Primary (Twilight) Opponents
Here we go. Characters: (taken from Wikipedia)
Bella Swan.
Can protect her mind and is immune to hypnotism and mind reading. Doesn't want to drink blood for some reason. Pure vanilla women, who desperately needs some self-respect. Beautiful as only an unashamed Mary Sue can be.

Edward Cullen
Creepy stalker guy who watches little girls sleep. Can read minds, except Bella's. Sparkles in the sunlight and plays the piano.
He's not gay or anything.

Jacob Black
Pedophile werewolf Native American who has betrayed his people's lifestyle to mess around with crappy cars. Can turn into a wolf, but not a wolf man, and heals fast. Like to wrestle other shirtless guys in a non-gay way, and you could cut the sexual tension between him and Edward with a spoon.

Alice Cullen
Can see the future, although if she was any good at it she'd have jumped in the ocean and would be hoping the sharks get her before the hunters.

Carlisle Cullen
Single-handedly responsible for the aberration that is this story. Is a doctor. Gives information of questionable scientific merit. There is nothing odd about him choosing his eternal companion to be a seventeen year old boy. Nothing at all.

Esme Cullen
Carlisle's bait and switch to prove he's not gay. That's about it.

Rosalie Hale
Doesn't like Bella, making her the most believable character in the series. The fact we're not meant to like her only adds to her appeal.
Made it through the Great Depression thanks to a job in a bank?

Emmett Cullen
Basically a strong vampire frat boy.

Jasper Hale
He can control emotions, and based on his backstory may be actually competent. Long live our glorious confederacy.

Renesmee Cullen
The half human daughter of Edward and Bella. Engaged to Jacob despite being barely a year old.

Werewolves.
There are 16 of them. Nine of them have names, but who cares.

Aro
If he's what passes for a bad guy, no wonder they evolved so poorly. Can read minds by touching. It's truly a tragedy. Still, his existence is an abomination against god.

Marcus
He's Aro's echo. Ignore it, and it will go away. He can sense relationships. Why that could conceivably be useful to a man who rules part of the world with an iron fist, when he could, alternately, kill with a thought if god had been a bit kinder, nobody knows. Maybe if he was subtle and manipulative he could do something with it. If.

Caius
He doesn't seem to do anything. We suspect he's retarded, senile, or both. Doesn't have any powers either.

Volturi goons.
There are quite a few of these. Most are competent, and have offensive powers.
32 of them. Randomly spread around, two Wives always with leaders.
* Afton - unknown talent
* Alec - sensory paralysis
* Chelsea- relationship manipulation (cannot manipulate emotional ties as easily, eg. Bella and Edward)
* Corin - unknown talent
* Demetri - tracking sense (known as the greatest tracker in the world)
*Felix - N/A
* Heidi - illusion of desires
* Jane - illusion of pain
* Renata - protective shield (can form a mental force field to avoid physical attacks, her power is quite similar to Bella's ability to create mental shields to avoid mental attacks.)
* Santiago - N/A

Denali sisters
Irina, Tanya, and Kate. Apparently responsible for the myth of the succubus, as it is perfectly plausible for cultures a globe apart to develop the same legends because three sisters like to have a bit of fun over in Italy.

Here are my characters:

Y.T.

http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs12/i/2006/313/7/6/YT_from_Snow_crash_by_Tastycake.jpg
1. A Skateboard Kourier employed by RadKIS, that uses a electromagnetic harpoon gun to 'harpoon' cars and ride along with them, pulling sweet skateboard trips all in the name of delivering packages.
2. Has a ridiculous amount of gadgets for safety and self-defense, ranging from Knight Vision goggles, a jumpsuit with barcodes for every residence in the U.S. and impact activated full body airbags, Liquid Knuckle Taser projectors, "Bundy" stun sticks, wrist Tasers, dog tags from the leader of the Mafia, adaptive earplugs, a flashlight, a skateboard with computerized smart wheels that can adapt to any surface or obstacles and a forward facing sonic projector designed to shatter glass, and a few other things...
3. A sarcastic, jaded, and horrifyingly profane personality worthy of Hit Girl.

