Aeri sighs happily and kisses him I love you, Nazgul.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul returns the kiss. And I love you Aeri, and I desire nothing more but to spend eternity with you and loving you.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and holds him close

[Kyrian]

Nazgul smiles widely and continues to hold her as well.

[Deadly]

Aeri sighs and gently caresses his neck as she holds him.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul sighs happily. You've made my life so happy.

[Deadly]

And you mine... she whispers.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul kisses her cheek, and a couple tears of joy fall from his eyes.

[Deadly]

Aeri gently wipes the tears away and looks into his eyes, smiling I'll never leave you

[Kyrian]

And I'll never leave you. Nazgul smiles back as he looks into her eyes.

[Deadly]

I know she whispers and kisses him passionately

[Kyrian]

Nazgul kisses her back with equal passion, never wanting to remove his arms from around her.

[Deadly]

Aeri shivers and sighs in his arms

[Kyrian]

What would you like to do now, beautiful?

[Deadly]

Just stay here in your arms, my love.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul smiles. Ok, I can do that. He keeps his arms around Aeri and holds her close against him.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and rests her head on his chest

[Kyrian]

Nazgul lightly kisses the top of her head, and slowly sits down with his back against the mountain, pulling Aeri into his lap.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and puts her hands on his shoulders before leaning over to kiss him.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul returns the kiss, and reaches out to stroke her cheek lightly.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and gently takes his hand, placing it over her heart.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul smiles and enjoys the feeling of her heart beating.

[Deadly]

Aeri closes her eyes and kisses his neck lightly

[Kyrian]

Nazgul shivers slightly, and smiles, as his eyes close halfway.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and continues kissing him while slipping out of her shirt.

[Kyrian]

Now this is a surprise... Nazgul pulls her closer if it's possible and kisses her neck in return.

[Deadly]

Aeri shivers with delight at the kiss as she's pulled close. She gently runs a hand through his hair and strokes his neck as she leans her head back

[Kyrian]

Nazgul smiles and keeps kissing her neck as the curtain performs a sneak attack and drops around them.

[Baeleck]

Shal and Ethrai venture out of Baeleck's hut, and begin to explore the area on the mountaintop.

[Chaotic Bob]

A few winter wolves silently watch the two from a cave.

[Baeleck]

The mephits begin to play, pushing and shoving each other about. They laugh and yell, and seem to be totally unaware that they are being observed.

[Chaotic Bob]

One of the winter wolves retreats into the cave and returns a few moments later with a much larger looking one, presumably the pack leader. It growls and a few wolves begin to circle around behind the mephits.

[Baeleck]

The mephits suddenly find themselves surrounded.
{Auran} "Oh, congrabulations, idiot! Look what your shouting did."
{Auran} "My shouting! I was making far less noise than you!"
They go back to back, carefully watching the wolves.

[Chaotic Bob]

The pack leader slowly walks over to the circle and growls again. The eyes of the wolves glint with a sadistic pleasure as they all simultaneously unleash their freezing breath weapons at the mephits.

[Baeleck]

The mephits both try to fly upwards and out the way, but get hit by most of the attacks. Thier high resistance to cold, however, means it does minimal damage. They tumble in mid air and swoop into a dive, aiming their breath weapons for the pack leader. There is fear ridden on both their faces.

[Chaotic Bob]

The pack leader jumps up towards the mephits with teeth bared and claws outstretched, shrugging off the breath weapons.

The rest of the wolves watch and move themselves to keep the circle around the mephits.

[Baeleck]

Ethrai gets knocked to the floor, but Shal dodges around the pack leader's pounce and flies so he is above him. He attempts to bite the wolf. Over near the cave entrance, a portal is formed, but this may go unnoticed to the wolves.

[Chaotic Bob]

It goes unnoticed by all except the two wolves who remained to guard the cave. They watch it suspiously.

Two wolves lunge forward towards Ethrai and the others tighten the circle.

The pack leader growls at the bite and tries to swat the mephit down with a paw.

