Traven looks down at the counter and laughs. Wow, the timing you ninjas have can be quite perfect. He turns to face him. I have business to discuss as you know, I want to schedule a match soon. He's young and inexperienced, but I don't expect you to go easy on him. You might be surprised, he has one pretty impressive trick literally up his sleeve. I need to know when you can come by, just give me a few days to get the word out. Hearing Lillah speak, he looks over the Ninja's shoulder and sees her. What did you do to your hair? He asks jokingly.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks.
"A trick? How sad. I can come by at your convenience, Traven. Just tell me the time."

[Lucky]

Traven laughs. As I said, he's inexperienced, but he should learn quickly with enough beatings against him. He walks over to the board on the wall. Alright, I'll talk to him about timing, I just need to know how to find you. Unfortunately I don't speak Wind or Shadow.

[McBish]

"Dammit I forgot about that. An old freind likes to annoy me by doing this."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja considers for a moment, then proffers a small, ceramic tile to Traven. It glows as he holds it out to him.
"Break this when you have the time. I will know, and come here."
((Make sure I'm online though))

[Lucky]

Traven looks at the tile sceptically. If you say so. He pockets it and turns to Lillah. An old friend of yours you say? Must say I liked it better how you had it before, though I suppose I'll learn to live with it. He smiles as he walk towards her. So, think you can show for the opening fight?

[B-Man]

Kain enters the Den and notices that Traven is talking with someone. Not wanting to intrude, he just gets a drink and sits at the bar.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja vanishes in a whisp of smoke and shadow.

[McBish]

"Don't get to used to it I plan on changing it back soon enough. I suppose so. Oh and by the way where would I go if I needed to get a love potion/charm."

[Lucky]

Traven is silent for a few seconds, confused and unsure of what to say. A love potion? I think it's best that I don't pry... I'm not really sure, but I know the Black Market has it or can get it, but that seems to be closed at the moment, so if you want it soon I can bring one in, it will just take awhile. Traven notices Kain at the table and signals that'll be there soonish.

[McBish]

"Actually I am searching for someone who has recently bought some."

[Lucky]

Traven looks slightly relieved. Ah, well when you put it like that, that rules out the Black Market. Depending on how desperate the situation I can arrange to have a few doors knocked on... or knocked down.

[McBish]

"Don't worry about I'll see what I can turn up."

[Lucky]

Of course, of course, I expect you'll find out just fine. Hmm... You sure you want to change your hair? It's not that bad on second thought. Traven reaches a hand up to her hair, pulling it away when it gets close. Or not, maybe your old hair is better. Now tell me, how does someone make your hair longer and turn it pink as a joke?

[McBish]

"Well, I'm not entirely sure how he did it. He tried to explain it once, he called it controling chaos."

[Lucky]

Somehow that doesn't surprise me, there is plenty of chaos in this Town... Traven waves Kain over to come talk with him and Lillah. I have someone who you should meet.

[B-Man]

Kain sees Traven waving at him, barely. He takes his drink with him and says Hey Traven! Hello ma'am.

[McBish]

"*sarcasm*Yeah chaos*sarcasm* Hi nice there call me Lillah."

[B-Man]

Pleasure to meet you, Lillah. Name's Kain

[McBish]

"Nice to meet you Kain, so what do you do here in the den?"

[B-Man]

Well... I'll be fighting for Traven soon. Kain turns to Traven. Did you find my oppenent?

[Lucky]

Traven smiles and nods. You just missed him actually, he disappeared right when you showed up. Traven's face becomes more serious. I must be honest with you though, I don't expect you to win the first bout. If you go out there and win your first, that's a bonus, but this guy's experienced. He won't go down easy. Use this as a training match and learn what you can from him, and you'll be well on the road to winning one.

[B-Man]

Hmmm.... 'bout how much time do I have before the first match?

[Lucky]

That's what I need to talk to you about. It's up to you. Give me a good date and I'll write it in. Traven walks over to the calendar on the wall. So, give me something, just give me a few days to get the word out.

[B-Man]

Kain ponders I really need to learn how to control the curse soon, need a lot of motativation.
Gimme three days, if that's possible. Kain finally says to Traven.

[McBish]

"Knife fights huh? Sounds interesting."

[Lucky]

Traven thinks. 3 days? Could you make it 4? I have plans in 3. Dal gets back, plus I have an aquisition to make.

[B-Man]

Three days, four days, their both the same. Sure, why not. One more day of training.

