So, you got your random superpowers. You've discussed how lame or awesome they are. What if we made a comic based on characters with those powers, heroes and (despite the title) villains alike. The unifying origin story I had in mind is you were all transformed by a piece of god-tech that literally dropped out of the sky. What it was meant to do is anyones guess, but by the time the scientists were done not understanding how it worked; it gave people random super powers. And I do mean random.
Give a bio and a sketch or heromachine (http://www.ugo.com/games/superhero-generator-heromachine-2-5) printscreen.
Well, that's my idea any way. See you in the funny pages!

This is awesome and I'll drop a sketch in several hours (heromachine doesn't really have a monkeyman-template) so the infamous Hovering Lock Mocker Monkey will run rampant!

The "Random Superpowers" thread left me with "Voodoo Dolls" but the whole 3 power re-roll seemed to me as a way of getting slightly overpowered and nonsensical power combos, especially considering I got "Simian Mimicry" and "Reality Warping" in addition. I'll just stick with Voodoo Dolls for this villain, let's face it manipulating/hurting/killing people with dolls just doesn't have that many heroic applications, especially since they require the DNA of the victim and time for the preparations of the dolls.

"Effigy" is motivated not by power but by paranoia. In a world where a select few are now gifted with superhuman powers, he, being one of them, figures himself a target not only of the other super-beings, but of any and all fractions in what he sees as an inevitable power struggle. Hence he is manically working to assemble a sort of terracotta army of voodoo dolls and acquiring the DNA of important and mundane people alike for this purpose.

I'd give you a sketch but as of yet I haven't come up with a satisfactory design yet and the hero machine site is being uncooperative.

Edit: Apparently the name "Effigy" is used by a Green Lantern villain with fire based powers and a Skrull in the Marvel Universe, I really should have checked this first. >_<
But I like the name, I really do. Do I have to change it?

It's the Hovering Lock Mocker Monkey!
http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/photos/large/194731154.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=0ZRYP5X5F6FSMBCCSE82&Expires=1290099436&Signature=4NB76%2B3B8c352eNBsCJMnr0bXFY%3D
Just a quick sketch. I imagine his suit being black with dark-blue elements. His backpack is the same dark-blue color.

The Lock Mocker tries to remain under the radar. Although his Simian Mimicry (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Simian_Mimicry) enhances his strength and dexterity, he is not that formidable in combat. In hand-to-hand combat he will triumph over normal humans or supers without enhanced battle abilities, but when faced with deadly weapons or deadly powers he will retreat (or surrender if his opponent seems honorable).
His powers of levitation (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Levitation) and Access & Occlusion (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Access_%26_Occlusion) (and brachiation in forests) enable him to escape from most situations.
He uses his powers for selfish gain, stealing material wealth for himself and stealing artwork for the highest bidder. His goal is to amass enough wealth to finance research for a cure to revert to his original form, and also, to live the easy life.
Before the transformation, Lock Mocker was a well liked personality, he turned bitter when his social contacts diminished because of his simian semblance. On the streets he usually wears a large raincoat and hat to hide his ape-like appearance.

Feh. Empathic Acoustics. Cool, but about as useful as a bard without buffing. Or diplomancing.

Power Negation. Oh, here we have a winner. Yes, I can use this.

Mind Control. This settles it. Im going evil. This combo practically screams bad guy.

I bring you... the Hairy Portal-Frog
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_D6sFmd_8Kbw/TOViRqwA5QI/AAAAAAAAALk/tsvL97MOE-E/s512/The%20Hairy%20Portal-Frog.JPG

He mimics both amphibians and simians... at the same time! Ridiculous as that may seem, his true power lies in his ability to create portals at will to where ever he wishes. He mostly uses it to avoid walking, and to grab things from the fridge while sitting at home playing video games. A signature move is to create a portal for his tongue to grab whatever edible thing he wishes and pull it directly into his mouth.

Wait, we were allowed 3 powers not just one? Ooh, I'll add two later than post bio/picture.

Name of my villain: Yin
She comes from China and gets hired as a spy and information gatherer. Her powers are:
Mental Manipulation (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Mental_Manipulation)
Darkness Manipulation (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Darkness_Manipulation)
Adoptive Muscle Memory (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Adoptive_Muscle_Memory)

I'll work out her powers later and her bio/sketch.

From Deoxygenation (http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Deoxygenation):

http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/1436/antioxydent.png (http://img507.imageshack.us/i/antioxydent.png/)

Maximilian Dent was restless. He was a performer by trade, but he could never quite settle on what it was that he performed. This, coupled with Dent's unwavering overconfidence, resulted in a career marred by spectacular failures that would have been amusing had he not fatefully decided to try his hand at magic.

On Janurary 15th, 1953, Dent descended into the earth to become the youngest magician to ever perform the "buried alive" trick. Nobody even bothered to dig him back up.

