16 points of damage.
He focuses his will, to prevent you from healing. OOC: Opposed check to heal. You can roll both yours and the dreamweaver's check.

You and Malcolm are both lit up like a Christmas tree.

You know, the Empress did not need to make an enemy of me. But if she is so foolish as to send her dog to kill me then she proves she is not a fit ruler for the Empire. If you succeed you waste a valuable resource and if you fail... well, you've put me in a corner with my oaths.

If I could stay hidden I could win but with no way to maintain stealth I will loose this game of cat and mouse, he thinks to himself. Knowing that he likely could not win a game if the battle continued as it was,Cypher decides on a plan to try and quickly end the fight. Just in case though... I'd better try and tend these wounds

With that Cypher goes through a series of quick mental feats as he tries several things to put his plan in motion.

Focusing he tries to heal his own wounds and to dull the glitter on himself.

Cypher Heal check: Success
[roll0] Cypher heal
[roll1] DW oppose

Glitter Check: Success
[roll2] Cypher negating the Glitter on himself.
[roll3] DW oppose

Dagger to Scythe Check
[roll4] Cypher turning his dagger into a Scythe (Using IP 3/6) unless does not feel opposed)
[roll5] DW oppose
If weapon change fails then scrub the attack and Cypher will move 80ft away followed by casting Mage Armor.

Crit Hit Attempt: Fail
[roll6] Cypher trying to create a crit for his hit.( IP 4/6).
[roll7] DW oppose
If succeed the strike is a crit if fails then normal attack (as per DW usage).
Also, if hits will be spending IP 5/6 for +3 damage.

Possible Attacks: Dream Crit Failed so use this which also misses.
[roll8] For Normal hit if Dream Hit fails.
[roll9] Confirm roll for failed Dream Hit.

Possible Damages
[roll10] Damage for Dream Scythe Crit- It's x4 weapon ( IP 5/6)
[roll11] For non-crit attack (Only spends 5th IP on crit)

Striking at and missing Malcom with his ???Scythe??? Cypher quickly moves away 80ft (Move + Devotion).

Bottom Line:
Unless DW somehow did not oppose some of those checks or you have some corrections.... Cypher attacks, misses, and then moves away 75 feet stealthily as possible.

Seeing that he can not keep the Dark locked in and that distance does not mean anything in the Dreamscape he realizes his two waking advantages are null. Seems this is largely going to come down to luck, he thinks desperately to himself.

Flesh parts and blood sprays across the blackened plain as the head titters upon Malcom's shoulder then falls forwards as his knees buckle.

Cypher then says something smarmy though it is unlikely that the Dreamweaver ever heard it.

will Attack as above if I win the will check, otherwise i will change my attack. Could not find Coupe de Grace rules, so i will leave that to DM.

Knowledge/Ability check results:
Arcana: Dream weaving is an ancient mystery that you have heard of in your studies. Based loosely on the Nightmare spell, you know that the dreamweaver only has the power in your dream that you grant. What this means exactly, however, is unknown.

Spellcraft: No spell known to you could generate a Dreamscape, such as the one you are in now. However, you do know it must be based on the Nightmare spell, and as that is a spell of 5th level, the Dreamscape spell must be a spell of higher level.

Intelligence: No information gained from an Int check.

Wisdom: If you could wake yourself up, the spell would automatically end.