[Baeleck]

Shal moves round to the other side of the wolf, away from his paw, and tightens his bite, twisting his jaws. Ethrai gets pinned to the ground by one of the two wolves, strugling. Baeleck appears through the portal, jumping out and slashing his sword at the two wolves guarding the cave.

[Chaotic Bob]

One of the wolves has just enough time to blink as its head is cut in half. The other wolf jumps back and howls.

Several of the wolves look up and run back towards the cave.

The wolf pinning Ethrai pushes down harder and growls. The other wolf darts forward, biting at Ethrai face.

The pack leader yelps and tries to roll over and crush the mephit with its weight.

[Baeleck]

"Aaargh!"
Shal yells as the wolf rolls onto him. Ethrai feels the jaws tighten around his face, and tries to lash out with his claws at the wolf's nose. Baeleck makes a large wall of ice between him and the approaching wolves, and then proceeds to attack the second wolf by the cave.

[Chaotic Bob]

The wolf growls and jumps back from Baeleck again, looking around itself quickly.

The wolves reach the wall and form a single file line, where they begin to take turns ramming a single spot at the base.

The wolf yells and pulls its head back abruptly, though it doesn't let go of the mephit's face.

With a growl of satisfaction, the pack leader continues to roll around, trying to crush the mephit into the ground further.

[Baeleck]

Shal squeezes his way out from under the wolf, and flies up high into the air, away from the creature. He formas a portal beneath his companion, which would throw him out high above the fight. Baeleck throws a freezing sphere up over the top of the wall and heads towards it, seemingly ignoring the other wolf.

[Chaotic Bob]

Ordinarily that would probably work, except the wolf holding onto the mephit's face isn't too eager to let it happen.

The wolves look up at the sphere and most of them dart out of the range, though two are unlucky enough to get caught in the blast, instantly killed and frozen.

The wolf behind Baeleck growls and unleashes its breath weapon towards his back.

The pack leader snarls at Shal and its gaze briefly flicks back to the cave.

[Baeleck]

Shal widens the portal so that the mephit and wolf will fall through. Baeleck gets hit right in the back by the wolf's breath weapon, giving a groan of pain before spinning round.
"May Aryn have mercy on you, creature..."
He charges the wolf, swiping quickly with his sword.

[Chaotic Bob]

The wolf expected Baeleck's action and quickly darts to the side, watching him carefully.

The wolf blinks as it appears above the fight, but just tighten's its jaws around Ethrai's face. The wolf who was pinning the mephit falls through as well and yelps as it begins to fall towards the ground.

The mass of wolves resume their ramming of the wall, howling periodically.

The pack leader snarls at Shal once more before darting back to join the rest of the pack.

[Baeleck]

Shal flies to aid his falling friend, delivering a suprisingly powerful kick to the wolf grabbing his face. Baeleck, seeing that the two mephits are mostly out of trouble, retreats back to the first portal, standing by it, but keeping his eye on the other wolf, scowling.

[Chaotic Bob]

The wolf yelps as he is flung around, severely bruised, in the air and tries to simply crush Ethrai's head with his jaws, before he loses his grip.

The wolf in the cave with Baeleck lunges forward, biting for his face.

The pack leader runs around the cave entrance and makes his way above it.

The rest of the pack follows there leader, except two.

[Baeleck]

Baeleck swings his sword up to block the wolf biting for his face, stepping backwards and into the portal. Ethrai dries in pain as the wolf rips away part of his face, but Shal grabs him and stuffs him through a portal also. Both portals close almost instantly.

[Chaotic Bob]

The wolf that had Ethrai howls and looks down in horror as the ground below rushes up to meet it.

The pack leader and the rest jump down onto the wall and slip into the cave, where they snarl in irritation that their prey has left.

The pack regroups and assesses its losses before returning to the cave to plan revenge.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul opens his eyes and gently lays Aeri down beside him. Getting up he walks to the flat top's edge and surveys the Town and surroundings below him.

[Deadly]

Aeri wakes slowly and blinks, a bit surprised to not find Nazgul beside her. She looks up and smiles as she spots him.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul turns around and smiles at her. Hey beautiful...

