I need Resurrection, not just Raise Dead. The setting has no spells above 6th level and the only thing left of the body is a few hairs (thankfully they are stored in the astral plane).

I guess they will need to use the ring of wishes after all.

Incidentally, Reincarnate works with just a trace amount of body as well.

Of course there is. Planar Ally or Planar Binding. Summon something that can Resurrect and bargain for it's services.

Since you're limited to the 6th level spells, that limits you to 12 hit dice. While there are plenty of critters with Raise Dead, finding one with Resurrect is tricky. Your best bet would be a Noble Djin or an Efreet and bargain for one use of Wish.

Revivify has to be used within 1 round of death, while revenance has a longer time limit. Revenance them, they come back, they die again, then you can revivify them.

He has already stated that Raise Dead is inadequate.
