Bad things could happen with the tapestry?

[AmberVael]

Yes. Also, the gods could get mad, decide she cannot do her job, and then- Verdandi snaps her fingers. Two less valkyries in the world.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames's eyes widen. How likely is that to happen?

[AmberVael]

Verdandi shrugs. Depends on just how far she goes. She picks up her glass, holding it tightly so that her shaking hand will not drop it.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames looks very worried. Very, very worried. Vera, you know how to get to Valhalla, right?

[AmberVael]

Verdandi nods slowly. I could take us there, though it would be hard. Aesa is far more skilled at Galdr than I am.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames nods. Hopefully I'll be able to convince them to hold me responsible, and I don't think they'll be able to destroy me. Iames closes his eyes and breathes in, then out. Opening his eyes again, he smiles. Enough doom and gloom. This was supposed to be a fun dinner. You remember Arha, of course? (Trust me, this is good news.)

[AmberVael]

Iames, convincing them that you are responsible will not change anything. Verdandi shakes her head. Arha? Good news? Verdandi wonders if the news involves a sword and the blood magus.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Well, there must be something I can do. But anyway, the good news is that she's repented.

[AmberVael]

Really? How did that happen? Verdandi drinks her water now that her hand is not shaking so badly.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Well, she visited my temple one day and started chatting with Lyrak, who managed to get her to open up about her past. Apparently, she was raised in a brothel. Iames pauses to take a bite of the pot roast.

[AmberVael]

That is unsurprising.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames swallows. Indeed. But she was also first... made available... at the age of 8. Iames's mouth goes thin and hard. And her owner apparently took advantage of her often, to teach her obedience.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi does not reply, but instead holds her glass even tighter. It might not hold up much longer.

[Bearchase]

A polar bear enters the building, with a giggling kender laying out on its back.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames notices and decides to hurry things along. Anyway, the upshot of it all is that Arha's been acting the way she has her entire life because she's been afraid that everyone is out to take advantage of her in some way. She'd never felt love at all, from anyone. So Lyrak and I showed her, and she repented.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi nods and drinks her water.

[Bearchase]

The kender jumps off the polar bear's back and begins to walk around. He pokes at various things, including Iames as he wanders around.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames smiles. And I think it's going to stick, because she and Lyrak have fallen in love. Iames takes another bite, then looks down at the kender. Yes?

[Bearchase]

Bearchase sits down and watches Iames.

Verdandi is shocked. Arha and Lyrak?

Iames grins. I know. Can you imagine a more unlikely couple?

To the Kender: I'm Iames, this is Vera, I do have shineys, and I do have a pet.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi ruffles her wings as she turns to look at Bearchase. The valkyrie wears an amused smile.

[Bearchase]

The polar bear watches the kender. Slow down BC, it's hard to understand.

Can I have shineys?

Sorry, no. I need the shineys to pay for the meal.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi finally turns her attention back to the meal and picks at it.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames sighs and looks down at his plate. I'm sorry, Vera. This hasn't been a very good evening.

[AmberVael]

It was not your fault, Iames. Verdandi stops poking at the food. She has not eaten any of it.

[Bearchase]

The polar bear picks up the kender, by the back of the keders shirt, and carries him out.

[Lord Iames Osari]

No, it was. I brought up topics that upset you.

[AmberVael]

I needed to know about Aesa. In fact, we might even need to say something to her. Verdandi is upset by the thought.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames also looks worried. Is there any other route we might take? Are you sure that I couldn't convince them to punish me instead?

[AmberVael]

If we cannot be trusted to reliably keep ourselves balanced in the tapestry of fate, we are too dangerous to be kept alive. It does not matter who's fault it is.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Then I suppose we have no choice.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi grows fearful at the words. What do you mean?

[Lord Iames Osari]

Oh, I didn't mean it that way. I just meant that we'll have to talk to her about it. I assumed that to keep the balance, she isn't allowed to fall in love. Which would cause her a great deal of unhappiness.