And Richard "The Overlord" Seaton, the God of Ether

http://www.technewsdaily.com/images/stories/skylark-100315-02.jpg
1. If you notice carefully, You'll see a reference to "Armageddon 2850" on the cover. That's right, the first story featuring Buck Rogers occurred in the same magazine that Featured the Skylark of Space!
2. Anyways, Richard Seaton is a brilliant scientist that grew up in a log cabin, chopped wood in the morning and studied books at night, learned valuable survival skills, went to college, became a brilliant chemist and researcher, a crack shot worthy of the gunslingers of Eld, and became a mean hand at Tennis, whether doubles or singles.
3. Then he discovered a near-unknown isotope that allowed for pure matter-to-energy conversion, among other things. He used it to build a spaceship. Things got out of hand from there.

4. Currently he's working with two spaceships:

The spherical "Skylark II": a shuttle type spaceship the size of a house taht nonetheless can fly from star to star, is made of a near-unbreakables tranparent shell of molecularly bound materials (General Products:smallwink:), is equipped with matter and energy repelling shields, beam, particle, and high-explosive weapons, tractor and repellor beams, a 'pocket universe' generator that isolates the ship from gravity, electromagnetism, kinetic energy, and the works, and a fully equipped laboratory. It's currently a lifeboat for the...

Skylark III, a giant 'dirigible' ship the size of a skyscraper designed to fight big things. It's got lots and lots of engines, lots and lots of power, can travel between galaxies, and project energy across several hundred lightyears. It's got shields of vast powers and layers, a hull surface of gleaming purple transparent material that is the logical ultimate of strong stuff, an inertial-compensation system...it's powerful, okay? It can crack planets, and take hits from planet cracking weapons. Of course, that's not Seaton's goal at the moment.
5. Is looking for his absent wife and friends, and trying to figure out what has happened in his abscence.

Great introductions so far. I'm going to wait until the other half of a couple of the conflicts post but we're off to a great start.

I do have one concern with V's post. Who is he talking too?

Draxx
2010-11-22, 10:57 PM
That's how he talks in the comics, and it's implied at the end that it's his diary that is intended for his successor (Evie).
So he's talking to himself in the future.

As for the end bit, he's instructing Spider Jeruselum.

And I'll be once more playing the role of the wonderfully deliriously high journalist Spider Jerusalem. Complete with enough weaponry to take out a small country(or New Jersey), enough drugs to cure Africa, and enough **lls to make a bull drop in envy.

Additionally, I'll be playing one Terrance "Terry" McGinnis, who is the successor to Batman after a 30 year hiatus. He's had some rough spots, but the Batsuit's been upgraded to deal with a new world's worth of issues, and Terry himself is no slouch in the heroing department. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LikMS5gDDI) Just ask the Joker.

EDIT: I'd put in a few more tropes.

Always a Bigger Fish: Dream of the Endless to an ascended Eddie Riggs. "All gods are born in my realm" makes Dream quite powerful.

Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Subverted and played straight in multiple cases. At one point, John Taylor(link to Nightside) actually pulls out the Speaking Gun(Artifact of Doom), intent on destroying the Saint of Killers with it, only to have his friend get in the way, and get (caught in the gun's path instead.)(link to Oh Crap). Taylor just killed one of his few good friends, and damned his soul.(Nice Job Breaking It Hero).

Fate Worse than Death: Scott's curse to never be able to sleep again definitely counts.

What the Hell, Hero: Dream provides many such moments. Of course, it's (in character for him)(Jerkass Gods)

Shrouded in Myth: John Taylor attempts to weaponize this against (Reality Warper) Meyer, but the attempt only makes him seem more demonic and evil.

