In the homebrew threads everybody is able to make tables that show the advancement of their classes/PrCs but I don't know what code they use this and have not found any threads explaining how to make these tables/what the code is for doing so. Could somebody please tell me how to make tables and such?

On the bottom left of your screen there should be a link saying "vB Code (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode) is on." This will give you a basic explanation of all of the code used on the forums.

If you need help with tables for homebrewing, Fax's Guide to Homebrewing (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10313) has some great templates that you can use.

As a sort of follow up on this, as a general rule of thumb, if you see somebody doing something in a post and you want to learn how they did it, press the quote button. That'll allow you to see the codes used, and you can start playing around with them. Put whatever you want to try into a post and press the "Preview Post" button. That'll show exactly what your post will look like without actually adding it to the thread. You can repeat as often as necessary to get the codes the way you want.

But the guide doesn’t list the special options for the tables, like headers.

Couldn’t find the original thread, but this one has it all, I think.