[AmberVael]

Well, not neccessarily. She just is not allowed to change fate, and falling in love with someone who is not supposed to even know her, since she is not supposed to exist, well... Verdandi trails off.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Hmmm. I see. Iames yawns. Maybe I'm just tired, but that doesn't seem to change the practical implications of the situation.

[AmberVael]

It might happen that she could love someone without permanently changing fate, but it would be very unlikely. Verdandi blinks and is dazed for a second.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Vera? Are you alright?

[AmberVael]

Verdandi shakes her head. I- I am fine, just give me a moment. She closes her eyes and presses a hand to her forehead.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames waits.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi grows confused and her eyelids flicker closed. She goes limp and hits the table.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames throws some coins on the table, picks her up, and transports her back to the tower.

[Veg Sorbet]

Val and an elderly man with a mane of grey-white hair and a wild white beard enter. The man, dressed in robes similar to Val's, only rather worn, looks around, investigating a hookah with interest, whilst Val appraches Leona and places an order.

Leona sorts things out, and Val pays her with several gold coins conjoured from nowhere.

Val and Jureik sit, talking in Kroizian and enjoying the smoke, a bottle of fireamber, and a random selection from the menu.

[Wukei]

Wukei enters and orders something called a 'skittles.' (Yes, there is a hookah that's called this.) She then finds a nice place to sit down and while waiting for the hookah (since they normally take a few minutes to repair) she pulls out a cigarette and lights up.

[Veg Sorbet]

Jureik looks up as Wukei enters, and nods politely at her. As he turns back to Val he raises an eyebrow slightly. In barely more than a whisper, he asks, is it normal to have a god casually enter an establishment such as this? Val shrugs. In this place, everything goes. Nobody batted an eyelid when I explained where I was from. Jureik grins, and begins talking in Kroizian again.

[Wukei]

Wukei's expression changes some and she looks around, confused. She sees the Hookah come out and stares at it like she's never seen anything like it before.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye appears in a cloud of purple smoke. He looks around, as he's unfamiliar with the place

[Veg Sorbet]

As Val and Jureik continue their discussion, a large brown book, surrounded by a strange blue glow, appears in a flash of green light. Apparently expecting it, Val opens it on a certain page, and the two study it closely.

[Lykan]

A man with long, blond hair wearing green armor enter Hanks. He orders a silver dragon steak and sits at an empty table, consuming te meal in silence. An aura of clear power radiates from him, one that would cripple most mortals in fear...

[Wukei]

Wukei was about to greet Hawkeye when she notices the godly figure and pauses.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye glances at the man, with a sense of vauge recollection. He shrugs. "Wu, are you here?"

[Veg Sorbet]

Val and Jureik look up and stare at the latest newcomer. They take his appearance in, then look back down at the book again.

[Wukei]

Wukei waves to Hawkeye, Over here... She keeps her eyes on the other man.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks at Wu and smiles "Oh, I didn't notice you there. Being that you were, y'know, out in plain sight." he sits down besides her "How are you faring?"

[Lykan]

The man meets Wukei's gaze momentarily with empty looking eyes, gold in color. He chuckles slightly and looks back down at his meal.

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head, Confused. She nods in the direction of the stranger. Whossat?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks over at Lykan's evil PC "I don't know for sure...he seems familiar to me but I can't place him...."

[Lykan]

((Heh...))

The man gives a slight grin to Hawkeye, and goes back to his food

[Wukei]

Wukei shrugs and looks down at the hookah in front of her. Hel's been running around again, huh?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye runs a hand through his hair "I didn't feel her...my minds has been on other things. But judging from the location, I'd say that she had been."

[Wukei]

Wukei sighs, I'm sorry...I wish I had more control...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye sighs and puts his arm around Wu "I wish that too...I'm also thankful that Merant's not decided to try to take control. I would have expected him to have made an effort by now...."

[Wukei]

Wukei shrugs, He's probably waiting for something to happen...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye gives a grim smile "That's what he did in the past..."