And one more day of trying to control this curse manually.

[Lucky]

Good good. Traven says absent mindedly. Where would I find any more knife fighters in this town? Traven asks outloud.

[McBish]

"Don't look at me I'm a lover not a fighter." She says with a wink.

[Lucky]

Traven raises an eyebrow playfully. You don't say? Tell me more. He says as he returns the wink.

[B-Man]

I'm not too entirely sure... but you might find fighters in the Slums... Kain tries to hold back a yawn. Well, I guess I should get going. G'night Traven, g'night Lillah

Kain returns his mug to the counter and exits.

[McBish]

"Sorry I don't go into the whole work place affairs. And before you get any ideas I don't date people who fire me." She says with a smile. "Goodnight." She waves to Kain.

[Lucky]

Well I don't have many options left do I? Traven says, smile yet to have left his face. Well, I should get some rest. Night. Traven heads to the back, not waiting for a response.

[McBish]

"Night." She leaves and heads to the streets.

[Shazzam]

after eating the soup and bread shazzam leaves the tavern.

[McBish]

Lillah comes into the Den and leaves a message for Traven to find her. She turns and leaves.

[Lucky]

Traven walks out of the back and spots the note on the bar, curious, he approaches the bar and grabs the note, after reading it he looks up to Daggernose. Daggernose, how long did Lillah stick around? Did she say anything?

Not long and nothin' sir.

Wonderful, what's up now? He asks to himself as he departs from the Den.

[McBish]

Lillah and Traven come into the Den arm in arm. Sitting at one of the card tables is a man neither had ever seen before. While there is nothing to show it he seems to have the air of someone wealthy. Lillah turns to Traven "Wish me luck." She walks up to the table, "Excuse me, I'm going to sit down here and I'm going to win all your money. It will look like I'm cheating, but trust me I'm not. I'll give you the option of not letting me deal if you like. I will only touch my cards, and will use no magic." The man stares at her for a second and laughs out loud. He motions for her to take a seat and she does.

[TheHawk]

stumbles in, looking like he's in pain.

I need a rat mead. Something to end the pain.

[McBish]

Lillah seems to have been telling the truth not even touching her own cards for the first few hands. Quickly doubling her money and then doing it again. A crowd starts to gather around watching.

[Lucky]

You don't need luck. Traven says as she walks towards the table, shaking his head in sympathy as the man accepts her offer. Poor fool...
Traven sees Hawk stumble in. DAGGERNOSE! Mix something strong!

YESSIR! Daggernose runs off to make the strongest drink he knows, rushing over to Hawk with the drink 30 seconds later.

Destro wanders in. Anyone know where I can find someone to play cards with? He looks around, noticing but not particularily caring that most of the people in the place are less than agreeable looking.

It's intencified. The power. Cries out and holds his head.

Traven tries to contain a smile as Destro asks about cards. You could try joning that game. He points to Lillah and the NPC's game.

Daggernose quickly fetchs another two glasses of the stuff, the extra just in case.

[McBish]

Lillah seems oblivious to everything not on the table. She loses her first hand after about 12 hands. The man she is playing just shakes his head.

((Destro if you do join this table I feel I must warn you that Lillah is packing some powerful Chaotic Mojo right now and everything is going her way.))

[Destro_Yersul]

Works for me. Destro heads over to the table, conveniently walking through a couple NPC's to get to it. He pulls up a chair and sits down. Can I be in next round?

((I don't mind. Destro has lots of money, and just feels like playing right now.))

Lillah not looking up says "I will warn you the same as I warned this guy I'm not going to lose." ((I don't want to godmod here and I don't know how to mechanicaly explain what Lillah is doing to the cards.))

The power? Sure you haven't had enough drinks already... Traven asks Hawk sceptically, raising an eyebrow in curiousity. Seeing Destro hit the table, he mutters to himself. Another one bites the dust...

Destro waves one hand idly, as if losing doesn't matter to him. Who cares? I can always find more money.

[TheHawk]

There's a fight going on. I can feel power and life force, as well as see them. I'm nearly blind now, with no way of reducing it. I have an huge headach and will probably kill someone for a drink right now.

[McBish]

Lillah moves her growing pile of gold to aside to let Destro join. She has turned around 15 gold to well over 100 in a very short time.

[Destro_Yersul]

Destro fishes a bag out of a pocket. He takes 200 gold out of it and piles it on the table. He then puts the bag away. Let's see how long I can last with just this.

