So did anybody else get into the beta for the new web browser RockMelt (http://www.rockmelt.com/)? What do you think of it? So far I'm really liking it. It's built on a Chromium base, so the nuts and bolts of it, as expected, are sound. It's basically Chrome, extensions and all, but it's fully integrated with Facebook, and, right now, it might actually be a little bit faster.

Thoughts?

Haven't gotten it - and I don't really plan on it. While I love me some Chrome, I don't really like the Facebook integration part - I prefer to keep my information on websites separate to some degree.

I don't see the appeal myself. I like Chrome, but with Facebook attached? Not so much. This is coming from a guy who almost never goes on Facebook though.

I like Firefox, though. It's awesome and customizable and not owned by Google.

And look at it's mascot. How can you say "No I prefer Chrome" to this?

What is Opera exactly? I've heard of it, but know exactly nothing about it.

Foxkeh used Teleport!
Foxkeh got away!
But don't worry, when you find him again he'll still have all your tabs and half-finished posts. =3

Cheers.

As for RockMelt itself, I won't be using it. I don't use social networking besides Facebook so the sidebar thing (which just seems like another way of having a series of tabs open to me) is of no use to me, and for Facebook I'm never in such a hurry that I can't open a tab and do stuff that way; having a list of online friends etc. permanently down the side of my browser doesn't really appeal.

I've mentioned it to a couple of people who I think might use it, but I'll stick with Chrome.