[Lykan]

Lykan rushes into Hank's panting

Wu! Hawkeye! Mhina's in trouble!

THe man in green armor looks over at Lykan and smiles. Lykan freezes, feeling the presense of power staring at the back of his skull. He looks at Wu and Hawkeye, a pleading look on his face

Get out of here. NOW. Loki and Feris got her at the d-

Lykan is cut of by the sound of crackling electricity behind him. The man in green armor holds a sword of pure light, and advances toward the group

Ah yes... This will be much easier then I thought...

[Veg Sorbet]

Val and Jureik look up again, watching.

[Wukei]

Wukei stands, and seems pulled toward the door for a moment. She then draws a dark glowing sword from thin air, We can't leave you...

[Hawkeye]

"Loki has Mhina? Ah crapit" he looks at the man in green, and his eyes narrow "Now I remember who you are..." his eyes gradually turn to a deep purple

[Lykan]

Lykan snarls

Save your SHOCKing daughter!

The man beams widely at Hawkeye, before looking back at Lykan

The king has ordered your death.

The king is senile!

The man's smile fades, and three more blades emerge from the gauntlet covering the man's opposite hand

This is a mission I will enjoy doing...

[Wukei]

Hawkeye...go find Mhina... She steps toward the man, her sword at the ready.

[Veg Sorbet]

Val and Jureik continue to watch. A small amount of ghostly green energy begins to wrap itself around Jureik's body. I thought the general policy was 'its none of our business' Val mutters to him. Jureik blinks, then nods. the energy fades away again. The two continue to watch.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye nods reluctantly at Wukei "If you need serious help, you know how to call me..." He leaves the building

[Lykan]

Lykan grumbles

If you die you don't come back. That sword sucks the souls out of the bodies right when they die. Save your daughter. Your family is more important then m-

Still playing the gallant knight, Lykan? I thought you gave up on paladinhood.

Lykan growls, summoning his soulblade

Please, I'm begging you, miss... This isn't worth it. Go save your family.

The man suddenly blurs, and leaps foreward, sending a kick at Lykan with such force that he crashes into the wall on the opposite side of the room. The man pounces again...

[Wukei]

Wukei slashes at the man. You ARE family, stupid wolf!

[Veg Sorbet]

Val returns to studying the book. Jureik's eyes flciker between the book and the fight. The energy surrounding him slowly starts building up again.

[Lykan]

Psyches dives under the slashing blade and tries to land a foot on Wukei's face. He continues his advance on Lykan, who manages to get up and send dual waves of energy at the man, who seems unaffected by the barrage. He slashes at Lykan, who attempts to block the blow with his sword, only to have the blade oflight slice it clean in two, and slice off Lykan's right arm...

[Wukei]

Lykan...best thing to do is head toward the door, Wukei suggests as she stops her head from reeling. She stabs at the man again.

[Veg Sorbet]

the energy around Jureik now makes it appear that he is surrounded by ghostly green fire. He seems to be struggling not to join the fight. Val continues to read, fully aware of what is happening, but determined to keep out of it.

[Lykan]

The blade sinks into the mans shoulderblade, and he stops a second blow midswing

A greater diety protecting you? Well, your standard in the eyes of gods must have increased since we last met...

The man looks back at Wukei and smiles

I have no quarrel with you... Yet, goddess...

He stabs back at Lykan, hitting him in the stomach. He gasps and grits his teeth in pain as acid spills onto the fresh wound. The man goes to slash at Wukei with the claw on his opposite hand, bringing his sword around in a second attack...

[Wukei]

Wukei gets knocked back, twice. Let him go, she growls as she charges the man again.

[Veg Sorbet]

Jureik seems to loose it a little. The 'flames' around him drift upwards, forming therough outline of an ethereal, lime-green lion. Jureik's body slumps downwards. Val rolls his eyes and swears in Kroizian.

[Lykan]

The man grins, turning away from Wukei and slicing Lykan's achiles tendon as he tries to crawl away. Lykan shoots another blast of energy randomly backwards, hoping to hit the man.