Crowning Moment of Funny: Sanya gets turned into a fez-wearing Teddy Bear on a unicycle by Meyer.

Michael Wilson: President of the United States of America!
http://i.imgur.com/zyJPs.jpg

Michael Wilson, War hero and sitting United States President, is an uncomplicated man. He likes steak, football, fireworks, and FREEDOM.

The son of a beloved senior statesman, Michael found glory during the Arizona Insurrection, an attempt by human-supremacists to forcefully secede from the Union, then conquer the rest of the country, For his heroic deeds, he received the Medal of Honor, something that, when combined with his refreshing, no-bulls**t attitude, allowed him to win the Presidential election in an unprecedented landslide.

Then there was the 'Metal Wolf' (http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Metal%20Wolf%20Chaos/) incident, where Michael earned the distinction of singlehandedly stopping a coup attempt against him by waging a one-man guerilla war against his usurper; former Vice President Richard Hawk, who Michael defeated in single combat in order to put an end to the Vice President's inexplicable reign of pointless terror. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MetalWolfChaos)

However, Michael did have an ace up his sleeve during the incident: The new-model Super Power Suit codenamed 'Metal Wolf.'

http://i.imgur.com/gRJr1.jpg

A super-prototype heavy powered armor developed by some of the best Sparks in the world, it represents an 'unofficial alliance' between Wilson's administration and Wulfenbach, which Michael has no problems with due to actually knowing the man personally and being fully aware of what kind of horror a rogue Spark is capable of (The Insurrection forces had five high-level Sparks, and almost conquered the country with their technology).

The 'Metal Wolf' is 3 meters tall, possesses far heavier armor and shielding than a unit of its size could possibly have according to normal science, and carries around more gun than a freaking battleship.

http://i.imgur.com/7W1vB.jpg

It is a superhuman juggernaut of a suit, and Michael keeps it in a secret hangar in the White House basement that's directly connected to the Oval Office, so that he can get himself suited up the second trouble goes down.

Michael appears to be an unstable, childish idiot who thinks that everything is awesome and that every problem can be solved by shooting it repeatedly. In reality, he is quite intelligent and cunning, and has no problems doing his own dirty work, and honestly loves both America and its myriad, post-human peoples.

The 'hot-blooded manchild' is merely one part of his personality, which he has made his public face because the disaffected American people respond really, really well to it, regardless of party affiliation, and it's how he actually is anyway, so he doesn't have to struggle with keeping up appearances.

Capabilities and assets:

+Trained soldier, expert with small arms and skilled in melee combat.

+Very athletic and physically fit.

+Uncannily skilled diplomat, and a born leader.

+Is THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

+Has a super robot capable of both entering buildings and blowing up armies.

-Comes off as a manic buffoon.

-Has to deal with Congress to get anything BIG done.

-Unpopular with business interests (save Google and Yama****a Industries for some reason), sworn enemies of mankind, Britannia.

Tetsuo Shima and Twilight Sparkle (TS-ALPHA and TS-BETA)

Long range teleportation is risky business. No two beings could serve as a better example than this pair of psionic chimeras, who, as a result of a trans-astral collision, were subjected to pain beyond death and captured by a shadowy megacorporation, which is arguably the worst part.

http://i.imgur.com/kBPnI.jpg

Shima Tetsuo was just another angst-ridden, disenchanted teenager in Neo-Tokyo. Then he started getting really, really, really bad headaches. Headaches that resulted in some weird and terrible things happening that would ultimately culminate in his transformation into THIS:

http://i.imgur.com/LpOjh.jpg

Fortunately for everyone involved, this was quickly followed by Tetsuo achieving apotheosis and transcending the physical reality in order to wander the astral tides between universes as an enlightened observer.

http://i.imgur.com/eHR6t.png

Twilight Sparkle was a magical unicorn from the distant world of Equestria, which is populated entirely by such things. Possessing human-like intelligence and a great well of academic curiosity, she was the lone student of Princess Celestria, the supreme, deity-like ruler of that land.