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and stands up before walking over to him Hey.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul puts his arms around her and kisses her passionately.

[Deadly]

Aeri returns the kiss and smiles before looking out over the edge a bit What were you looking at, my love?

[Kyrian]

Just looking.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and nods as she looks over the town and towards the sea It's a great view from up here.

[Kyrian]

I could almost live up here.

[Deadly]

Aeri looks around a bit It would probably be peaceful.

[Kyrian]

Not sure how that'd work though...Nazgul smiles.

[Deadly]

What do you mean?

[Kyrian]

Would there be enough space up here to build a place to live?

[Deadly]

Oh... Aeri smiles and looks around Part of it could be built into the mountain, I suppose.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul puts an arm around her. Then maybe we should try?

[Chaotic Bob]

As the rest of the pack lies down to sleep, the leader runs out to kill something. It calmed him, and he needed calming right now.

Almost immediately he spots a mountain ram and begins to quietly stalk it.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and kisses him Doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul kisses her passionately. He smiles after and gently strokes her cheek.

[Deadly]

Aeri sighs happily and holds him close

[Kyrian]

Nazgul grins.

[Deadly]

So... what do we do? I've never built anything before.

[Chaotic Bob]

After a few moments, the winter wolf jumps towards the ram and freezes it in place with his breath. He gives it a satisfied look over and pushes it over the side of the mountain.

[Kyrian]

Not quite sure. I've only been thinking of what happens afterwards...

[Deadly]

Aeri grins I'm sure we'll find out something.

[Kyrian]

Well, with your intelligence, I'm sure we will.

[Chaotic Bob]

The wolf watches the ram's body shatter on the rocks below and returns to his cave with a satisfied growl. He looks over his cave and lays down for some sleep.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and shakes her head a bit If you rely on my intelligence, then you might get a bit disappointed.

[Kyrian]

Why's that? Nazgul smiles.

[Deadly]

Aeri grins Nevermind. So, building houses aside, what would you like to do today?

[Kyrian]

Be with you.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles And I want to be with you.

[Kyrian]

So then...what do we do?

[Deadly]

Aeri shrugs I'm quite blank, to be honest.

[Kyrian]

So am I. Here was my choice, so it's your turn. Nazgul grins.

[Deadly]

Aww, but I don't know... maybe a drink or a dinner will help get my thoughts moving. she smiles

[Kyrian]

Then let's go get dinner.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles If you don't mind, of course.

[Kyrian]

Of course not, beautiful.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and wraps her arms around him Then let's go.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul lifts her up and flies off.

[Chaotic Bob]

The winter wolf pack wakes up and organizes itself in a line within the cave. The pack leader stands before them, slowly looking over each member for injuries from the previous night. He nods to each one in turn, most of them seeming fit enough. He spots one of the wolves near the entrance, trying feebly to stand up with broken legs from a large fall it took. The pack leader growls and two of the other wolves run over to put the struggling wolf to sleep. There is no room for weakness in this pack.

A short time later, the all but a few of the pack leave the cave to hunt.

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan and Kal appear with a pop.

[Kyrian]

Kal snaps his fingers, because that joke has just been long time coming. He smiles at Fydan before looking around at the mountains.

[Obsidian Blade]

She smiles back and looks over the view.

[Kyrian]

"You picked a good spot."

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan shrugs slightly. It was hardly me. It's harder with two people, so the stone picked where ihn the mountains. But it is pretty.

[Kyrian]

Kal just smiles as he takes her hand.

[Obsidian Blade]

She holds his hand and starts to walk up to a peak.

[Kyrian]

Kal follows her, thankful for the night, as it allows him to see the edges of the rocks better.

[Obsidian Blade]

She continues to randomly wander, smiling.

[Kyrian]

"What?" Kal asks playfully as he catches her smile.

[Obsidian Blade]

Nothing. I'm just happy.

[Kyrian]

Kal gently squeezes her hand. "So am I."

[puss in boots]

Raj appears behind a stone, a few feet away from Fydan and Kal.