My king has declared the death of his tribe. That means he, his father, his cousain, his sister, and...

He looks back and grins savegly, stabbing the basse of Lykan's spine

His fiance.

[Wukei]

Wukei growls, throwing two black fireballs at him. You will not harm my daughter!

[Veg Sorbet]

The lion sinks down into Jureik's body, which shifts, and turns into the hybrid form of a grey and off-white werelion. Jureik leaps up, and dives at Psyches, yelling something incoherant, aiming to headbut him.

Val shakes his head, but remains where he is.

[Lykan]

The man rolls away under the the balls of flame and over the werelion, and flips over a table, kicking it at Wukei with the force of a small truck. He ducks down quickly and his blade flashes again...

[Wukei]

Wukei attempts to dodge out of the way of the table but gets clipped and falls to the ground.

[Lykan]

The man is gone. Lykan lays in the corner, his hands and legs twitching.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye appears in a cloud of purple smoke. He runs over to Wu's side, not noticing Lykan (as he's in the corner and Hawkeye's unfamiliar with the place) "Wu, are you ok?"

[Kyrian]

Kyrian appears and follows Hawkeye.

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head to try to clear it. Where's Lykan?

[Veg Sorbet]

Jureik stumbles, regains his balance, then spins around, snarling. He looks around, trying to find the man, then abruptly shimmers out of existance.

Val stands, closes his eyes, mutters something, and vanishes in a flash of green light.

[Hawkeye]

"I don't know...is he around here?"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods, wincing, He was...please...find him.

[Lykan]

Lykan's body still twitches. in tthe corner, a pool of blood forming around his body

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye searches, and finds Lykan. He rushes over to him and tries to see what is wrong with the PC which is constantly injured as of late

[Kyrian]

Kyrian bends down and looks at Wukei. Are you sure you're ok?

[Lykan]

Lykan's head has been severed at the neck, with blood weeping from the wound. The head is no where to be found

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head. No...I'm not okay...but I want to make sure Lykan is...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye sees the headless corpse and shakes his head sadly. He walks back to Wu and hugs her gently

[Wukei]

Wukei winces at the hug. What's happened?

[Hawkeye]

((I did say gently...))

Hawkeye backs away slightly when Wukei winces. He looks down "Lykan's dead..."

[Wukei]

(Yes, but when you're in that much pain...it's hard to have any sort of hug...)

Wukei stares at Hawkeye in horror, No...how do we tell Mhina...

[Kyrian]

Kyrian sighs.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye shakes his head "I don't know..." he looks up at Kyrian, sadness in his voice, but a slight sense of friendliness that hasn't been there for quite a while "Thank you, you might have not done much...but the genuine feeling was there..."

[Kyrian]

I'm sorry I didn't come sooner.

[Hawkeye]

"You healed Mhina, which probably saved her. For that you have my dearest thanks...after all the crap I said to you..."

[Kyrian]

Some of which I probably deserved.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks away "We'll talk about that at some other time Ky..." he looks at Wukei "How are you feeling really Wu?"

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head, Not so good. She covers one of her wounds. He said...he was after Mhina... She looks around, and her eyes widen, And we left her all alone!

[Kyrian]

Kyrian's eyes begin to shift as he vanishes.

[Hawkeye]

"Alex and Kyrian are probably there...if they can't sort it no one can." at hearing Wukei's comment about how she felt, he passes on some strength to her "Does that help?"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods, A bit...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye nods sadly at her "You can't avoid being in the wars..." His face clouds over when he remembers something "Fenrir was at the docks..."

[Wukei]

Wukei scowls, He's just a puppet...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye scowls "He had Mhina, he tried to kill her..."

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head, Loki told him to. My brother is neutral but whenever Loki says jump he doesn't even ask 'how high' before he's already done it.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye shakes his head "That doesn't matter to me...when I left Alex was already chasing after him. Unless he got distracted beforehand Alex would have killed him."