A fight you say? Where would I find this? Sounds like it will show up the knife fights for sure... Oh, but on that note. He directs the next part to the entire building. Everyone here is invited to the Den on Sunday, first fight of the re-opening!

I can feel everything around me. Kyrain and Iames are fighting at Hanks. looks over at Lillah. Cheater here, her life force might as well be an ant's.

[Lucky]

Hanks you say? This could be interesting... Lillah, I got to run for a bit. Later. He bolts out the door in the direction of Hanks.

[McBish]

Lillah winces in pain at the thought scream thingy. The cards will not stop falling in place for Lillah. Everyone has great hands but Lillah nearly always comes out on top. Even when she started with the worst hand she gets the cards she needs. She turns to Hawk and shoots him a mean look. ((How aggressively is Destro playing, that will decied how long he stays in it. Please tell me if this is too much godmodding.))

[TheHawk]

Winces at the scream And that didn't help.

[Destro_Yersul]

((It's fine. Godmodding is allowed IF you have permission from the person you are godmodding against.))
Destro shrugs, and loses a bunch of money on a good hand. He could cheat, but he's not going to.

stumbles at a pouch before pulling out a flask. Drains it and looks sick. But no longer in pain. Anyone know what that scream was? I now am compleatly blind. And cant feel anything.

Lillah now has about 500 gp. The man pulls out a large pile of platinum from a bag o' holding. He seems to be enjoying himself way to much for someone who is losing so much money.

[Destro_Yersul]

((Yeah, that's probably true. Polymorphing the cards into the best hand possible is still something he could do if he wanted though.))
Destro adds some more gold to the increasingly small pile in front of him. He grins, and deals the next hand.

Daggernose, the strongest stuff you have. Make it quick! Struggles into a chair

Yessir Leaves the room in a hurry and returns with the ale.

[McBish]

Lillah continues to win doubling up off the man several more times, as well as taking a large chunk of Desto's gold.

[Destro_Yersul]

You're quite good at this. Destro stacks his gold into little piles in front of him and continues losing.

[McBish]

"Lucky more than good actually." She looks at her pile of about 2000 gp. Several people are muttering wondering how she is doing it.

[Destro_Yersul]

Luck is a useful thing to have. Destro fishes the bag out again and places more gold on the table. It's the trick to life really.

[Lykan]

The voice screams again, then is cut short.

[TheHawk]

A man comes over to Hawk. Maybe you should hold back on the drink man. I mean honestly, six is enough.

Hawk leaps onto his table and grabs the mans throat. Maybe it is maybe its not. Guess we'll never find out. Draws a knife and holds it to the mans throat. Here's something to tell your friends, I'm three feet tall, half drunk, blind, and still capable of killing you. Throws the man to the floor and sits down again.

[McBish]

"So I've been told. But you have to remember luck has two sides." She says with a smile.

[Destro_Yersul]

That it does. Destro pushes a couple stacks of coins into the pot. How does the saying go again?

[McBish]

"Better lucky than good?" She lays down a royal flush and collects the pot.

[Destro_Yersul]

No, the other one. Destro thinks for a second. I have it! "You start life with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the second bag before the first one runs out." He grins and contemplates his hand.

[TheHawk]

My luck ran out a while ago. He dosn't seem to be talking to anyone.

[TheHawk]

I need to get some rest. Starts to leave, hits a wall. Changes his mind, turns into a bird, flys to the ceilling and out through a hole, after hiting the ceilling, repeatedly.

[McBish]

"Luck never runs out." She continues winning she is up to about 3000 gp at this time. "It just changes."

[Destro_Yersul]

It's still a good saying. He drops a few coins into the middle of the table. And no luck is better than bad luck.

[McBish]

The NPC plays almost every hand. Lillah doubles up several times off of him. Destro continues to lose his money as well.

[Destro_Yersul]

Destro casts a glance at Lillah's growing pile of gold. Not that it looks like you need to worry about either. He laughs and loses a bunch more money.

[McBish]

"Luck owes me." She turns to him and winks "I beat him at poker to."

[Lucky]

Traven walks back into the Den. Seen enough of that... He can't help but laugh as he sees Lillah's stack of winnings. He continues laughing as he heads to the backroom for the night.

[Destro_Yersul]

That's quite a feat. Destro dumps the last gold out of the perfectly normal bag and stacks it neatly. Do you always win?

[McBish]

"Only most of the time. I have been banned from almost everywhere I have played." She is up to around 12,000 gp and a bag of holding that the guy bet.