On orders from her teacher, she moved from the great castle-city of Canterlot, to the small village of Ponyville, where she made a bunch of friends and had fantastical adventures with them.

One day, she was practicing with her magical abilities by working on long distance teleportation, something that she had always had immense trouble with. She could only do it in times of great stress, and she always ended up dazed and slightly singed when she arrived.

Some things are better left alone, because when she attempted to see just how far she could go, her astral presence collided with Tetsuo's at a rate of speed so high that it cannot actually be measured.

The result was their presences merging into one and crash-landing in a field somewhere in Japan. Well, not so much 'crash-landing' as 'forcibly returning to the material plane' but you get the drift.

The thing is, two distinct entities are NOT supposed to merge into one the way that Tetsuo and Twilight did, and the thing that materialized was...

http://i.imgur.com/byk6M.png*
*the correct reaction to the horrid thing that they became

Yeah. Suffice to say that the only reason that either of them is actually sane is because they went into a coma the instant the unspeakable agony reached their brains.

Now, however, they have been separated and restored to their normal forms (although there have been some changes made during reconstruction due to just HOW damaged they were by the collision) and were held captive by the shadowy megacorp, so that their unique genetic codes could be harvested for use in making supersoldiers for the Volturi/Britannia/Aztechnology/Fae Courts/Whatever other bunch of pricks is backing the corp.

Capabilities and Assets:

+Telepathically linked to each other.

+Powerful psionic/magical abilities.

+Physically fit, capable of boosting capabilities with TK powers.

-Hunted by the megacorp that rebuilt them.

-True potential hampered by genetic tampering.

-Distinctive, even in transhuman NeoTokyo-3.

-Tetsuo's powers might not be completely stable...

I finished my exams, and don't have to work for a week.

I shall now clebrate as is the custom of my people, by meeting friends, going to the uni pub despite the fact it's about lunch time, then drinking, partying, and wishing I wasn't single.

Baron Klaus Von Wullfenbach

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/barron.bmp

The great Baron Klaus von Wulfenbach, master of all he surveys, ruler of most of Europa, commander of the greatest army of Clanks the world has ever seen (not to mention the Jaegermonster side of his forces). Greatest Spark of the age, the man who rules with a firm but understanding hand.
Klaus is not a populist ruler. He does not give a damn about what anyone thinks about him, and lets them say what they will, as long as they don't make too much noise. He doesn't care what administrations do as long as they do it quietly, and he does not believe in chaos. In fact, the entire basics of his administration can be summed up in six words: Don't make me come over there.
His Empire is actually a lot of states who simply defer to him when he tells them to, but otherwise act as they always have. He is not respectful of tradition, but he doesn't destroy it unless he has to, and generally runs a pretty good Emprie. Given the alternative is basically perpetual war, very few honestly disagree, though given Klaus is a hard man who is capable of doing whatever it takes to keep things, that does not mean he's nice about it. He created a continent of order, but he did it his way, and everyone has to play by his rules. Or else.
He makes alliances when he sees no need to intervene. He considered intervening during the metal wolf incident, but didn't, and was pleased that the president resolved it himself. The two have an unofficial alliance, and even hav been known to work together.

+ Sparks have a tallent. His is 'Observe, then build what they did, only BIGGER and BETTER!' When in the madness place, the laws of physics and biology are guidelines rather then rules, and he is capable of performing feats that seemingly defy what can be understood.

+ Unlike most Sparks, he can control his outbursts, by keeping them down by pure will, except when he releases them in controlled circumstances. This is when he makes most of his weapons.

+ Impressive inteligence and organizational ability. Also very good at rapid improvisation. He can construct a working gun from spare parts in seconds.

+ Eight feet tall and built of pure muscle. Also a construct, artifical human, and has experimented with the Jaeger Draught. He is very strong, very tough, and looks a lot like a cross between Andrew Jackson and Clint Eastwood.