[Wukei]

Wukei sighs, lowering her head.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye shifts so he's besides Wu and puts his arm around her gently

[Wukei]

I suppose it's some conselation to say that Fenrisulfr never liked me...Hel was his sister, not me...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye sighs, not knowing the right sort of thing to say in this situation.

After some time, "Do you want to go and see what's happening at the docks?"

[Wukei]

Wukei tries to stand, though it seems to be hard. She wipes some of the blood from her face. Sure.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye smiles sadly and stands, ready to support Wukei if needed "Walk or teleport? I can do both"

[Wukei]

Wukei glances over at Lykan's body and frowns sadly. Should we really leave him here?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye bites his lip "Where should we take him...we can hardly take him to the docks..."

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head, I don't know...but it seems wrong to just leave him here...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye sighs "There's not many places we can take him now..."

[Wukei]

Wukei nods. We can at least take him back to the agency to one of the back rooms...I can use a spell to keep him in perfect condition...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye nods "That sounds good...shall we take him there then?"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods and moves toward the body.

[Lykan]

The body suddenly comes to life and befins to strangle Wukei!

The body stopped twitching, and the wounds no longer bleed

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye follows Wukei towards the body "Are you up to taking us, or should I do it?"

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head, Honestly...I'm surprised I can stand...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye passes on some strength to Wukei, he wobbles slightly "Damn I'm going to need a lie down soon..." he picks up Lykan's body and puts his hand gently on Wukei's shoulder "Shall we go? I'll take us"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods, sighing sadly.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye nods and tries to smile brightly, but fails to do so. The pair and Lykan's body disappear in a cloud of purple smoke

[Mhina]

Because of the fact that Trog's is destroyed Mhina walks into Hank's and orders a lagar and a white tea. She places the bag she'd been hugging down in a seat and sets the lagar in front of it. She then sips at her white tea, quietly.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex enters the building, wobbling slightly. He walks up to the bar "A drink. Any sort. With lots of alcohol in it" he stares down at his hands, which are covered in dried blood.

[Mhina]

Mhina speaks, not to Alex, but to someone else. We just need to figure out what they did with your body.

...Well of course they had to do something with it. It was supposed to be here, right?

...Well it's not here now.

She looks up and sees Alex. Alex! Alex have you seen Lykan's body?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex shakes his head sadly "No...I've only seen one body recently..."

[Mhina]

Mhina raises an eyebrow then turns to the sack beside her. Well, I'm pretty sure he can tell the difference...well we'll have to try something else. We could go ask mom.

...Well, no...not right now. I really don't feel up to it. Besides, you haven't finished your drink.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex stares at his hands again "I don't think any amounts of drinks could solve what I've done and how I feel about it...but I can try anyway" he takes the drink he's been served, downs it in one go and orders another of the same

[Mhina]

Mhina looks at Alex, curiously. Are you all right?

...Yea, thanks.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks preplexed, his problems forgotten at the moment "No, not really Mhin...but are you alright? You seem to be talking to someone who isn't there"

[Lykan]

Mhina speaks, not to Alex, but to someone else. We just need to figure out what they did with your body.

She looks up and sees Alex. Alex! Alex have you seen Lykan's body?

((This would be really sad if it weren't so freaking amusing...))

[Mhina]

Mhina scowls. I have no idea what you're talking about. But I'm definitely more okay than Lykan...we can't seem to find his body. She motions to the sack with the lagar sitting in front of it, getting warm.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"Fine then Mhin, if you say you're ok then that's settled" he takes his new drink, downs it one again and then like before orders another.

[Mhina]

That's not very healthy...are you sure you're okay?

[Lykan]

[Kyrian]

[Alex Shipmaster]

"No, I'm not ok" Alex downs the third drink and wobbles slightly. He puts a hand on the bar to steady himself and orders another drink "Would you be if you just killed a member of your family?"

[Mhina]

Mhina shakes her head, No, I suppose not...but I've had to do it...