[Destro_Yersul]

Not surprising, if you always win. I don't mind though. There's more where this came from. Destro indicates the somewhat diminutive stack of coins in front of him.

[McBish]

"Must be quiet wealthy. This is almost enough I think." She goes all in and wins yet again raising her total to about 40,000. Most of it from the man sitting across the table.
The man just laughs he says. "I must say you are the best cheat I have ever seen, how do you do it. Don't worry this display was worth the cost but I am curious."
Lillah just looks at him. "I don't cheat, I have never needed to, this is just who I am."
The man says "Whatever you say."
Lillah shakes her head "Well I need to go spend this gold before someone decieds to try to rob me."

[Destro_Yersul]

Quite. Twenty one years of wandering around adventuring will do that. Destro stands up. Thank you for the game. He holds out his hand for her to shake.

[McBish]

She shakes it happily. And gathers the gold into her new bag of holding. She heads to the bar and sighs "Wow that was intense."

[Destro_Yersul]

Destro smiles to himself. He sits at a table and watches the bar. I'd like to know how she did that. It definately wasn't cheating, I could tell. Probably something outside my experience. There are too many things like that in this town. He chuckles quietly and orders a strong drink.

[McBish]

Lillah stands up and leaves heading in the direction of the OmniShop.

[Destro_Yersul]

Daggernose brings Destro his drink. Destro pays him, then stands up, drains the glass, and walks out of the bar. A few of the more dangerous looking NPC's keep an eye on him, remembering what he said about having a lot of money.

[McBish]

The man who lost to Lillah stands up and dissapears in a swirl of random colors and chaotic energy.

[Lucky]

Traven steps out of the backroom and looks around. Remembering the small tile in his pouch, he retrieves it and breaks it, then goes to look for Kain.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja appears.
"Yes? Is it time?"

[Lucky]

Daggernose nods. Traven's just gone to find 'im. Dun hurt 'im too bad sir.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks.
"I'll try not to kill him."

[Lucky]

((Errr... crap. B-man actually needs to leave now... so we'll try again in an hour.))

Traven comes back after searching for a while. Can't find him, but he knows when to come, so stay close Face Ninja. He goes to the back and preps the arena.

The Faceninja rolls his eyes and begins sharpening a dagger.
((K then))

[McBish]

Lillah walks into the Den and sits down looking around. Many people look to see if she is going to play cards again.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja looks up from sharpening his dagger.
"Lillah."
He nods in acknowledgement.

[McBish]

She nods back "Ninja man guy whose name I don't know."

[AmberVael]

Earin smirks to himself under his mask.
"I don't tell people my name."

[B-Man]

Kain walks into the Den, he seems kind of tired. Hello Traven, I'm ready for the fight.

[McBish]

"Oh well I don't..." She falters as she fails her Craft witty reply check. "Well fine then."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja flicks his eyes up at Kain.
"Oh please. I want a challenge, not someone dead on their feet. Get some rest, or find some magic to restore yourself."

[Lucky]

Traven comes out just before Kain walks in, and is surprised at his perfect timing. Excellent! And Lillah's here too? Everything's in order then, head to the arena everyone. He turns to face all the NPCs in the bar. Alright! You have a fight to watch! Head to the back.

Once everyone is inside, they're surprised just how many people already there in the stands, exchanging bets on who will win and cheering when they see the fighters enter.

Daggernose, I trust you to run the fight. I have business.

Yessir! Daggernose steps up to the arena and waits for the combatants.

[B-Man]

The air around Kain seems to flicker for a second. You're my opponent? Kain draws one of his daggers This should be fun.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja merely smirks infuriatingly and steps into the arena, not even bothering to draw a dagger.

[McBish]

Lillah moves to watch.

[B-Man]

Kain faces the Faceninja. I'm ready when you're ready.

[Lucky]

Daggernose seems to gain more confidence in his speech for a moment, standing on one of the poles as he turns to the crowd. Are ye ready for a fight? I can't 'ear ya! The crowd roars and gets on their feet.

Better! COMBATANTS! Fight!

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja merely waits, still not drawing a dagger.

[B-Man]

Kain seems rather annoyed. He rushes the Faceninja, slashing toward his right arm.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja raises his arm to block the attack, and the dagger slices his ninja suit and clangs off of a dagger in his sleeve. He flicks his wrist and points his arm at Kain, and the dagger slides to his hand and he jabs at Kain with it.