+ Master fencer. He makes his son, who is also a master fencer, look like a layabout by comparison, and can take on dozens at once, or even deflect bullets.

+ Castle Wulfenbach is an airship built on plans salvagd from a dead world by a certain individual in his pay. It is The Deus Ex Machina, only BIGGER and BETTER! As in, the size of a city, rather then castle. It's very efficient, terrifying and awesome, but it can't land and requires costant maintainance.

- Hates politics, and, like most sparks, is bored easily. He really doesn't want to run his empire, he'd rather leave it to his son and get back to adventuring, finding lost civilizations of warrior women and becoming their king, outsmarting evil overlords and that sort of pulp adventures.

+ Good at reading people. Better at finding tasks for everyone. When he takes over, he takes the constructs and weapons they built, and adds them to his own.

- Is not reasnoble. Zero tollerence policy. Is not loved. Respected, definately. Feared, certainly. Loved? No. Also does not know when to stop pushing.

Not shown: Borris (his secratary), the Jaeger Generals, Bangladesh DuPree, Dr Sun and GILGAMESH WULFENBACH!

{Ah. Doliest must be playing either Claudia or Alessa: I'm guessing Claudia, given her references to the "Bitch" that sealed her away}

You're on the right track. Still wrong but in the right ballpark.

Richard Seaton

He winks back into existence right outside the Congressional Library, only to find a ridiculously large and heavily armed armored power suit pointing several guns at his nose.

He raises his hands with a slight grin. "I just wanted to check out a book, President Wilson. I think something's wrong with the automatons."

The President isn't at the liabrary he's at the furniture factory elsewhere in the city because ninja blew up his desk and mercenaries took control of the factory for no good reason.

RE the Metal Wolf not requiring Spark engineering:

That's if the Metal Wolf was a normal powersuit (which exist in Metal Wolf Chaos' setting, and are presumably the type of thing that Michael used in Arizona).

It isn't. Normal powersuits were meant to be a low-cost, easily-deployed alternative to larger, more powerful units, like Knightmare Frames, War Clanks, and other such mecha. Overwhelming them through swarm tactics and all that.

The Metal Wolf was meant to combine the tactical versatility of a powersuit with the awe-inspiring power of an honest-to-god Super Robot.

Given the fact that it can easily dual-wield fire-linked pairs of GAU-8 Gatling Cannons, carry sufficient ammunition to sustain fire for over two minutes, and do the EXACT SAME THING for no less than six other 'light' weapons, one has to agree that it is a complete success.

It is absurd by any sane standard.

Frankly, no idea. Indy, Shoveler, Animekid(Maybe) You(Unsure of character), Darkblade(I think)....and that's the current line up. I could potentially pull that off. The villains outnumber the heroes 7 to 5, but still, I could work it.

True, but the Villains outnumber the players, and none of them are going down quickly. Not to mention the final villain...depending on the events, could probably deal with 'everyone attacks at once' pretty easily. Depending on the events. The players can create a scenario where the villain wins, and if they can't figure out a way out, I'll let that ending happen. I'm Laizze-Fairing this one; if the players fail, they fail. The actual possiblity for an 'everyone dies, mission fails' ending spices things up, I think. :smalltongue:

Well the nice thing about a Plot Point system in one's game is that it automatically creates a sort of 'carbon credit' cap on the various amounts of awesome a player can enact. And, since you are the one that distributes these plot points, this makes the players seek to please you with good acting and noble actions and stuff.

Alcaratz is no longer really viable, since he's now in charge of safeguarding all the information in the universes. He makes the rules, and if it comes to it, he changes them. He's very nearly omnipotent.

As to the Order of the Tower, I envision them as I set them up. Most important is not power but nobility, corage and desire to do good, so they are mostly ordinary humans with a few powers or the like. Well, three of them are half demon, but the thought is there. They keep the tower safe, at all costs.
They also have serious power. They have Elric's swords, the Saint of Killers guns, and other, likewise 'desperate measures' equipment in a vault beneath their base they can fall back on if it comes to it.