Five and a half decades later, the mysterious energies released by the so-called "God Machine" coalesced in some ancient, forgotten bones, and Maximilian Dent awoke. With a cry of triumph, he clawed his way to the surface, only to find that nobody was watching anymore. Betrayal and rage burning in his heart, Dent shambled off to wreak his vengeance on the entertainment industry...

Powers:
Maximilian Dent has the power to inflict the same slow, suffocating death he suffered onto others. He can curse all oxygen within ten meters of his person, rendering it unable to be absorbed by the lungs of any living being. Being an undead skeleton, Dent himself is immune to the effects of his own power. His curse cannot penetrate airtight containers.

Dent is also a decent swordsman, using skills he picked up during his stage fighting phase. He is not skilled enough to go toe-to-toe against the more melee-centric heroes, but the fact that his opponents are either suffocating or wearing bulky breathing apparatuses gives him a significant edge.

My first guy was ridiculously uber-powerful, but had no comic potential. SO.. I made a new guy who could make for a funnier comic.

"Doc"
Powers:
-- Jerk Healing- he can heal just about anyone of just about anything, BUT he can only do it while making insults. He'll fix up all your boo-boos, but not without being a complete jerk about it and making you feel stupid for hurting your poor widdle self.
-- Simultaneous Speech- you know how annying it is when someone says the same thing you're saying at the same time? Well, with this power, I can do it absolutely flawlessly, saying exactly what the other guy is saying without error. The useful part of this is that I can do it across any distance, even when not in that person's presence. All I have to do is think about someone, and whatever they say, I say. Very handy for spying on people, if a bit confusing.
-- Thief Power- I am the ultimate king of stealth and sneakiness. I can walk right past a guard without notice, pick any pocket, slip past traps and alarms with impunity..all that jazz.

I'm having some trouble figuring out how to post a picture. He's a gray-haired 40-something human with a trenchcoat and sensible shoes, but his underwear is ridiculously garish.

Since I don't wanna use the one with the weird pinocchio powers, I'll try to make the one that got OCD into a cool character!

Well, here's what I could come up with for my animal mimicry/matter ingestion/immortality rolls.

Meet Kaagraar the Magnificent.

So I got,
The ability to absorb and expel energy
This is the ability to extract the energy in matter and store it in your body, in a similar way to how burning a fuel extracts its energy as heat. Simply by touching an object you can remove all of its energy, turning it into a completely energyless null atomic dust. Energy you absorb can be used to power your body, removing your need for food, air or water and preventing aging. The energy you absorb can be expelled as any form of energy (Radiation, Electricity, Heat, Light, Kinetic force etc.)

The ability to wield the Box of Power
The Box of Power has been known by many names over time. The Diabolical box, Pandora's box, The Box of Fate, and others. Within this golden box, an incredible, unimaginable power dwells, the power to grant near godhood. All who open this box are granted god-like powers and a realm. They will know what their realm is, because they will find a scroll stating what it is within the box. The box will endow you with godly energy, with which you can do as you wish.

The ability to control, generate and absorb Lego pieces
With this you can make a fortress of Lego pieces and even create armour for yourself, for the joints of the armour you can manipulate the Legos to be more moveable and more flexible. You can also expel lego pieces as projectiles for attacking enemies and create boulders of solid Lego and throw it for a better chance of taking out more enemies at once.

So I'm The Emperor of toy shaped doom?

Bow down before legolord!

He will replace the surface of the earth with legos! And then his power shall truly be infinite!

Alright here's my characters bio:

Name: Yin
Profession: Spy for hire. Due to her powers, Yin is able to easily obtain almost any information she wants.
Powers: Using her shadow powers Yin can disappear and appear in shadows, making it easy for her to infiltrate buildings as long as there is a shadow big enough for her to (dis)appear in. Her shadow powers also give her the power to levitate, but not of flight.
With her mental powers she is able to completely alter someone's brain, but uses it mostly to gain information out of them. She is able to make someone completely forget anything they want.
Yin can copy any movement she sees, as long as it does not involve copying superpowers. With this she can copy someone typing in a code, but is also able to use hand to hand combat or even sword fighting. Her body is because of this well trained, but doesn't go over the limits of the human body like super powered people would have. However Yin tries to avoid close combat and relies more on stealth.
Appearance: Long, straight, raven black hair that goes to below her shoulders. She has an asian appearance and is about 165cm long. She wears tight, black pants and tank top. She also wears black leather boots and long black fingerless gloves that reach to her elbows.
Personality: Yin is very calm and calculating. While working only for the money she has a certain pride that doesn't allow her to switch sides just because someone offers her more. She has worked on both the good and the bad side. While Yin does remain calm, if she is pushed or annoyed enough she does tend to explode and lose her cool front. (Usually resulting in her screaming and punching her target)

I hope this is enough?