[B-Man]

Kain backs off a little bit. Shrugging off the puncture wound, he speeds behind the Faceninja and attempts to stab him from behind.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja snickers and vanishes, reappearing to one side. He slashes at Kain with his dagger, not attempting to do more than catch him off guard and give him a troublesome and irritating cut.

[B-Man]

((Where did you slash Kain in that last attack? It makes a difference.))

[AmberVael]

((Probably along the arm or the chest, whichever was turned more towards him. I assume arm, though if Kain wheeled around to face him, it would be chest))

[B-Man]

((Okay, I'll play that you slashed across the chest then))

Taking his free hand, Kain covers the slash across his chest. This isn't working... I need a different approach.

Kain takes his knife and cuts the wrap on his left arm. His arm seems burnt, but there is an impression of a five-point flower over the burn. As he cuts the wrap away, he also cuts the impression with the blade. The flower disappears and the air around Kain seems to simmer. His eyes begin to glow.

Come at me!

[McBish]

Lillah leans foward interested in this new development.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja seems unimpressed.
"If you insist..."
He lunges with his dagger, vanishes halfway through, appears behind Kain, and continues his lunge at Kain's back.

[B-Man]

Kain is quick to respond, but he cannot avoid the attack completely. He spins around and jabs at the Faceninja.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja takes the hit in his chest, though not too deep, and then counter attacks, lunging with his dagger, while stabbing lower with one that was until now hidden in his other hand.

[B-Man]

Kain dodges both attacks, but is thrown off balance. As he falls, the air around him becomes fiery.

I still can't seem to use my power fully.

[AmberVael]

Something around the Faceninja seems to blink, and he rushes foward despite the heat and flames, stabbing with his main dagger.

[B-Man]

Kain takes the puncture wound in the chest and counter-attacks by stabbing with his dagger, which now has caught fire.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja, not expecting a return attack just yet, snarls and half dodge, catching the jab along his side. The area where the dagger hits glows for a moment, and the fire does not seem to affect him.

[B-Man]

Kain gets up but he doesn't rush to attack. He seems to be staring at nothing. He begins muttering I can win if I have full control of this body! But you'll just kill everyone! Don't spoil my fun! You brought me here! His eyes burn even brighter and his clothes start to burn.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja takes advatange of Kain's distraction and rushes him, stabbing swiftly at his chest, then vanish to appear beside him, slicing at his arm.

[McBish]

Lillah looks with concern and pulls out a dagger out of the air while no one is looking at her.

[B-Man]

Kain howls in pain, but the cry barely sounds human. He then swings around with a streak of fire following his arm movement as he tries to slash the Faceninja.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja dodges inwards, and instead of meeting the blade he is struck by the flaming arm. He uses the strike to roll backwards, coming to his feet in a flip. Again, the fire is negated by a flare of light.
He flings his dagger at Kain.

[B-Man]

Kain dodges the dagger and rushes toward the Faceninja. He seems to be in a lot of pain.

[AmberVael]

The dagger reappears in the Faceninjas hand, who vanishes, appears to one side of Kain as he charges, and thrusts his dagger at his side.

[B-Man]

The dagger pierces Kain. He then runs to where the shredded remains of the wrap are and he tries to wrap his left arm. When the arm is re-wrapped, the fire disappears and his eyes return to normal. Kain colapses. I... give... you're too much...

[McBish]

Lillah makes her dagger dissapear. And heads over to Faceninja.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks.
"Obviously. Work on your skills, you'll need to."
He turns his back to him and moves to step out of the ring.

[Lucky]

Daggernose raises his hands. There ya 'ave it 'ave it! We 'ave a winner! Face Ninja! Many cheers are heard from the crowd, but a couple groans are heard as well as money exchanges hands among the crowd. Daggernose steps down from his pole and heads out to serve drinks. Fighters get free drinks for the day!

[B-Man]

Kain remains on the floor. He seems too injured to move.

[McBish]

Lillah moves over to Kain pulling a wand of CMW out of the air and heals him.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja snickers at Kain.
"Come now, I can't have my competitors dying off. If they all died I wouldn't have anything to do."

[B-Man]

Kain tries to get up with his wounds healed, but he isn't able to move his entire left side.

Thank you for the healing Lillah, but I'm sure it's not going to work any better than this. He slowly makes his way to the bar.

[McBish]

"You're welcome." Lillah walks over to Faceninja "You as good at throwing those daggers as you are fighting with them?"