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan, hearing Raj, casually rests her hand near her dagger hilt, peering through the darkness. Come out, whoever you are.

[puss in boots]

Raj doesn't know he is being called. He stalkes a mouse out then jumps on it, rolling into plain veiw.

[Obsidian Blade]

((Wait, Raj is a tiger, right?))

Fydan relaxes as she sees a large cat and not an enemy.

[puss in boots]

((Yes. He is a rather large cat.))

Raj slams the rat down on the ground and clutches his head moaning Too many thoughts!

Hmm? Fydan takes a step closer to Raj. Are you okay?

Raj manages to explain, I am a... mind reader. I just came from Trogs Tavern where there were lots of people thinking. I involuntarily read peoples minds.

Fydan frowns slightly. Many people around here don't take to having their minds read very well.

Raj shakes his head. No they don't. I would practice controlling that power, but I have a bigger problem.

Fydan raises an eyebrow, wondering at the odd need for people to spill out their problems to utter strangers, then shrugs. What's that?

Its a thing called Mar, But I don't like talking about him. I am Raj. My owner is Kerra and my most ferocious sister is Shadow. He studies you for a moment and nods.

Nice to meet you. I'm Fydan, and this is Kal. She points at the Dead Timed Kal.

[Chaotic Bob]

The winter wolf pack returns, sated and full, to there cave, taking a well deserved rest. The pack leader sits outside and watches the surrounding peaks.

A loud rumbling can be heard coming from the sky. There seems to be a large Meteor hurtling towards the streets of town.

[Kyrian]

Kal slashes and kills the dead time that was enveloping him and looks around.

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan smiles at him. Hey.

[Kyrian]

Kal smiles back. "Hey to you too."

[Obsidian Blade]

She kisses his cheek and turns to watch the miniature Town.

[Kyrian]

Kal puts an arm around her and looks down at the Town as well.

[Obsidian Blade]

She leans against him and smiles. Fydan's player winces as she waits for several gallons of creamed corn to fall upon her head.

[Kyrian]

Kal's player laughs and Kal smiles as well. "Pretty nice view."

[Obsidian Blade]

Yeah... I love it here. Town grows on you, I guess.

[Kyrian]

"Seems like it, doesn't it."

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan nods and nudges a stone over the edge of the path, watching it fall to the ridge below them. It was the right thing to do to come here.

[Kyrian]

"Why's that?" Kal turns and looks at her.

[Obsidian Blade]

I feel whole. Fydan shrugs and smiles at him.

[Kyrian]

Kal smiles. "Well, I too am glad that I came here."

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan grins and kisses him.

[puss in boots]

Raj appears about ten feet away from Fydan and Kal. He rolls over and starts to clean himself.

[Kyrian]

Kal returns the kiss. "You're a great person. And I'm glad I met you."

[Obsidian Blade]

Same here. Fydan doesn't appear to notice Raj.

[Kyrian]

Kal gently touches Fydan's cheek.

[Obsidian Blade]

She gazes at him and gives a small smile.

[Kyrian]

Kal smiles back. "I love you."

[Obsidian Blade]

I love you too. Saying this makes her smiles broadly, and she reaches for his hand.

[Kyrian]

Kal lets his hand be taken and his smile grows.

Come on. She starts walking again, uphill. Let's see where this path goes.

"Alright then." Kal matches her pace.

Fydan breathes in the fresh mountain air and walks slower. Where's Ex? I think she'd like it here.

[Kyrian]

"She's back at the apartments right now."

[Obsidian Blade]

Okay. She squeezes his hand.

[Kyrian]

Kal squeezes right back. "She sends her love though."

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan smiles and continues to lead him. How long have you two known each other, agian?

[Kyrian]

"Most of my life." Kal smiles as he follows her up the trail.

((It's ok, it's happened plenty of times before to others.))

They round a corner, and see... more mountains. Fydan sits down on a large rock and looks up at him.

[Kyrian]

Kal smiles. "Yes?"

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan brushes her hair back and smiles at him. Did I ever thank you?