...yes, you're right. Sometimes it's required. I was just about to say so.
...drink your beer...

...anyway, before I was interrupted, she glares at the bag, I've killed Lykan, even...I didn't think I'd be able to move...but here we are, and everything's okay. Except...he's missing a body. But we'll find it! She smiles reassuringly at Alex then at the bag.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks at his drink, trying to decide who's going mad, him or Mhina. He then decides he doesn't care and drinks the fourth, and then orders another of the same.

[Mhina]

Mhina hugs her brother, Everything's going to be okay. You need to forgive yourself, or you'll go crazy.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex puts an arm around Mhina, partly to support himself "...I just wish that Jor would as well..." The fifth drink goes down in one as well, and the sixth is ordered

[Mhina]

Mhina looks confused, Jor? Well...I mean...you killed Fenrir, right? It'd be like you trying to forgive someone for killing me. Sure, you could do it if it was necessary. But it might take a while. She orders another tea and looks over her shoulder to see if Lykan needs another drink.

[Lykan]

((No, no, I'm quite alright, thank you.

The head smiles and turns back to the imaginary newspaper it was holding

"He did it because Loki told him to! If I'd been told that I would have told him to stick it up his ass! Why can't Jor see that?"

[Mhina]

Mhina shrugs, It's hard to see many faults when you love someone.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex lies his head on the bar, only raising it to drink his newly ordered drink "Fine job I'm doing of trying to be the good guy..."

[Mhina]

Mhina hugs him again, Thank you for helping me, yesterday...If I weren't still alive...well, there'd be no one to find Lykan's body for him. And I want him back alive.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"I feel glad that I was able to help, but very guilty in the manner in which I did it in..."

[Mhina]

Mhina shakes her head, keeping her arms around her brother, comfortingly. It's all right. You did what you had to do.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex finishes his drink and pushes the glass away. He waves for another one "Tell tha' ta the p'ple at the t'mple"

[Mhina]

Mhina knocks the drink away, Stop it! She clings to him, tears forming in her eyes. You had to do it! You had to! Stop drinking!

"FINALLY!" Phoenix storms in. Phoenixineohp shrugs and follows.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex tries to summon a drink, but can't seem to concentrate enough to do it. Or see straight and not double. "I c'n dr'nk if I c'n r'main upr'ght" he leans heavily on her and tries to wave for another drink

[Mhina]

Mhina knocks the drink away again. No! You can't! You're going to kill yourself! I can't lose you, too....

Phoenixineohp stops as she sees whats going on. Phoenix turns to Phoenixintohp,

Phoenix breathes a sigh of releif when she gets her drink and bottle. She down the first one and pats the seat next to her. Phoenixineohp goes over and joins, taking a glass for herself.

Mhina shakes her head, You're human, too.

Mhina knocks yet another drink away. Yes, and they get worse when you drink. Stop it!

Phoenix watches her knock it away and watches where it splashes.
"On second thought, lets just go home." Phoenix stands, grabbing the bottle and glass she was using and vanishes. Phoenixineohp signs, leaves some coin for the drinks, waves to the others and vanishes.

Lykan...and he asks for a drink and doesn't even drink it. But at least he only asked for one, she looks at her brother, worried.

Mhina shakes her head. No, no drink. Come on...we should get you back to the agency where it's safe... She moves to pick up the bag.

Alex gets shakily up, manages a few steps before going over, flat on his back. He laughs at the ceiling "Whoops!"

Mhina sighs picking up the bag and tying it to her belt carefully. Sorry...you're going to get bumped around a bit.

...He's heavy, but I'll try not to bump you around too much. I know it'll hurt. She walks over to her brother and hefts him up, putting one of his arms over her shoulders.

Mhina gives him a weird look, That's where we were going...but I'm afraid I don't know you...

Angelus looks at her smiling, I'm Angelus, I was the one who went to the agency looking for the Kender.

Mhina has a look of realization on her face, Oh, yes, of course.

She shifts Alex's weight a bit and heads to the door.