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks.
"Better."
He tosses one to himself casually, catching it alternately by the blade and hilt, but somehow never cutting himself.

[McBish]

She raises an eyebrow "I ask because I used to do an act where I had someone throw daggers around me to entertain. I doubt your as good as the last guy I did it with but I was wondering if you were interested in trying it out."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja raises an eyebrow that clearly says wonders just how good this other person was.
"You might be surprised at my skill."

[McBish]

Lillah smirks "Well lets find out." She walks over to a wall and holds out her arm. "Above and below." A small crowd turns to watch this.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks and pulls out two daggers with one hand.
"Don't blink. You might miss it."
He flings them both with a practiced flick, and one sticks into the wall above her arm, and the other below. The one below is not quite a near as it could be, but hey, it was thrown at the same time as another.
The one above would have cut her shirt had it been a hair closer.

[McBish]

Lillah looks straight into his eyes not flinching at all. "Pretty good." She holds up her other hand spreading her fingers wide. "If you cut off my finger I'll be rather annoyed."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja narrows his eyes for a second, then in a fluid motion draws and flings three knives, one for each gap in the finger.
They all hit their targets. Or miss Lillah, depending on which way you want to look at it.

[McBish]

"Nice. I think we can work the whole evil guy who likes terrifying the poor defenseless young women angle. That is if you would be interested." She pulls the daggers out of the wall and toss them back to Faceninja hilt first.

[AmberVael]

"It does seem the most appropriate."
The Faceninja's voice is dry and cynical. He catches his daggers, all but one, which he lets fly past him. He holds up his hand right before it hits the ground, and it appears between his fingers. He twirls it thoughtfully.

[McBish]

"Your going to have to do better than that if you want to impress me. Like I said before I was sent here I worked with a master. But since he is unavaliable I guess you'll do."

He seems slightly offended, and vents it by making his voice rather condescending.

Konrad rushes into the Den. He scans the room and spots Kain, who by this time is nearly at the bar. He rushes toward him and says That lady was right. Kain, Cybil is going to kill you!

Kain groans. I didn't expect to be found here for at least another hour! Konrad slings Kain's left arm over his shoulder and helps Kain walk out of the Den.

[McBish]

"Oh don't worry about it. This guy has been doing it longer than you have been born I bet."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja smirks.
"Try me. You might be surprised."

[McBish]

"Well he was master jester for at least 40 years before I was born. He apparently had some military experinces for about 10 years. He travled around doing his act before becoming master jester for around 20 years or so. So about 91 years or so."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja shakes his head.
"Nope, sorry. I may look young, but I've got quite a few years under my belt. Definately over a hundred. But like I said, I've been using other weapons recently."

[McBish]

"That's fine throwing is only half the act. The crowd watchs to see how the person will react. Esspecially if the person is as pretty as me." She says with a wink.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja looks at her, amused.
"A little proud, are we?"

[McBish]

"Nope not at all." She says with a smile.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja laughs slightly. It isn't an unpleasant sound, oddly.
"How about I buy us both a drink?"
He waves over Daggernose.
"Daggernose, an ale and a...?"
He waits for Lillah to fill the space.

[McBish]

"Whatever wine you have. So what else do you do for fun besides knife fights?"

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja's mouth quirks very slightly.
"I practice my other trades and skills."

[Lucky]

Ale and wine coming up, free of charge. Daggernose pours the drinks and places it in front of the pair.

[McBish]

Lillah smiles "Ah going for the mysterious style I see."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja nods and grins.
"Of course. It makes things more interesting, and its helpful."
His face grows serious.
"To know one's past is to have power over them."

[McBish]

"Only if that one lets the past control them." She sips her wine.

[AmberVael]

"A valid point, but it is not always true."
He takes his ale, and takes off his mask to drink it.
The man underneath the mask is rather distinct. He has white hair, white skin, and black eyes. His features are sharp and defined, looking more like a chisled statue than a human.

[McBish]

Lillah reachs for her glass and notices her hand is shaking slightly. She pulls out a small vial of a multicolored liquid and puts a drop in her wine and takes a drink putting the vial away.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja raises an eyebrow.
"Essence of Chaos? I don't see that too often."

[McBish]

"No it does seem pretty hard to get here." She seems suprised that he recognized it.

[AmberVael]

He gives her a knowing smile.
"I've been around these kind of places for quite some time. I know all the different type of... induglences... that can be offered."

