Complete Mage, the section on generalists and "Best Feats" advises Craft Wondrous Item because: "A vastly underrated feat gained at early levels. Creative-minded generalists can make excellent use of this ability by imbuing their most commonly cast spells into permanent magic items."
But the SRD tells me "You can create any wondrous item whose prerequisites you meet." Now, the wondrous items are easy enough to find in the DM's guide, but where are there any rules for turning spells into permanent magical items?
