The sun lit up the arena as the contestants walked in. Thousands, if not millions of creatures fill the stands. A legion of gigantic humanoids sit together in the stands, an equal distance from each starting point. A great voice resonates through the arena from the sky, "Signal when ready."

The arena is 1000' in diameter and regular-looking. Until you see the beams of electricity shooting across it from its walls (Each round in the arena, you take 5d6-10 electricity damage.)


OOC: combat starts after both players post saying they are ready. After both players signal that they are ready, Combat will not start until the day after the second player confirms. If it does, the player(s) who did become disqualified.

Also I have universal energy resistance 30, so the arena lightning can't harm me.

We can take actions before signalling we're ready, right?
If so,

Maedrinal appears as a figure wreathed in shadow. He looks across the arena then, with a smirk disappears. Shortly after an arrow is fired into the air.
One round to cast Greater Invisibility, one round to cast Globe of Invulnerability, fire the arrow to signal readiness, then draw chain.

No attacking before you signal. The electricity bypasses energy resistance.

OOC: If I'm not already disqualified I'm here. Sorry I'm a bit late on the uptake; I'm on break this week and the closest public internet to my Mom's is a 5 mile walk. Anyway:

DMDoes the electricity damage overcome my immunity? (Granted by an epic ring, if it matters)

Walking into the arena Agrios looks around at the spectators and forward to his adversary. Flexing his claws he stretches his wings and upon seeing his opponent apparently disapear he takes to the skies. (Flies straight up, 220ft. or until he can't go any farther.) Once he's reached the apex of his ascent he speaks quietly, almost as if to himself. I am ready.

Agrios stares about intently, a look of severe concentration on his face. He turns his head this way and that, trying to discern where his enemy has gone.

@DM:Do we roll our own electrical damage per round or do you roll it? Also, does my fast healing work in relation to it? (I think I forgot to ask that before.) Oh, and I have scent (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#scent), if/when that helps. Er, to find my opponent, not in relation to the electricity. Though I suppose that was probably obvious. I'm gonna stop babbling now.