[McBish]

"Induglence no necessity yes." She takes a drink from her wine.

[Lucky]

Traven steps inside. Match over already? Damn. He steps up to the bar and leans over it, his hands placed on the bar. He asks Daggernose: Where did Kain go?

Daggernose shrugs. Dunno, his brother took 'im away.

His brother? That meddling...

[McBish]

Lillah waves to Traven "Hey I have your daggers for you."

[AmberVael]

"Oh? I've never heard of it being used as anything other than a drug."
He seems interested, and his black eyes watch her as he takes a drink from his ale.

[McBish]

"I'm from Limbo." She says as a explanation.

[Lucky]

My daggers? Traven thinks to himself for a moment. Of course! Those daggers, excellent, how'd everything go?

[McBish]

"Not the best. But we got everyone back and I only almost died, so all well that ends well." She pulls his daggers out of the air and gives them to him.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja listens and guesses correctly about what they are talking about.
"You speak of the rescue attempt at Inari's, I assume?"

[McBish]

"Yeah it was... interesting to say the least."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja nods.
"So I heard."
He leans back and drinks from his ale.

[Lucky]

Traven nods, but it is clear his mind has wandered elsewhere for the moment, as his eyes are looking towards the ceiling and he doesn't make a sound.

The Faceninja sips his drink and watches Traven calculatingly.

[McBish]

Lillah feeling full of energy starts to juggle her daggers, all 5 of them, pulling them out of no where.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja looks at Lillah.
"Can't stay still, can you?"

[McBish]

"I can but it kills me." There is something in her voice that makes you think that this might be more than a joke.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja raises an eyebrow and waits for an explanation.

[McBish]

"I'm from Limbo my being is chaotic and shifting all the time. To stand still is against my nature. This has allmost killed me several times." She stops juggling and starts to make her daggers dissapear into nowhere. "See where the daggers go. No? Because I am putting them into a extra-dimensional stasis of sorts. Movement is slowed down there. Someone with enough skill can acctually pull themselves into this place. I barely have enough skill but I can do it. Unfortently being held still for that long hurts me a lot. My being can't shift so my body starts to die. That is why I only use this if I'm going to die."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja looks interested.
"Really? How exactly do you do it?"

[McBish]

"I don't know if I can explain it." She twists her hand making a dagger appear. "It is all in the wrist and the mind and several other things. My master taught it to me."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja watches with interest.
"You know, it isn't the same, but that makes me wonder..."
He pulls out a dagger and considers it, as if trying to figure out a puzzle. He does something, and the dagger falls from his hand. He scowls at it, and then tries again and fails.
"You'd think if I could move around myself, a dagger would be easier..."

[McBish]

"It took me 6 years to pull it off. I think the main part is beliving you can do it. Also it might help being from Limbo somehow."

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja seems to realize something, and he holds the dagger up and snaps his fingers and it vanishes.
"That should prove useful. And no, that wasn't what you are doing."

[Lucky]

Traven seems to snap out of his dream-like state. Limbo has nothing to do with it, watch. He snaps his fingers and flaming green dagger appears in his hand. It is clearly much better quality than those that he gave to Lillah, it's wavy blade glimmering beneath the flames. He laughs, giving you the feeling there's more to the trick than he says.

To Traven "Nice." She finishes her drink and gets a idea. To anyone "Do you dance?"

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja seems amused.
"In many ways, yes. I am a sword dancer, a shadow dancer, and a normal dancer. Why?"

[McBish]

"Because I feel like dancing." She stands up and attempts to pull faceninja into a open space to dance with her.

[Lucky]

Traven shakes his head. Where I was raised, it was a little too unstable for any dancing to take place. You could try to learn but you'd end up flat on your back.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja seems extremely amused by this turn of events but does not resist.

[McBish]

She starts tangoing with Faceninja. She seems to be a very skilled dancer. ((31 preform dance)) The pair seem to draw a lot of stares.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja quite obviously is having a hard time keeping pace, and then his eyes briefly, ever so briefly flash blue and he easily matches her.
((Heh heh, gotta love the powers of psychic reformation))

Traven heads to the back and yells someone's name. A man dressed in simple black clothing steps out, a pouch on his belt. I need you to come with me, you have to indentify a few... things for me.
Whatever you say sir, just point the way.
Follow me.

They both head to the back and enter the tunnels within.

As they wrap up the dance all eyes are on them. She smiles up at him, "You are good."

[AmberVael]

"It comes in handy."
He looks around at everyone watching them, smirking a little.

