Just out of curiosity, does anyone think the theme naming and dramatic ridiculosity may extend further than the two sons?

Say General Tarquin's first name could well be Alen. And Elan's mother Lena?

Possibly. It could also just as easily be his surname. Or part of some other naming convention.

In Rome, Tarquinius is a family name- Roman names went "personal name, family name, nickname" and often the personal name was left off.

So, Gaius Julius Caesar, was Gaius, of the Julii, and Caesar was his nickname.

Commonly known as "Julius Caesar".

Tarquinius Superbus, would have had a first name, and be of the Tarquinius family- Superbus (The Proud) was his nickname.

That said, OoTS may not work that way.

There is nothing whatsoever to suggest that. Elan and Nale have reversed names, a continuation of the "mirror" effect of the two groups meeting. They're not merely anagrams, they're opposites. There would be no reason to extend it to any other members of the family.

If they go for simply a reverse, maybe Elan's father's first name is Aron and his mother is Nora.

Nope. I know of several people who refer to girlfriends or wives as, say, "Mrs. Steve". Not to mention that Tarquin could be his only name.
