A wizard uses magic jar to posses an ally. Then they cast a personal range self-buff (for example, shapeshift). Before then end of the spell's duration, they end the soul jar possession.

Does the shapeshift spell continue to affect the person they were possessing, or does it remain on their 'spirit', transferring along with them to their next 'victim'?

If they shifted before leaving the possessee and did not shift back, what form are they in after the wizard leaves?

edit: It's magic jar, not soul jar.

Interesting use of this: share spells with your familiar while they're in another character's body. Like wish to increase ability scores.

A similar question was a little debated in this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170930)

I feel that is subjected to DM's intrerpetation. I'm inclined to say that shapeshift spell continues to affect the possessed character.