[McBish]

She grins a evil looking grin. "Do you play cards?" ((You probably have heard about her skill/luck when it comes to cards if you have been in the Den lately.))

[AmberVael]

"Oh dear. Mind if I cheat?"

[McBish]

"Now why would I let you cheat?" She says innocently.

[AmberVael]

"So that we would have an equal chance a winning, of course."
He leads her back to the table.

[McBish]

She grabs a deck of cards she starts to shuffle the deck than hands it to Faceninja "Go ahead."

[AmberVael]

He examines the deck for a few moments, then smiles to himself and shuffles it the rest of the way, then cuts it and puts it on the table. No matter how hard anyone watches, they will not see him cheat, since he hasn't yet.
He idly plucks a lose thread or two from his black ninja suit where Kain cut it.

[McBish]

Lillah takes the deck and deals out a hand. She smiles up at him and bets.

[AmberVael]

The Faceninja idly taps his cards and bets over her.
((Can she sense psionics?))

[McBish]

((Nope.)) Lillah smiles and calls.

[AmberVael]

((Heh heh))
The Faceninja merely smiles and taps his cards again. Anyone with the ability to sense magic or psionics senses that his cards have suddenly been affected.

[McBish]

She motions for him to show what he has. ((I'm assuming he changed his cards but did he change hers?))

[AmberVael]

((No, but she can't beat him at least :smallwink:))
He flips over his hand, showing a royal flush.

[McBish]

((Tehe)) She see's his cards and breaks out in laughter. She laughs so hard she is almost crying. She flips over her cards and they match Faceninja's cards same suit and everything.

The Faceninja grins innocently.
"Oh dear."

[McBish]

"I don't think we should play cards together." She is still laughing. "Now everyone will wonder who is cheating you or me."

[AmberVael]

"Hm."
The Faceninja taps his fingers across his cards and they turn into five aces, one of which has daggers instead of the normal symbols.
"There. I win."

[McBish]

"Nope I win. Want to know why?"

[AmberVael]

"Because I'm a cheating bastard?"
He smiles to himself, flicks the cards and they return to normal. He hands them back to her.

[McBish]

"That works for me. But I think that is enough cards for tonight."

[AmberVael]

"Probably so."
He leans back and grins at her.
"I haven't met someone like you in a long time."

[McBish]

"That is because I'm one of a kind."

[AmberVael]

"But thats the worst hand to get."
He winks at her.

[McBish]

"Only if you don't know how to play it." She responds with a smile.

[AmberVael]

He nods.
"Anything else you want to test my skill at?"
He smiles amusedly back at her. It seems the only type of smile he is comfortable with.

[McBish]

"Why Mr. Ninja man who still hasn't told me his name, are you trying to seduce me?" ((Cookie in the air.))

[AmberVael]

((Guh.. uhm... sorry. No cookie for me))
He blinks, utterly caught off his guard for the first time in years.
"No..."

[McBish]

Lillah laughs a little "Good because otherwise I would have to show you my knife throwing skills."

[AmberVael]

"That doesn't sound a pleasant way to spend an evening."
He seems to relax.

[McBish]

"So what other skills do you have that I could test?"

[AmberVael]

He pulls out a very plain, thin, short, metal rod.
"As many skills as I might want."
He twirls it idly between his fingers.

[McBish]

"This whole mysterious thing might start to get annoying."

[Lucky]

Traven walks in once more, without the man he left with, he sits down at the bar and speaks to Daggernose. Well, I think business is done for the night. Hit me with an ale.
Well, I be doubting you want me to hit you, but 'eres yer ale. Daggernose slides him his ale.

[McBish]

He grins.
"I am a psionicist. One of the powers I have allows me to access sort of a primal network of memories and take them as my own. I can only have so many at a time, but I can exchange them. These memories detail whatever I might need. I can sing, dance, do feats of ledgerman, know old secrets, smith... anything."
He twirls the rod.
"Unfortunately, accessing this 'network' is rather wearing. This rod helps me negate that."

[McBish]

"I see. That must come in useful."

[AmberVael]

"Very. It has saved me many times."
He raises his eyebrows.
"Including tonight. I'm not normally that good of a dancer."

[McBish]

"Ah that is why it took you a bit to get into the rhythm of it." Faceninja might notice that there is a man who has been watching Lillah eversince he came in when they were dancing. She doesn't seem to notice him, and he seems to be trying to hide the fact that he is watching her.