Probably he would. Deithard is essentially Bizzaro Spider. He is a damn good seemingly straightlaced TV Journalist who will ruthlessly pursue any story he deems worthy even to the point of escalating a war if he has to. The major difference is he isn't concerned about the truth so much as he is about bringing a good story to the light. He won't completely falsify a story but he will exagerate and spin a story any way he feels if it will make the story better in his eyes.

Although since most of his work was in Britanania and Japan Spider has probably never met him in person and only knows him by reputation.

There might be issues with there being nine of them and some of them (namely the Spy and Engieneer) pushing the power level a bit but they only really work as a full unit.

The Shoveler

Depends on which side they're on. If they're against the vampires/lycans then I can fit them in. There is one villain who isn't quite normal and could handle them, so I could put them into Team 2 (Three teams. Yay!) for the game.

If they are with the vampires/lycans, then I could fit them in against Team 2.

I assumed they would have to deal with that.

Also their magic lets them ignore science and just be giant birds in space. It's magic, I don't have to explain it.

If it helps (and you know what I'm talking about) imagine they operate on Spelljammer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spelljammer) logic.

Okay. According to Spelljammer logic, they would carry a pocket of air and heat with them into space, and they can magically propel themselves through the vacuum.

Does this mean that they just happen to be giant birds that can survive and move through space in much the same way that they fly through the air, or that they become much more powerful in Space?

NOTES AND EXPLANATIONS:

What Twilight and Tetsuo are doing is basically turning the floor in front of them (where Dimtri and his gunmen are standing) into a tsunami, which will hopefully bury their enemies in rubble and linoleum and allow them to make a break for it.

The Ursa Minor is an actual thing from My Little Pony. It's taller than a house, and that's when it's on all fours. An adult, appropriately referred to as an Ursa MAJOR, is apparently the size of a f**king MOUNTAIN, as it is sufficiently large enough to cradle the Minor in one paw.

As for the Chaplain Corps being equivalent to Navy SEALS, well, they're guaranteed to be ludicrously effective against the Red Court, and are probably decent enough against any other supernatural threat. Might as well make them as good as possible.

Gulping
2010-11-30, 02:30 AM
Also, sheer numbers. Each Chaplain represents thousands of hours in training, and an equally significant amount of monetary investment. There ain't that many of them, and even though they're good against the Red Court vampires themselves, they're somewhat less amazing against the chimeric abominations that the RC likes to bring in.

There are specialized powersuits, but they're still in development and will likely be just as expensive and time-consuming to produce as the Chaplains themselves are in comparison to normal suits and soldiers.

A good eighteen percent of the Defense budget goes into the Chaplains and the armor that's being made for them. This the third largest single expenditure on the U.S. Armed Forces' books.

The other two big expenditures are 'Border Security' (which includes not just land borders, but the ocean as well) and 'Iron Bomb Development' (A WMD specifically for killing Sidhe).

[I am pulling these numbers completely out of my ass, obviously enough]

Weirdly, Defense spending overall is DOWN, primarily because President Wilson publicly stated that graft is equivalent to treason, and will be punished appropriately.

The prices paid by the Pentagon went WAY down after that announcement.

The MLS is an actual weapon in Metal Wolf Chaos, and is a reference to the King's Field series that were From Software's earliest games. The Moon Light Sword has since appeared or been referenced in almost every other game they've made, appearing as high level beamswords in Armored Core, the ultimate weapon in Otogi, and as a special weapon in Demon's Souls.

They're dead. Instead of using Maggie for the Bloodline curse they used Thomas (and modified the magic so it kills both the human and demon parts of him) which kills the entire Wrath Family and a large chunk of the other families. To be fair the Golden Compass is a much better name than Northern Lights which sounds like a documentary about the Auroa Borealis.