[Kyrian]

"Thank me for what?"

[Chaotic Bob]

The winter wolf pack leaves for another hunt, though the pack leader stays behind this time.

[Obsidian Blade]

For doing all that you've done for me.

[Kyrian]

"Well, I love you, so I don't see why I shouldn't have. But your welcome."

[Obsidian Blade]

Fydan stands and kisses him.

[Kyrian]

Kal puts his arm around her and returns the kiss.

Fydan tries down to pull him down onto the rock with her.

[Kyrian]

She succeeds, as Kal doesn't resist her at all. He raises an eyebrow.

Fydan smiles at and proceeds to kiss him deeply.

Though a little surprised at the suddenness of it, Kal returns the kiss, just as deeply.

Fydan touches his cheek and smiles softly. I love you.

"I love you too." Kal smiles and turns his head so he can kiss her hand.

Shall we go back to the apartments?

[Kyrian]

"I guess we can. We've spent a few days out here now."

Okay. Fydan holds his hand and teleports them back to the apartments.

What part of the winter wolf pack that stayed behind curl up to rest. The pack leader walks out to a nearby peak and howls.

[AmberVael]

A portal opens in the mountains, and Catherine steps through, looking around interestedly. Her tail twitches and swishes as she observes.

[Sophistemon]

Gent follows after, his glasses growing darker in the sun.

[AmberVael]

Should we try and get to the mountain top, or just find interesting places?
Catherine starts walking, then frowns as she realizes she is wearing a rather cumbersome dress.
She ponders this for a moment, then uses a pair of spells to temporarily rid her of her tail and horns, and then give her a sturdy tunic, shorts, and hiking boots.

[Sophistemon]

"It's really all up to you, Catherine. I can go anywhere."

[AmberVael]

Lets see how high we can get then.
She smiles back at the Gent, uses her MAGE glove to snatch a convenient branch off the ground, and then begins using it as a walking stick as she begins hiking up the mountain.

[Sophistemon]

Gent uses his cane, and begins hiking after her.

[AmberVael]

So what do you want, Gent?
I mean... I know you like making friendships with the people in Town.
You are happy with your shop.
But thats not all there is to you, is it?

[Sophistemon]

"I... I do not really know what I want, Catherine. I am content. I think that that is the best that I can hope for."

[AmberVael]

Content is good. Catherine acknowledges.
She nods to herself.
But why is that the best?
She glances back at him as she keeps hiking up.

[Sophistemon]

"For me to be happy I would have to feel the same way that I did when my wife was still alive."

[AmberVael]

Catherine tenses a little.
...oh. I'm sorry- I didn't know...
She looks at the ground as she walks, obviously ashamed of herself.

[Sophistemon]

"It is no one's fault, Catherine. She had the Fever. It happened a lot where I grew up."

[AmberVael]

Catherine nods, but doesn't seem like she is much more pleased.
It just didn't occur to me that there might be something like that preventing you from being happy.

[Sophistemon]

"Is it so strange that I can fall in love, Catherine? And miss that love when it is gone?"

[AmberVael]

No...
Catherine shakes her head.
I just thought it would have been more obvious- that I would have known.

[Sophistemon]

"How could you have known? I have never told you. And I took off the ring the day she passed. Death came... and we parted."

[AmberVael]

I'm sorry, Gent. I shouldn't have brought this up.

[Sophistemon]

"I am sad that she is gone, Catherine. Not sad that she has died. Most things die, given the time to do so." He looks at the dirt beneath his feet. "I do miss the companionship, though. And she had the most wonderful laugh."

[AmberVael]

Catherine looks at him, not knowing what to say, then puts a hand on his shoulder.
I don't think there is much a simple, ex-scout can do, but I'll always listen if you need to talk.

[Sophistemon]

Gent smiles. "Catherine, if there is one thing that I learned from my wife, it is that women, ex-scouts or no, are never simple. But I thank you. I thank you very, very much."

[AmberVael]

Catherine winks at him, looking relieved that he seems to be a bit more normal.
I try and keep my complexity a secret. And you're welcome.
She starts hiking back up the mountaint.

