Wondering if a yuan-ti pureblood with a human father would have a pureblood mother or a halfbreed mother.

"Snaketouched" feats might be appropriate.

Since, unlike what you'd expect, "purebloods" are the most humanlike, "halfbloods" have snake heads, and "abominations" are nearly all snake, with humanlike arms.

So, a pureblood/human cross, will be even more like a human, than a pureblood is.

EDIT: but the parents of a pureblood, if one is human, I suppose the other could be a halfblood.

Though in theory it might take several generations from pureblood/human crossings, before the offspring are humans with the Snakeblooded feat- so the mother could be a pureblood too.

The parents can both be human. Purebloods are often made from normal humans by a series of rituals detailed in Savage Species.

There's some variants between "pureblood" and "human" though:

"Tainted ones" and "broodguards"- produced by drinking a distillation of yuan-ti venom mixed with certain herbs and roots (Broodguard is what happens when it goes wrong)

"Extaminaar"- new race in Champions of Ruin- hatched rather than born, started out as scaly and armless with undefined features, but lose most the scales, grow arms, and become much more humanlike as they mature. Produced by much hybridization between yuan-ti and humans.

Snake Blood- feat in Player's Guide to Faerun- for humans with just a trace of yuan-ti blood.
