Go go gadget speculation!

Reference: List of Wondrous Items (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicitems/wondrousitems.htm) (scroll down about 2/3 way).

Assuming that all 3 stones are Sphere or Ellipsoid, the possibilities are:

Green: Pink and green (+2 to CHA) or Lavender and green (absorbs 8th and lower level spells) (most valuable Ioun Stone ever!)
Red: Scarlet and blue (+2 to INT) or maybe Deep red (+2 to DEX), but it's not that deep
Orange: Orange (+1 caster level), nothing else really fits

Additional possibilities if shape doesn't matter:

Green: Pale green (+1 on attack/saves/skills/ability checks)
Red: Dusty rose (+1 insight bonus to AC)
Orange: nothing else

So, as if the robes weren't a clear giveaway, the Orange stone indicates that she's a caster of some type. Any ideas what the green and red stones would be?

Probably a high level caster, wizard. Lavender and green would be highly useful.

Scarlet and blue makes sense too, then.

yea, seems to make sense that she's a wizard if she has caster stones with an INT buff, which I'm assuming because the DEX buff wouldn't be all that useful.

Objection! A CL increase is much more useful to a spellcaster.
Having said that I agree with your assesment

But overall, it's much better to be effectively immune to 80% of non-epic spells.

It's actually not that awesome -- absorbing spells requires a readied action (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicitems/wondrousitems.htm#iounStones), which basically means you give up your action to make one or more opponents waste theirs if they target you.