Oh ****! The Red King's Holding his wife and son hostage!

The last time an enemy managed to hold family hostage was when Mark "Blackheart" DuQuesne took over the Earth. It didn't end well for DuQuesne. Mainly because Seaton has well-oiled reflexes worthy of Roland of Gilead, and is a student of the Mal Reynolds school of hostage negotiations.

The Air Force One is Michael's personal plane, and is used for everything from diplomatic missions to combat deployments.

In terms of capabilities, imagine that the Concorde, B-2 Stealth Bomber, and B-52 Flying Fortress were all mashed together into something that is virtually indistinguishable from an ordinary passenger airliner. Now give it a camouflage system that can make it look like an ordinary passenger airliner, or a cloudless sky, or a stray chunk of some big heavy-ass cumulonimbus. The plane can look like whatever it NEEDS to look like. Air Force One is a scary piece of kit.

Jody controls the plane, remotely operating it from her command center in the hangar down in the White House's basement. She basically just tells it where to go and what to do when it gets there, and the automated systems handle the rest.

There's a manual override available so that Michael can take control of the ship in case of emergency. He can also summon the plane to come to his current position whenever he needs to be extracted. He can't steer the thing, though. Otherwise, he'd do noting BUT fly around and right wrongs with the power of his amazing robot suit.

The thought is admirable, but there is more to being President than traipsing across the continent in your absurd superplane and smashing evil wherever it springs up.

I just checked the TV Tropes page, and found to my delight that "Vampyr Assassin" has an entry!

This is gratifying on many levels. It'll be interesting to learn how many tropes we used in that game:

Anticlimax boss, shout out, Expy, Too Dumb to Live, Remember When You Blew Up a Sun, Cool vs. Awesome, Summoning Magic, the Power of Rock, Ninjapiratezombierobot....

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Holy Hand Grenade, Gun Akimbo/The Gunslinger, Rule of Cool, Cool Shades, Everything's Deader With Zombies, and many others if I can remember them.

Hooray for TvTropes! Saving many a life with their witty trope labeling system.

Technically those would be Captain Erstraz not Expy unless you also created the characters you are ripping off.The definitions were changed. Now it's
Expy (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Expy): based on another character
Captain Ersatz (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CaptainErsatz): obviously supposed to be another character, with minor details changed to avoid lawsuits

Here is what these words mean:
Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.
Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given away.

Now that's what I'm talking about. The first act of Graffiti was by God, on the wall of the palace of Belshazzar. And V does his thing.

The Diving Shield thing is meant to protect the Metal Wolf from both the heat of atmospheric re-entry and the impact of striking the Earth's surface. The latter is accomplished through retro-rockets, inertial dampeners, and a contra-gravity system.

It's also very resistant to bullets, explosives, and particle beam shots. The problem is that it's simply too large and cumbersome to use in combat, and the armor and systems necessary for it to work for its intended purpose mean that there's no room for any integrated weaponry. It's pure defense.

He can't do magic. There's that. And that Britanian anti transmission spell really crimped his style.

He...doesn't have super strength either. Unless he's projecting one of those 5th Order holograms.

That wasn't a spell but badly explained tech from Code Geass. It also shut down the limited tech the Red Court had over the Pyramid.

Easy.
Spider's going to Volterra, which is where Gilgamesh is. Klaus is the most important man in Europe, and Gilgamesh is his son.
One phonecall and they'd tell him which plane he's on. I mean, wouldn't you?
And as the Baron's army is transported around in giant combat capable zeppelins that go faster then the speed of sound, he just takes one of them, follows the route Spider is taking, shines a search light on the plane and says 'you're coming into Europa, this is a routine randomly taken out search, if you refuse we'll blow you out of the sky.'
He's a tyrant, remember. He makes the rules.

No he's leaving Volleretta...I'm just going to chalk it up to some kind of spark tech because I have no immediate hooks for Spider.