Vivian comes inside and looks around. She grins at the atmosphere, sits down and leans back against some of the cushions.

Angelus goes in and sits down lighting up a cigarette, and begins to look around.

Those silver dragon steaks might not be too bad. I think I'll get one of them.

"Sounds good. Two silver dragon steaks. And a bottle of your finest wine."

Leona nods and goes off to give Sakura their order. Vivian grins and looks around.

Well, there was this one time when me an a couple a' friends came across this giant. Its sleepin, ya see. So Nippy (thats the nickname of our little halfin' friend) decided to pick its pockets and take its stuff...

So little ol' Nippy picks his pockets, gets a little more daring, takes off its amulet, and then works his way 'round the big fellah, even taking off its rings. He came back with it all, feelin' high 'n mighty. He said that there weren't no one better than Nippy. Well, that t'weren't somethin' I was gonna take lyin' down.

"So you decided you had to try and best him?" Remy raises an eyebrow.

[AmberVael]

Vivian grins.
So I tol' Nippy that he was good, but he weren't that good. I reckoned I could do better. He wouldn't have none of it, and said that there weren't anythin' left t' take.

"Alright, so how'd you prove yourself?"

Well I tol' Nippy he had missed somethin'. An truthfully, he had. Now that giant had been snorin' up hellfire an' brimstone, with his mouth wide open. A little t'one side of his mouth he had a nice big gold tooth. I point'd it out'ta Nippy, an he laughed an said if I could get it, he'd give me his share an the gold tooth too. That t'weren't somethin' I was gonna pass up, no matter how crazy it was.

So I rolled up my sleeves...
Vivian looks at her sleeveless top.
I got ready to work. I lef my sword behin', cause I knew the heavier I was, the more the chance o' him wakin' up. They all tol' me to take me sword so I'd be ready ta' get him, at least, but I said I'd just sock him in tha eye if I needed to. So I got up to his mouth (he needed a mint, bad) and I studied the situation, Nippy jeerin' at me all the while.

Remy takes a drink of wine and continues listening.

I thought it over an decided that there was a way ta' do it, but Nippy wouldn'ta stood a chance at it. I made a link to tha giant and took all his pain m'self, then started t' cut that gold out. Real killer pain, that.

"Ouch...that must have hurt."

Ah well, I managed. I got mostly done, but it still wasn't comin' out. Musta been magically fused or somethin'. So there Nippy was, laughin' at me outta relief, he was sure that he had been a goner. But I wasn't done yet.

"Uh oh...what trick did you have left up your sleeve?"

Well, I figured gettin' most o' the gold was better than none, so I jus' used a little power I have which works a bit like this.
She flicks the bone of her steak and it sizzles and part of it disentegrates.
After a little'a that on tha main part connectin' it to tha tooth, it popped out real nice. Nippy's eyes nearly bulged outta their sockets. Served the little greedy guy right.
She chuckles at the memory.

"Let me guess...woke the giant up as well?"

Well yeah, Nippy squeeked a bit too loudly at the sight of tha tooth. It was worth it though.

"So what happened?"

Well Nippy freaked an' ran, while I got m'sword an decided to deal with it.

Remy smiles. "Sounds like you had a lot of fun."

Oh yeah. The giant weren't no trouble for us, we just wanted the challenge of stealin' and not wakin' him up. I just ran up and down him a couple a times with my sword. He didn't last long.
Vivian smiles and eats some of her steak.

Remy takes a bite of steak. "That was an interesting story. I enjoyed it."

Yeah, I do crazy stuff. Nippy's purse was hurtin' after that. I charged him for for bodyguard duty too, since I had to defend him 'gainst the giant.
Vivian chuckles.

Remy laughs and takes a drink of wine. "Sounds like you've had a really interesting life before you came here."

Oh I did. Adventurin' can be pretty entertainin', though a'times it can feel like weeks of boredom with a couple a moments of sheer terror.

"I know that feeling."

'M thinkin' that I'm gonna take a break here in town. Just lay low fer a bit, ya know?