Gent follows, whistling a happy tune.

He whistles like an orchestra.

Catherine looks back at him, grinning, then looks forwards, smiling at the odd but pleasant sound.

[Sophistemon]

Gent creates several ectoplasmic sparrows to sing backup.

[AmberVael]

How do you do that, Gent?
She smiles happily at him.

[Sophistemon]

"What, the sparrows? That is psionics. The whistling is me Bending the sound waves that emerge from my mouth when I whistle."

[AmberVael]

What is bending though?
I thought after I learned magic I'd understand... but even when Tinderhall showed me what he did about the planes and the rules... I don't understand it at all.

[Sophistemon]

Gent laughs. "Through careful study and, I've learned, my very selective bloodline, I have learned, in total, all of the rules of universal function. And, because I know the rules of how things work, I can Bend them. Think of it as me being able to find infinite loopholes for every possible situation."

[AmberVael]

Wow...
Catherine tries to think that over, then decides she may just try and see what Tinderhall was trying to do.

[Sophistemon]

"So. How are things with the old spook-wizard?"

[AmberVael]

He hasn't been around recently. Its kind of disappointing, because I'm progressing less with my studies.

[Sophistemon]

"That is a shame. Any idea where he has run off to?"

[AmberVael]

Catherine shakes her head.
Not really.

[Sophistemon]

"Oh. That is strange, that he would just disappear like that. I hope that all is well."

[AmberVael]

I think he'll be fine, but he may just be paying attention to something else more important.

[Sophistemon]

Gent raises an eyebrow. "Such as?"

[AmberVael]

Well, he is intending to try and save the universe...

[Sophistemon]

Gent stops. "From what?"

[AmberVael]

He said...
Catherine frowns as she tries to remember exactly what it was.
It was something about magic, I believe, and the way the gods created things.
They did it incorrectly- or at least, in a way that things were falling apart.

[Sophistemon]

"That is... interesting."

[AmberVael]

Catherine nods.
So I really hope he is working on that...

[Sophistemon]

"He could have asked for help. I wonder why he did not?"

[AmberVael]

I don't know. I think he believes that he is the only who really understands it.

[Sophistemon]

"Hm. That is a little conceited on his part."

[AmberVael]

Probably, but I don't think its an entirely false assumption.
When he showed me the inner workings... the rules... the energies that governed everything- it made so much sense!
But with the little time I had...
Catherine shakes her head.
I learned a lot of things, but I don't think I learned even a fraction of what he has learned.

[Sophistemon]

Gent stops again. In his tracks. Suddenly. "He's teaching you the Rules?"

[AmberVael]

Kind of. He only showed me a little.
Catherine frowns as she looks back at him.
Is something wrong?

[Sophistemon]

"It is... nothing. It is just that... he takes you to the lower realms, and puts you in danger there. And now he is teaching you things that... are not meant to be learned. I mean no offence to you, truly, but... such knowledge can, and tends to be, dangerous."

[AmberVael]

Actually, he showed me that before we went to the lower realms.
Catherine looks a little bashful.
And I've only used it in regard to spells.

[Sophistemon]

"I just need you to promise me something, Catherine. Please?"

[AmberVael]

What is it?

[Sophistemon]

"Promise me that you will not delve so deeply that you cannot climb back out. My existence is not a happy one; I do not wish the same for you."

The ectoplasmic sparrows chirp sadly.

Catherine looks at him a while, then moves back to him and gives the Gent a comforting hug.
I promise. For you.

[Sophistemon]

Gent stiffens (in a spinal way, not a weeny way, you perverts) and then slowly, cautiously, he hugs her back. "Thank you," he says. "Promise me one more thing?"

Catherine smiles.

Somewhere atop one of the craggy cliffs something large and leathery and metallic is busy communing with his deity. He had suggested some time ago that Catherine visit the mountains, but he currently has no idea she finally decided to check them out.

It would be hard to spot Regiji at the moment, even accounting for the staggering distance. This is mostly because he's currently covered in snow.
